When Is A Jew Not A Jew?

When is member 101G not member 101G?
Hmmm?
in what setting and context?

@jeremiah1five,
GINOLJC, to all.
Matthew 22:41 "While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them," Matthew 22:42 "Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David." Matthew 22:43 "He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying," Matthew 22:44 "The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?" Matthew 22:45 "If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?" Matthew 22:46 "And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions."

so how is Jesus "Lord" and also David son? can you tell us?

If you can understand this...

15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Gen. 3:15.

...then you have your answer.
Line upon line...

"Seed" are those that "come out of thee" (Abraham) within the confines of covenant:
3:25 "But now that this faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor" Believers are no longer underage children, but they have become full sons, full heirs! All of this occurs through God's grace, Christ's finished work, and our repentant faith response.

3:26 "you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus"

The phrase "are all sons of God" refers to those who have received Christ by faith (cf. John 1:12; 3:16; Rom. 8:14-17). This verse does not advocate universalism; nor does Rom. 5:18 or 11:32, but it does speak of the universal offer of salvation. "All" appears first in the Greek sentence for emphasis.

3:27 "For all of you who were baptized into Christ" This is not an emphasis on baptism as a means to salvation, for that is exactly the argument the Judaizers were using in connection with circumcision.

Christian baptism is a sign of the work of the Spirit which is mentioned earlier in Gal. 3:2,3,5,14 (cf. 1 Cor. 12:13). To be baptized in/by/with the Spirit was a biblical metaphor for becoming a Christian. Baptism was simply the opportunity for a public confession of faith in Christ and an accompanying symbol of an inner change. To make water baptism a precondition for salvation is to become a neo-Judaizer!

"have clothed yourselves with Christ"

This is an AORIST MIDDLE INDICATIVE which emphasizes a purposeful action on our part. This involves the idea of our "putting on" (as a garment) the family characteristics of God. This clothing metaphor was used often by Paul (cf. Rom. 13:14; Eph. 4:22,24,25,31; Col. 3:10,12,14). It is possible that it refers to the Roman rite of passage when a boy traded his childhood toga for his adult toga, thereby becoming a full citizen (like the Jewish rite, Bar Mitzvah). This then would symbolize our becoming of full age and, thereby, a full heir.

3:28 The distinctions which the Judaizers emphasized are now totally removed in Christ.

There are no barriers for anyone to become a Christian.

The Jewish arrogance against Gentiles, slaves, and women has been totally removed.

Distinctions are not valid for salvation (cf. Rom. 3:22; 1 Cor. 12:13; and Col. 3:11), yet this does not mean that we are no longer male or female, slave or free, Jew or Greek. Those distinctions remain and there are passages that speak to these distinctions, but in the area of becoming a Christian there are no barriers. Every barrier raised by self-righteous, legalistic or biased humans, Christ has knocked down once and for all. Hallelujah!

Manfred T. Brauch, Abusing Scripture, p. 68 (also F. F. Bruce, The Epistle to the Galatians, p. 187) asserts that the three contrasting groups reflect an ancient synagogue prayer where Jewish men thank God they were not created as women, slaves, or Gentiles!

The new reality in Christ has negated and revealed the bias of first century Judaism. "In Christ" supercedes everything!

"for you are all one in Christ Jesus"

As humans are all one in Adam (Rom. 5:12ff.), they are all potentially one in Christ (cf. Rom. 5:18). The only barrier is personal repentance and faith in Christ (Mark 1:15; Acts 3:16,19; 20:21).

This collective emphasis is very similar to the concept of corporate Israel. We are now one new collective unit, the Church (cf. John 17; Rom. 12:4,5; 1 Cor. 12:12ff.).

Special Topic: Christianity Is Corporate

3:29 "if" Here, "if" introduces a FIRST CLASS CONDITIONAL SENTENCE, assumed to be true from the author's perspective or for his literary purposes.

"if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's descendants, heirs according to promise"

Not all national or racial Israel is truly spiritual Israel (cf. Gal. 6:16; Rom. 2:28-29; 9:6), but all who are the true Israel are so by faith.

