Thank you for your input. It has proved thought provoking for me.

Though AI has the ability to use the information it receives towards fulfilling a given goal (whatever it has been programmed to achieve), so it is what it says it is, i.e., 'artificial intelligence'. Using it's input intelligently, in relation to it's programming. May God protect us from the worst of it's possibilities.

I thank God that we have a hope that is eternal which elevates the mind to things above, where our Saviour sits at God's right hand, the work of salvation accomplished: awaiting that day when He shall judge the world in righteousness, and we shall be manifested with Him, in resurrection glory.

I've long used this argument in defense of the Gospel message enlightening mankind.

I believe we can naturally recognize the life that exists in the words that transcend the language of men to bring to us information that awakens our consequence.

Intellect without consequence has no such anchor. Consequence contrary to reason and information known is awakened by such words of "life". We feel them in our very core.

Some of the AI is good such as in the medical field with surgical procedures and the like, also in manufacturing and other fields. But it can also be used for evil which we see in our governments with privacy and major social media companies that gather our information. Also in military it is being used is destructive ways beyond our imagination. Besides the above we now have the answers given by AI engines that the gullible will believe. It's a scary time in the history of mankind with its knowledge.

It will be interesting to debate with an AI about the hot topics often discussed in this Forum. For example, the debates between arminism and calvinism, or the Trinity.
The AI would be fed by the Bible to demonstrate that, based on Sola Scriptura, one of those positions is true.

It is impossible to give an AI a "perspective". Perspective is essential to understanding the Scriptures and only comes from a connection with God that involves our will.

The discussion of AI is meaningful to us be it deals with the inabilities of man to impart self awareness and emotion.

Love can never mean anything to an AI. Self preservation is not love. Love does not seek its own.

To me, acceptance of anything other than the Word of God as authoritative is the same as accepting the “mark of the beast.” As is so often the case, the enemy can, by seduction, make wrong seem right.
A student under enough pressure might allow AI to write his term paper, yet learn nothing. Someone without insurance might allow AI to diagnose his child’s illness, with terrible consequences. A person in spiritual distress might consult an AI guide to spiritual living—one with Jesus removed so as not to offend non-Christians.

I agree that AI can be useful in precision manufacturing, in robotic surgeries, etc.; but I am afraid it will mostly be employed not in God’s plan, but in satan’s.

My Mother, who had never had the benefit of the mechanical aids for housekeeping tasks, used to wonder at the rise in depression and stress related illnesses, saying that during her lifetime, there had never been time to be depressed, for there was work to be done.

God gave mankind work to do, and it was for their good. AI is increasingly taking from mankind the structure of a working day, and giving more leisure time in which to fall into bad habits, unhealthy thought patterns and behaviour.

AI is enabling a global "singular voice" similar to what last existed with the "Tower of Babel".

God drove Cain away from Adam, Eve, and Seth. The descendants of Adam and Eve eventually chose between Seth and Cain in joining their separated families. This created a balance within society were good and evil could coexist on this planet. Gradually, they all were united in singular focus. A singular voice at the "Tower of Babel".

I've often battled the thought of how beneficial yet destructive technology can be. I've worked in technology most of my life. I remember my first fascination with the ability to change the shell color on a RGB terminal in Apple 2 DOS and RS232 style communications. I never would have imagined what we have now.

Did you know that "AI" successes came about through LLM. Large Language Models. It is/was an attempt to train technology to learn the relationships between words and phrases.

Here is Google's AI response to LLM....

Talk about an connection..... You can probably remember first "speech recognition" solutions and "assistants". LLMs are combining and using GER (Generative Speech Correction) to assist with (Automatic Speech Recognition).

Reversing the effect of the judgment of God at Babel. I see what you are saying. The availability of mobile phone access and it's use in warfare, and crime that we are seeing taking place now is one thing, but this would extend the possibilities enormously worldwide.

I watched a programme on television last night that will not leave my mind today, it was a video record detailing the events of the attack by Hamas, on Israel, the taking of hostages and the mass slaughter of young people at the music festival held near Gaza. With narration on mobile devices, showing you the horror of what happened, as they sought to hide from their attackers. The fear! the pain! It brought back the enormity of the operation, and the scale of deaths that took place, and brought back to my mind the reason for what Israel is doing in seeking out Hamas and Hezbollah leaders and operatives. Nothing can take from the dreadful loss of life on all sides, but I was losing sight of the WHY: in seeing day after day the devastation being caused in the aftermath.

What is also coming before my mind is the sight of a large figure of Buddha under a canopy in the middle of the site where the music festival had taken place, it looked so gross, and inappropriate, a sacrilege in the land which God called His own.

Why I have said this I don't know, Forgive me for going off subject. I am not very clear about end time events, and what I do know is fragmented and lacks coherence, but what I witnessed was as bad as anything that occurred in the war with Germany, to the Jews at that time. They were so young, and their attackers took such delight in the killings, their words and facial expressions showing excitement and exhilaration in the face of their victim's fear and pain.
