I'm not ashamed of the gospel

Back to you
You're turning your back to me? How rude... I know you meant to say back at you but you're getting frustrated trying to hold up all that false Doctrine. I can understand I used to work in a courthouse so I'm used to seeing people attempting to to get a jury to believe their malarkey. Okay I promise I'll take it easy on you from now on.

Can a believer in ANY false doctrine be convinced by the laity ?
I'm thinking NOT, that it must be by the Holy Spirit only.
When ppl are so indoctrinated by men's theology, it is a brainwashing of the ability to see the truth.

Therefore can WE as the brethren help the steeped in Calvinists, the Catholics, the Mormons, the SDA's, the JW's or any cult by man's theology strip away the blinders and see the simplicity truth of God's grace and salvation offered to whosoever will believe?

In this I am finding myself to have less of a need to post online in forums that claim to be "Christian" bc it's all about the argument or debate of "this is what I believe, instead of this is WHAT GOD'S WORD OF TRUTH SAYS"!

@civic or any from the above mentioned denominal affiliations would like to answer.......

What led you away from false theological doctrine and or man/woman's cultic
teachings ?

Excellent topic for discussion and yes the Holy Spirit is a must for changing our minds, hearts. One must be open , teachable and humble to accept the truth, being corrected and having their beliefs challenged against brothers / sisters in Christ. I know for many years I was close minded until I started questioning things I was taught from the pulpits and just accepted they were true and did not challenge them. I’m always open now to “ reforming “ my beliefs.

As am I.
It was a hard road for someone whom thinks they are always right about their own beliefs, whether taught by man or private interpretation.

I exceeded in my adamancy of this very human prideful flaw and YES it took the HS to help me see this. He is still working through some things that I am unsure of in my own understanding even now.

I'm praying for a more humble approach to all my ways of thinking. I was a SS teacher for many years and did some deep digging & studying to be able to shed a brighter light on scripture.
( how prideful was that ) When in essence it is only the Holy Spirit that is THE.....EFFECTOR
John 16:7-10

7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;

10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;

Here's what's in store for Mormons if they choose to stop believing in Mormonism.

In Mormonism, a penalty is a specified punishment for breaking an oath of secrecy after receiving the Nauvoo endowment ceremony. Adherents promised they would submit to execution in specific ways should they reveal certain contents of the ceremony. In the ceremony participants each symbolically enacted three of the methods of their execution: throat slitting, heart removal, and disembowelment. These penalties were first instituted by Joseph Smith in 1842, and further developed by Brigham Young after Smith's death. The penalties were similar to oaths made as part of a particular rite of Freemasonry practiced in western New York at the time the endowment was developed. During the 20th century, the largest Mormon denomination, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church), gradually softened the graphic nature of their penalties, and in 1990, removed them altogether from its version of the ceremony. Other Mormon denominations continue to have the penalties as part of their temple oaths.

The Gospel

The entire Bible centers on a single, surprisingly simple theme: God loves you so much that He made a way to be forgiven for every sin, so you can spend eternity with Him. That’s the essence of the gospel, and the central subject of the Scriptures. The written Word of God is intended to help us understand this “good news.” By studying the Bible, we learn that each person needs to be saved (Romans 3:23), each person can be saved (Romans 1:16), and God wants each person to be saved (2 Peter 3:9).

What separates us from God is sin. No matter how good we think we are, every person is guilty of sin (1 John 1:10). Since God is absolutely perfect, no one deserves to spend eternity in heaven. Instead, we deserve to be separated from Him forever (Romans 5:16). No amount of effort, no good deeds, no money, no talent, no achievements are enough to take away this guilt (Isaiah 64:6). Fortunately, God doesn’t want us to be separated from Him, so He made a way to fix what’s broken (John 3:16-17).

That one and only way is through faith in Jesus Christ (John 14:6). God Himself came to earth, as a human, living a perfect and sinless life (Hebrews 4:15). He willingly died as a sacrifice to pay the debt for our sins (2 Corinthians 5:21). According to the Scriptures, anyone can be “saved”—forgiven by God and guaranteed heaven—through faith in Jesus Christ (Romans 10:13). This isn’t a call for blind, ignorant belief (Acts 17:11; 1 John 4:1). It’s an invitation from the Holy Spirit to submission and trust (James 4:7). It’s a choice to let go of everything else in order to rely entirely on God.