Therefore, no more distinction was made between Jew and Gentile; only between those who have faith in the Messiah and those who do not.

There is no favoritism with God. God's one-time, universal gracious plan for the redemption of mankind is repentance and faith in His crucified Son. Those who respond by faith are made sons and heirs of God (cf. Titus 3:7)! There is no longer the OT distinction of Jew vs. Greek.

This new reality also affects the nationalistic and geographical prophecies. The distinction between Jew and Gentile is no longer valid. Now the distinction is unbeliever and believer. No NT author, including Jesus, ever reaffirms the OT nationalistic prophecies to Israel. Palestine and Jerusalem are no longer the focus of God's activity. The whole world is the new holy land. Jerusalem is no longer a special, holy city. It is now "new Jerusalem" (cf. Rev. 3:12; 21:2,10), which is a symbol of heaven. Be careful of systematic theologies that focus or magnify OT prophecies as ultimate future realities!

Gentile Christians take an inordinate pride is trying to connect themselves to being spiritual Israel or a spiritual Jew. But that can't be because to be a Jew or a spiritual Jew one would have to be from the tribe of Judah from which that designation originates.

I have a Question.

Is the Resurrected Jesus a Jew?

grace and peace .......

You do know Saul wrote this circular letter (Galatians) to the Jews in Jewish churches in the region of Galatia who are born-again, right?

2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Gal. 3:2.

The only people the above can apply to are Jews who are born-again by the Holy Spirit. Hard-core, uncircumcised Gentiles do not do "the works of the law."
Saul's statement here..."For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus" (Gal. 3:26) is preceded by the words:

23 But before faith came, we [JEWS] were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
24 Wherefore the law was our [JEWS] schoolmaster to bring us [JEWS] unto Christ, that we [JEWS] might be justified by faith.
25 But after that faith is come, we [JEWS] are no longer under a schoolmaster.
26 For ye [JEWS] are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. Gal. 3:22–26.

Thus, Saul's words are directed to Jews in these Jewish home churches who have become born-again by the Holy Spirit in the region of Galatia.
3:27 "For all of you who were baptized into Christ" This is not an emphasis on baptism as a means to salvation, for that is exactly the argument the Judaizers were using in connection with circumcision.
"Being baptized into Christ" IS spirit-baptism which these Jews received when they became born-again. It IS the Spirit-baptism by which one is converted/born-again. It IS the means of salvation for water-baptism does not save, "The like figure whereunto even [Spirit-] baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh [water-baptism], but the answer of a good conscience [Spirit-baptism does this internally] toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ" (1 Peter 3:21.)

Saul is NOT writing here about Judaizers who 'emphasized water-baptism as a means to salvation,' but Saul is writing to Jewish Christians who were unsure in their minds that being a Christ-follower did not affect their standing as a son of Abraham.

29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. Gal. 3:29.
And receiving the Galatian letter (as well as all the other New Covenant writings of Saul, Peter, James, John, Matthew, etc), as if these are writings to hard-core, uncircumcised Gentiles is to misunderstand the recipient-context of God's words in these letters written to Jews who became born-again Christian.
I think this is where your error begins.

This is an AORIST MIDDLE INDICATIVE which emphasizes a purposeful action on our part. This involves the idea of our "putting on" (as a garment) the family characteristics of God. 3:28 The distinctions which the Judaizers emphasized are now totally removed in Christ.
The Judaizers were not making 'distinctions' anywhere except to Gentiles when they became born-again Christians and they taught they also had to be circumcised in order to be saved. This was the question the Jerusalem Council addressed in Acts 15. There, at this council, the Judaizers did not mandate any circumcision for Gentiles after being saved and born-again, but they did mandate obedience to the Law of Moses in these instructions:

20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood. Acts 15:20.
There are no barriers for anyone to become a Christian.
There is only ONE barrier, or should I say, pre-requisite for anyone to become Christian. Their names must be written by God in the book of life of the lamb slain from [before] the foundation (creation) of the world (Rev. 13:8.)

