You are confused.
When I quoted from them before, you rejected them.
Driver-Briggs Clearly states.
"2. So EVERY TIME Jesus used the words "My Father", He was making Himself equal with God."There's no better commentator on the scriptures than Jesus and the apostles themselves.
Listen to what the apostle John concludes in John 5:18. Again, these are the apostle John's comments:
"For this reason therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him,
1. because He not only was breaking the Sabbath,
2. but also was calling God His own Father,
making Himself equal with God.
There we have the truth:
Jesus DID break the Sabbath
And He DID make Himself equal with God.
End of discussion.
Period.
Any denial of what the apostle John said was true is, of course, false.
1. So in the story of the lame man at the pool at Bethesda, Jesus VIOLATED the Law twice. First, He healed (did work) on the Sabbath. Second, He commanded the lame man to violate the Sabbath Law by picking up his pallet and walking with it.
2. So EVERY TIME Jesus used the words "My Father", He was making Himself equal with God.
This why the Jews WANTED TO KILL HIM. If this was not breaking the Law and blasphemy, they would not have reacted so violently.
You can argue, rationalize, whine, complain about these truths all day long - it will not change the truth. You will be wrong.
no, just reproved you as now.... (smile).... READ sometimes. You are confused.

the TRUTH of God will never make sense to anyone who believes that God is three persons. The above makes zero sense, but I am used to that with you.
@Fred, in all honesty,
Isaiah 41:4 "Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the first, and with the last; I am he." now this, Isaiah 44:6 "Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God." one more, Isaiah 48:12 "Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last."
all joking aside, do you really believe that the First and the Last is two distinct and separate persons? yes or no.
101G.
Fred if the First is With the Last, and the First is the LORD, title Father, and the Last is the Son, title Lord, how is the First and the Last two person separate and distinct, listen, Revelation 1:10 "I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet," Revelation 1:11 "Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea." Revelation 1:12 "And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;" Revelation 1:13 "And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle."I already addressed your confusion concerning this and you haven't been able to refute it.
I do@Fred, in all honesty,
Isaiah 41:4 "Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the first, and with the last; I am he." now this, Isaiah 44:6 "Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God." one more, Isaiah 48:12 "Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last."
all joking aside, do you really believe that the First and the Last is two distinct and separate persons? yes or no.

so the one person here in revelation the First and the Last is two persons? note, Revelation 1:17 "And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:" Revelation 1:18 "I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death."I do
Isiah 44:6so the one person here in revelation the First and the Last is two persons? note, Revelation 1:17 "And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. so, so the First and the Lastn here in Revelation are two persons?
101G.
Because many thousands of years before Jesus walked on earth and the pages of the bible were written we have@MTMattie
I AM is one person, your answer please?.
Revelation 1:17 "And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:"
so please tell us how I, I, I, I, one person is two persons.
101G.
nope, all those titles are the same one person,,,,,, LOL, LOL, LOL. Isaiah 40:25 "To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One." Isaiah 44:8 "Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any."Isiah 44:6
I am the First and the Last
6 This is what the Lord says, the King of Israel
and its Redeemer—
the Lord of the Heavenly Armies is his name—
“I am the first and I am the last,
and apart from me there is no God.
Revelation 22:13
Revelation 22:13 "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End." This declaration by Jesus encapsulates His eternal existence and His comprehensive role in the divine plan, from creation to consummation.
Yes, 2 people who are called the same under the one title cover that is God.
let's see if this is true, John 1:3 "All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made."Exodus 3:14 And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM”; and He said, “This is what you shall say to the sons of Israel: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”
2 people
Yes, 2 people who are called the same under the one title cover that is God.
"2. So EVERY TIME Jesus used the words "My Father", He was making Himself equal with God."
Good, now this, Isaiah 40:25 "To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One." or this,
Isaiah 46:5 "To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like?"
now, if he is EQUAL WITH God then he is GOD, in an ECHAD of himself. because no one who is equal with him.
this is what GOD said by the prophets.
End of discussion., Period.

Post 257 updated for youlet's see if this is true, John 1:3 "All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made."
Isaiah 44:24 "Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;"
is the PERSON in John 1:3 is the same one PERSON Isaiah 44:24? YES or NO.
here the LORD was ALONE, and by himself in Isaiah 44:24. and alone means "having no one else present".