There is nothing anyone can “do” in order to be saved. The only way a person can find salvation is by accepting Jesus Christ as their savior. This simply means believing that…
That’s it! Anyone who truly believes those things is forgiven, changed from the inside out (James 1:18; 2 Corinthians 5:17), and destined for heaven. The gospel is simple enough for anyone to understand (Matthew 18:13), but very difficult for people to accept (Romans 1:20-21). The truth of the gospel means we are not perfect. We are not in total control of our lives (Psalm 39:5). We cannot save ourselves. We need something “more” than us to make things right (1 Thessalonians 4:8).

Becoming a Christian is not about being better than others. The gospel is for those who admit they are weak and need to be rescued (2 Corinthians 12:9). That’s a hard truth, but everything we learn from the Bible proves this truth. Each theme explored in Scripture points towards this gospel message of sin, redemption, and salvation through faith.

It’s the most important decision a person will ever make: do I accept what God offers, or do I turn my back on it (Matthew 7:13)?

Which one will you choose (2 Corinthians 6:2)?

I'm not ashamed of the gospel either, I'm a believer of the gospel. The word gospel means “good news,” so the gospel of Christ is the good news of His coming to provide forgiveness of sins for all who will believe.

False, the Gospel announces to the already forgiven their forgiveness of sins so they can receive a knowledge of it.

Isa 40:1-2

Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.

2 Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the Lord's hand double for all her sins.

Acts13 38

Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:

The gospel is good news because it brings a person into the everlasting and ever-increasing joy of Jesus Christ.

The gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died for our sins and rose again, eternally triumphant over his enemies, so that there is now no condemnation for those who believe, but only everlasting joy. That’s the gospel.

We've been transported into the kingdom of God.

The Bible teaches that the kingdom of God is not about external things like food and drink, but about internal qualities such as righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. This is clearly stated in Romans 14:17, which says, “For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.”

Righteousness refers to a state of being in right relationship with God, characterized by obedience to His commands and a desire to please Him. It is a quality that comes from within, and it is essential for living a life pleasing to God.

Peace is a state of being free from worry, anxiety, and fear, and it is a fruit of the Holy Spirit’s work in our lives. When we are living righteously, we can experience peace that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Joy is a deep and abiding happiness that comes from knowing and experiencing God’s love and presence in our lives. It is a fruit of the Holy Spirit’s work in our lives, and it is a hallmark of a life lived in harmony with God.

In the Holy Ghost, we can experience these qualities in a deep and meaningful way. The Holy Spirit is the one who convicts us of sin, guides us in righteousness, and fills us with peace and joy. When we are living in the Holy Ghost, we can experience a sense of freedom, joy, and peace that is not dependent on external circumstances.

Righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost are essential qualities for living a life pleasing to God. They are not external things, but internal qualities that come from a deep and abiding relationship with God. When we are living in the Holy Ghost, we can experience a sense of freedom, joy, and peace that is not dependent on external circumstances.

The greatest good of the gospel is not forgiveness, justification, or eternal life — as good as these are. The highest, fullest, deepest, sweetest good of the gospel is God himself, enjoyed by his redeemed people. The gospel is the good news that God bought for us the everlasting enjoyment of God.

No one is forgiven without their first repenting, which is why Jesus said, "Repent and believe in the gospel."

I like your post but I'd make something more clear about the first thing Righteousness. Yes we need to keep his commands (the walk of LOVE and believing on Christ's name) but the foundation of it all is FIRST know that the blood of Jesus our sins being remitted and blotted out is the place where Righteousness starts. We are made justified, just-as-if I'd never sinned. Out of that comes Peace and out of Peace comes Joy. You can never have confidence in righteousness or even sense it without realizing the precious blood has made this possible.

So if the Gospel bringss the person into the everlasting and ever increasing joy of their Salvation in Jesus Christ, that means they would have to be already regenerated, saved when the Gospel is sent to them, correct ?

My stand on regeneration is that it occurs during the new birth. I understand its timing can vary depending on a persons theological perspective. You seem to be holding to the calvinistic placement of regeneration in the order of salvation.

Most believe that regeneration happens after faith.

That’s the biblical order and teaching of Jesus and the Apostles.

You are Correct.

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33

To seek God's kingdom and His righteousness means to live in that ongoing repentance from sin, and to lead the kind of sincere, from-the-heart, devoted-to-God lifestyles Jesus has been describing. In response, God will make provision for whatever it is we truly "need" in order to accomplish His will.

Okay I can see that

I understand its timing can vary depending on a persons theological perspective.

I would say its timing varies according to when the Spirit gives them life

Well Yeah, Life precedes activity doesnt it, activity is the evidence of life

Most believe that regeneration happens after faith.

Im asking you sir, not others. What say you ?
Are you going to answer my original question to you sir ?Thanks