I agree.
The new reality in Christ has negated and revealed the bias of first century Judaism. "In Christ" supercedes everything!
It wasn't necessarily 'Judaism' in this belief about thanking God one wasn't born a Gentile, female, or slave, but as you said, a personal bias.

3:29 "if" Here, "if" introduces a FIRST CLASS CONDITIONAL SENTENCE, assumed to be true from the author's perspective or for his literary purposes.

"if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's descendants, heirs according to promise"
And again, Saul is writing these words as I proved above through the text to Jewish Christians who were unsure of their standing in the prior covenants when the Jew became a Christ-follower. The "promise" is identified as the Abrahamic Covenant which was not a covenant God made with Gentiles but with a Hebrew (Abram - Gen. 14:13) and Hebrews (children of Israel.)
Not all national or racial Israel is truly spiritual Israel (cf. Gal. 6:16; Rom. 2:28-29; 9:6), but all who are the true Israel are so by faith.
If what you say is the correct understanding as to who a Jew (Hebrew) is, then the Abrahamic Covenant was given without "teeth" for everyone in Abraham's family including Abraham was not a Hebrew/Jew because the Holy Spirit did not baptize anyone into Christ until the Holy Spirit came about 3800 years later. This makes no sense to see what a Jew is using this understanding.
Therefore, no more distinction was made between Jew and Gentile; only between those who have faith in the Messiah and those who do not.
There still remains distinction between Jew and Gentile against the Church of God:

32 Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God: 1 Cor. 10:32.
There is no favoritism with God. God's one-time, universal gracious plan for the redemption of mankind is repentance and faith in His crucified Son. Those who respond by faith are made sons and heirs of God (cf. Titus 3:7)! There is no longer the OT distinction of Jew vs. Greek.

Can't be.
God IS a respecter of persons still. The Scripture is full of choices God makes towards one person against another person. God chooses who is recipient of His covenants and who isn't and Noah, Shem, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, the twelve sons of Jacob (Israel), etc., reveal God choosing one over the other and the basis of this is love. If God loves 'you' God will save 'you.' If God doesn't love 'you' then God will not save 'you' -

6 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.
7 The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:
8 But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
9 Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;
10 And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face.
11 Thou shalt therefore keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command thee this day, to do them.
12 Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the LORD thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers:
13 And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
14 Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle.
15 And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee. Dt 7:6–15.

Isn't this revealed in the Lord's Prayer when He instructs us to pray, "Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven."

The Judaizers were not making 'distinctions' anywhere except to Gentiles when they became born-again Christians and they taught they also had to be circumcised in order to be saved.

Acts 15:20.
The one beginning to show error is you-what is a Judaizer?

In the early church, those who taught a combination of God’s grace and human effort were called “Judaizers.” The word Judaizer comes from a Greek verb meaning “to live according to Jewish customs.”

The word appears in Galatians 2:14 where Paul describes how he confronted Peter for forcing Gentile Christians to “Judaize.”

A Judaizer taught that, in order for a Christian to truly be right with God, he must conform to the Mosaic Law. Circumcision, especially, was promoted as necessary for salvation. Gentiles had to become Jewish proselytes first, and then they could come to Christ. The doctrine of the Judaizers was a mixture of grace (through Christ) and works (through the keeping of the Law). This false doctrine was dealt with in Acts 15 and strongly condemned in the book of Galatians.

At the Jerusalem Council in Acts 15, a group of Judaizers opposed Paul and Barnabas. Some men who belonged to the party of the Pharisees insisted that Gentiles could not be saved unless they were first circumcised and obeyed the Law of Moses. Paul made the case that, in Christ, there was no longer any distinction between Jew and Gentile, for God had purified the hearts of the Gentiles by faith (Acts 15:8–9). He said it plainly in Galatians 2:16: “A man is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified.”

To add anything to the work that Christ did for salvation is to negate God’s grace. We are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, not by returning to the Law. “I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing” (Galatians 2:21).

