The Trinity The Touchstone of Truth

“…God said unto him, I am God Almighty…” (Genesis 35:11, KJV)

This “God” in the quoted scripture above isn’t the Father?

Is that how far you will go to defend an unbiblical doctrine?

Did not God speak through his inspired writers?
You dodged the question. I’m holding you to the exact same standard you placed on me.

The Father like the Son never said “ I Am God”

hope this helps !!!

Yet you do not post any scriptures plainly teaching the trinity.

They're there you just ignore them or just plain can't see them. The bible talks about this.

Hearing you will hear and shall not understand, And seeing you will see and not perceive; For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them.’ But blessed are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear. For truly I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it" Matthew 13:10-17

There are no plain scriptures saying plainly, JESUS IS GOD.

You just want to brainwash me into your ideology.

Seriously?

:cautious:
It seems you have missed several passages in coming to your conclusion.
This video shows why you likely misunderstand some of the passages.

There are no passages teaching that JESUS IS GOD.

And I’m not interested in learning how the “trinity” is imposed on the holy scriptures.
I'm not sure how to argue with you if you miss the verses that speak of Jesus as God and Christ. That is the very essence of Jesus as God. If you are making demands on how God should convey this to us, you have to argue that to God, not to us.

Actually you're not even on my to-do list. But your post does make me think of the wizard of oz. How's that song go if I Only Had a Brain?:ROFLMAO:

But seriously folks it's not my ideology, it's what mainstream Christianity adheres to. It's not a "cult" as you've already called it this morning. The Trinitarian view is the orthodox doctrine in mainstream Christianity.

If you don't understand the trinity you don't know who God is.

The whole bible teaches Jesus is God. You're just not interested in learning the truth. That's a shame because the truth will set you free.

But your post does make me think of the wizard of oz. How's that song go if I Only Had a Brain?

Mockery is all you have.

Pay more attention to biblical doctrine that promotes holiness and stop promoting imaginary doctrines that do nothing to help Christian character.

it's what mainstream Christianity adheres to.

Is this how you measure truth?

If you don't understand the trinity you don't know who God is.

There’s no scripture that teaches this.

I suppose you can see anything in the Bible that you believe in your own mind.

I know the plain unadulterated truth of the holy scriptures.

But it appears that you have moved on from the truth of the Bible unto the doctrines and traditions of men.
You're awfully good at supposing. You suppose that you know the truth of the bible when your posts prove that you don't. You can try to persuade people by using big words like unadulterated when in reality they are poorly manufactured falsehoods.

Did you know that the early church coined the term “Trinity” in the late second century to articulate the mystery revealed by Christ? But the first glimpses of plurality within God are recorded in the Old Testament, not the New.

From the first chapter, the Spirit of God is introduced Gen. 1:2, and God refers to himself by the plural pronouns “we” and “us” . While the oneness of God is strongly emphasized, the word used to describe God as “one” in Hebrew scripture, ehūd, is an elastic term that can be used to describe unity in diversity. Similarly, “Elohim” and “Adonai,” used for God in the Old Testament, are plural terms, perhaps foreshadowing a reality not yet fully revealed.

I suppose not.

I love how the people that dish it out can't take it. You definitely fit that bill.

The name of Jesus has a Trinitarian background and framework to it. The conception, baptism, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus are Trinitarian in framework. All of these key points in the story of Jesus originate in the Father and are performed through Jesus by means of the Holy Spirit.

It's all about Jesus, He is god in the flesh... Emmanuel, God with us.

So that must be proof that the Trinity is a hidden truth?

God didn't make his triunity known to us by informing us of facts about it. Instead, he made it known through the incarnation of the Son and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. The revelation of the Trinity took place in those acts, which God then explained.

You suppose that you know the truth of the bible when your posts prove that you don't

I haven’t posted any teachings that the Bible doesn’t plainly support.

the early church coined the term “Trinity” in the late second century to articulate the mystery revealed by Christ

They invented a doctrine and perfected its precepts over time.

Now many just assume that it’s biblical truth and cause unnecessary divisions.

They seem to reveal a deep mystery regarding a relationship of Christ and God.

Nothing more.

But you just jump to conclusions that are not in the Bible.

What other hidden doctrines can we defend with this logic?
you are trying to justify your own interpretation against the wording. You seem to be able to make up anything you feel like by disregarding what the text says.