There are many groups today with beliefs/practices very similar to those of the Judaizers of the New Testament. The two most prominent would be the Hebrew Roots Movement and the Roman Catholic Church. The teachings of the Hebrew Roots Movement are virtually identical to those of the Judaizers whom Paul rebuked in Galatians. A primary focus of the Hebrew Roots Movement is to put followers of Christ back under the bondage of the Old Testament Law.

The Roman Catholic Church teaches a doctrine similar to that of the Judaizers of the New Testament in this way: its doctrine is a mixture of law and grace. At the Council of Trent in the 16th century, the Catholic Church explicitly denied the idea of salvation by faith alone. Catholics have always held that certain sacraments are necessary for salvation. The issues for the 1st-century Judaizers were circumcision and Sabbath-keeping. The issues for modern-day Catholics are baptism, confession, etc. The works considered necessary may have changed, but both Judaizers and Catholics attempt to merit God’s grace through the performance of ritualistic acts.

First Timothy 4:3 says that, in later times, false teachers will “forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth.” This sounds suspiciously close to some of the teachings of Roman Catholicism, which requires priests to be celibate (“forbidding to marry”) and proclaims some food to be off-limits during Lent (“abstaining from certain foods”).

The Judaizers upheld the Mosaic Law as necessary for salvation; Catholics uphold man-made tradition as necessary; both view Christ’s death as being insufficient without the active and continued cooperation of the one being saved.

The Bible is clear that the attempt to add human works to God’s grace overlooks the very meaning of grace, which is “undeserved blessing.” As Paul says, “If by grace, then it cannot be based on works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace” (Romans 11:6). Praise the Lord, “Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery” (Galatians 5:1).

"Gentiles would hear the word of the gospel and believe"

God used Peter to witness to His love and acceptance of the nations! God allowed this new radical understanding to proceed in stages.

the Samaritans first, Acts 8
the Ethiopian Eunuch, Acts 8
Cornelius, Acts 10-11

These were not full practicing pagans, but were all related to Judaism. However, 1 and 3 were confirmed by the Pentecost experience, which was evidence for the early church of God's acceptance of other groups.

15:8 "God who knows the heart" This was a way of confirming God's complete knowledge (cf. 1 Sam. 1:24; 16:7; Ps. 26:2; 139:1; Pro. 21:2; 24:12; Jer. 11:20; 17:10; Luke 16:15; Rom. 8:27; Rev. 2:23) of the faith of these Gentile converts.

"giving them the Holy Spirit"

This apparently refers to the same type of spiritual experience as Pentecost ("just as He also did to us"). The very same manifestation of the Spirit occurred in Jerusalem, in Samaria, and in Caesarea. It was the sign to the Jewish believers of God's acceptance of other people groups (cf. Acts 15:9; 11:17).

15:9 "He made no distinction between us and them"

This was the theological conclusion Peter came to in Acts 10:28,34; 11:12. God is no respecter of persons (cf. Gal. 3:28; Eph. 3:11-4:13; Col. 3:11). All humans are made in the image of God (cf. Gen. 1:26-27). God desires all humans to be saved (cf. Gen. 12:3; Exod. 19:5-6; 1 Tim. 2:4; 4:10; Titus 2:11; 2 Pet. 3:9)! God loves the whole world (cf. John 3:16-17).

"cleansing their hearts by faith"
This term is used in the Septuagint to denote Levitical purification. It denotes the removal of that which separates us from God.

This is the very VERB used in Peter's experience of the clean and unclean animals in Acts 10:15 and 11:9 (which follows the LXX of Gen. 7:2,8; 8:20).

In the Gospel of Luke it is used for the cleansing of leprosy (cf. Luke 4:27; 5:12,13; 7:22; 17:14,17). It came to be a powerful metaphor for cleansing from sin (cf. Heb. 9:22,23; 1 John 1:7).

The heart is an OT way of referring to the whole person. See Special Topic at Acts 1:24. These Gentiles have been completely cleansed and accepted by God through Christ. The means of their cleansing is faith in the gospel message. They have believed, received, and fully trusted in the person and work of Jesus (cf. Rom. 3:21-5:11; Gal. 2:15-21).

15:10 "why do you put God to the test" The OT background of this statement is Exod. 17:2,7 and Deut. 6:16. This Greek term for "test" (peirazō) has the connotation of "to test with a view toward destruction." This was a serious discussion!

Special Topic: Greek Terms for Testing and Their Connotations

"yoke"
This was used by the rabbis for the recitation of the Shema, Deut. 6:4-5; therefore, it stands for the Law, written and oral (cf. Matt. 23:4; Luke 11:46; Gal. 5:1). Jesus uses it in Matt. 11:29 for the requirements of the New Covenant in Him.

"which neither our fathers or we have been able to bear"

This reflects the teachings of Jesus (cf. Luke 11:46). This subject is addressed by Paul in Galatians 3. But this is Peter who, like James, feels the weight of Judaism (cf. Gal. 2:11-21).

This phrase admits the theological truth that the Law was not able to bring salvation because fallen humanity could not keep a holy law (cf. Romans 7)! Salvation could not and cannot be based on human performance. However, the saved, gifted, and indwelt believer needs to live a godly life (cf. Matt. 11:30; Eph. 1:4; 2:10). Godliness (Christlikeness, i.e., Rom. 8:29; Gal. 4:19; Eph. 4:13) is always the goal of Christianity, for the purpose of providing opportunities for evangelism, not personal pride nor judgmental legalism.

15:11 This is a summary of salvation (i.e., "saved," AORIST PASSIVE INFINITIVE) by grace through faith (for Peter cf. Acts 2-3; for Paul cf. Acts 13:38-39; Rom. 3-8; Galatians 3; Ephesians 1-2). Notice the way of salvation is the same for Jews and Gentiles (cf. Rom. 3:21-31; 4; Eph. 2:1-10).

Is the Resurrected Jesus a Jew?

Was Jesus circumcised in the heart? or Eternally God?

Though God became a man, He never needed the circumcision of the heart. There is no Jew without such. The earth seed of man has always been targeted for Eternal seed.

Good question Gene but was Jesus a Jew before the resurrection? no, J5 said, "Gentile Christians take an inordinate pride is trying to connect themselves to being spiritual Israel or a spiritual Jew. But that can't be because to be a Jew or a spiritual Jew one would have to be from the tribe of Judah from which that designation originates."
@jeremiah1five, and any other out there who disagrees with what about to be said.
well ERROR, because the Lord Jesus did not come from the tribe of Juda, he only came "OUT" of Juda, and not "FROM" Juda. supportive scripture. Hebrews 7:14 "For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood." NOTICE "OUT" ..... NOT "FROM" JUDA..... big difference.

now if there is a challenge to what 101G said, then post scripture of the Lord Jesus biological A. father, from Judah, and his biological mother from Judah. notice, 101G did not say "BIRTH" or surrogate mother, no, but biological mother from Judah, and father. now post that scripture if U disagree.

Though God became a man, He never needed the circumcision of the heart. There is no Jew without such. The earth seed of man has always been targeted for Eternal seed.

Just because He did not need regeneration does not mean He was not a Jew in his flesh.
He was actually the perfect Jew. Automatically functioning as God would desire a Jew to
mature into if it were possible.

And, in Judaism its the mother who determines the status of being a Jew, not the father.

Countless people are part of the "Family of God" that died long before Abraham ever took a single breath. Enoch was one of them. So was Noah. So was countless others.

There is no "ethnic" quality to faith. Faith spans all nations of the earth. It always has.

nonsense, ok, then GIVE his "BIOLOGICAL" mother name. not the surrogate mother name, but the BIOLOGICAL mother name. book chapter and verse please.

101G.
It was her own ovum that God used.

The Holy Spirit provided the needed genetic materials to fertilize her own ovum.
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed;
it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." Genesis 3:15

Jesus could have no human father, because its the male sperm that passes down the sin nature.

Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin,
and so death spread to all men because all sinned. Romans 5:12

Why does it say? " because all sinned."
The Greek tense is saying that "all of us sinned in one point in time!"

Meaning?

Once Adam fertilized the ovum of Eve?
That sealed our fate, because the sin nature from Adam's sperm was passed down to all in that moment of conception!
For we all descended from Adam and Eve.

The Holy Spirit therefore provided the perfect sinless genetic material needed to fertilize Mary's ovum.
An ovum which descended from the promised line of David.

I understand this. But if Saul, who wrote the Galatian letter condemns any keeping of the Law for Gentile Christians why didn't he say anything when James sent Silas back to the Christians with instruction to keep the Law?

29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well. Acts 15:29.
The context of the distinction Peter was describing was that Cornelius, an uncircumcised Gentile didn't have to be circumcised to receive the Promised Holy Spirit. But there was still distinction between Jew and Gentile, as you can see, in the beginning of the New Covenant the Jewish Christians had to make sense of Messiah's effect upon the Abrahamic and Mosaic Covenants, that they didn't immediately have all the answers, but in time things got sorted out but it took years. But at this point in history the mindset of these early events was from a Jewish mindset, and that since everything happening was happening in Israel and it had to do with a Jewish Messiah and their covenants, the Jewish Christians approached everything happening in light of their Judaic traditions. This is why when the council was ended, they were sent away with instructions to keep these light provisions of the Law of Moses.
To add anything to the work that Christ did for salvation is to negate God’s grace. We are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, not by returning to the Law. “I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing” (Galatians 2:21).
I agree. But the Scriptures record something different. The Gentile Christians were instructed to keep a small portion of the Law. This shows that Jewish Christians approached everything happening in this New Covenant era with a Jewish mindset and in some accordance to Judaic traditions. Luke only records the history of what happened. He's not teaching doctrine here, only recording what happened in the first 30 years of the Jewish Church. It's up to us now to search the Scriptures to find out what they got wrong and what they got right. And placing a burden upon Gentile Christians in the decision of the Jerusalem Council was wrong.

Peter didn't preach "God's love and acceptance of the nations." He witnessed to ONE Cornelius, a Gentile God-Fearer, and one not circumcised but still one step away from the Abrahamic Covenant. Peter was apostle to the Jews, not the "all nations."
the Samaritans first, Acts 8
Samaritans were already in Covenant with God under the Abrahamic and Mosaic Covenants.
the Ethiopian Eunuch, Acts 8
This one was a circumcised Gentile proselyte.
Cornelius, Acts 10-11
These were not full practicing pagans, but were all related to Judaism. However, 1 and 3 were confirmed by the Pentecost experience, which was evidence for the early church of God's acceptance of other groups.
So, God is double minded. Jesus was sent to the lost sheep of the House of Israel, but the Father sends the Holy Spirit to the house of Gentiles? Inconsistent. It's a Jewish Covenant with a Jewish Messiah who was sent to the Jewish people. Nowhere does it say Jesus was sent to Gentiles.
All those Scriptures apply to the House of Israel under covenant. They were not applicable to Gentiles.

The context and distinction is in reference to being given the Promised Gift of the Holy Spirit to Gentiles. There was still distinction between covenant Jew and non-covenant Gentile. STILL.

Gal. 2:11-21).
At the conclusion of the Jerusalem Council the Jewish Christians put a yoke on uncircumcised Gentiles who became Christian thus showing that the New Covenant belonged to the House of Israel and they had to sort out the effect of their Messiah upon the Abrahamic and Mosaic Covenants. In Acts 15 they got it wrong.

2000 years later, and as Gentile Christians, that's what it's come down to now. But back in the first century they didn't have all the answers immediately. And as Acts 15 shows the Jewish Christians made mistakes.
Are you Orthodox?
I'm a Biblical Christian.

Jesus is a Jew forever from the tribe of Judah. I never said He wasn't a Jew. Stop making things up.

Gentile Christians take an inordinate pride is trying to connect themselves to being spiritual Israel or a spiritual Jew
a spiritual Jew is just that we been grafted into the vine. there is no spiritual value as per salvation being Jewish. so when we become Born again we have royal blood

Galatians 3:28-29

King James Version

28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. we are joint heirs the Jews are God people in the natural. we are God people who have been born again by the spirit
