Cornelius: Mixed Heritage Hebrew

got news for you. There is no requirement of faith in ANY of the three Hebrew covenants.
God only required circumcision (Gen. 17:10) from Abraham, and obedience from the children of Israel under the Mosaic Covenant (Exodus 19:5), and there is no faith required by God in the New Covenant either. The House of Israel and Judah contribute nothing in the New Covenant. They merely become saved, forgiven of their sin/iniquity and God saves them.
OLD NEWS.... which is Good, but the Good news is this, from the OLD NEWS, Deuteronomy 10:15 "Only the LORD had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all people, as it is this day." Deuteronomy 10:16 "Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked."
again, 101G don't blame Paul for a second in changing his name....... (smile) ... YIKES! .... "Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart" .... hello.... got it?

P.S. there is no news like GOOD NEWS........

What did the children of Israel know of the 'heart' in the center of their chest. There were no doctors or cardiologists. No x-rays, or stethoscope, nothing. The mention of "heart" in Scripture referred to the 'whole being' of a person, not the proverbial heart whose God-ordained function was simply to pump blood. And there's no such thing as "ask Jesus into your heart", nor does Jesus reside in anyone's 'heart.' Scripture places Jesus at the right hand of the power of God in glory and Christ in the world performing His Ministry to God's covenant people the children of Israel as prophesied by Joel.

What did the children of Israel know of the 'heart' in the center of their chest.
this is another reason why the apostle Paul CHANGED HIS name, this IGNORANCE runs even unto today. the heart, is not the heart in the center of your chest, the heart here is the spirit. my God how IGNORANT can one be.

To summarize the fallacy of the argumentation presented by our brother @jeremiah1five

  1. In explaining why God accepted Cornelius in the first place, Luke does use the argument of a mixed Hebrew genetic lineage.
  2. When God explains Peter why he should go to preach to Corneilus, God does not use the argument of a mixed Hebrew genetic lineage.
  3. In calming down surprised Jews back in Jerusalem, Peter does not use the argument of a mixed Hebrew genetic lineage.

this is another reason why the apostle Paul CHANGED HIS name, this IGNORANCE runs even unto today. the heart, is not the heart in the center of your chest, the heart here is the spirit. my God how IGNORANT can one be.

Saul, a rabbi and Pharisee from the tribe of Benjamin is Hebrew through and through and as a rabbi would NEVER change his birth name to a Romanized version since he was not Roman. It's a Gentile contrivance in order to make him the pinnacle of non-Hebrew Gentile legacy and familiarity and to make Gentiles more acquiesced to the Abraham Covenant, something completely foreign to the Hebrew Scripture.
The Abraham Covenant is between God, Abraam the Hebrew, and Abram's Hebrew seed, the twelve sons/tribes of Israel.
The Mosaic Covenant is between God and the children of Israel in the desert at the time of the Tabernacle.
The New Covenant is between God and the House of Israel and Judah. Both houses make up the twelve tribes of Jacob/Israel and the Hebrew people.

Show me through Scripture God mentioning non-Hebrew Gentiles in any of these three Hebrew covenants and win the argument.

he added the name Paul for he was a Roman citizen, lol, he held dual citizenship, Acts 16:37 "But Paul said unto them, They have beaten us openly uncondemned, being Romans, and have cast us into prison; and now do they thrust us out privily? nay verily; but let them come themselves and fetch us out."

Acts 22:25 "And as they bound him with thongs, Paul said unto the centurion that stood by, Is it lawful for you to scourge a man that is a Roman, and uncondemned?"

Acts 22:3 "I am verily a man which am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye all are this day."

Paul was born in Roman occupied Cilicia, and not in Israel.

1. Timiothy, who father was Greek. Acts 16:1 "Then came he to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timotheus, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and believed; but his father was a Greek:"

2. Acts 8:26 "And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert." Acts 8:27 "And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship," Acts 8:28 "Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet." Acts 8:29 "Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot." Acts 8:30 "And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?" Acts 8:31 "And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him." Acts 8:32 "The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:" Acts 8:33 "In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth." Acts 8:34 "And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?" Acts 8:35 "Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus." Acts 8:36 "And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?" Acts 8:37 "And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God." Acts 8:38 "And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him." Acts 8:39 "And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing." Acts 8:40 "But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea."

He was a Hebrew who was also a Roman citizen born in the Tarsus province.
It doesn't matter where he was born. He was still born to Hebrew parents from the tribe of Benjamin - NOT the tribe of Cilicia or Tarsus.

He added no name to himself except the name he was born with: Saul.

Show me in the Abraham Covenant recorded by Moses in Genesis 12, 15, and 17, God included non-Hebrew Gentiles in that covenant.

If I make a last will and testament and leave everything to one son of five, the other sons have no legal basis to receive anything. Now, if they get a stranger, some judge, to add them to my will then that would be illegal and a violation of my will of my possessions to one son. That's what non-Hebrew Gentiles do. There are no non-Hebrews in any of the three Hebrew covenants and so they add themselves. It doesn't matter. They can play make believe all they want but the fact remains: God made no covenant with non-Hebrews and so non-Hebrews (Gentiles) are outside the Hebrew covenants. It doesn't change the will of God.

It doesn't matter where he was born. He was still born to Hebrew parents from the tribe of Benjamin - NOT the tribe of Cilicia or Tarsus.
it does, even Moses was by Nationality an Egyptian, but yet his parents was not Egyptians, but he was born in Egypt.

sure one again. Genesis 17:1 "And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect." Genesis 17:2 "And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly." Genesis 17:3 "And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying," Genesis 17:4 "As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations." Genesis 17:5 "Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee." Genesis 17:6 "And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee." Genesis 17:7 "And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee."

there it is "and thy seed after thee" and that SEED is Christ, and in him are all NATION. supportive scripture, Galatians 3:16 "Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ." Galatians 3:17 "And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect." Galatians 3:18 "For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise."

was he born in Egypt?

101G.
Moses was born in Goshen, in the northeast part of Egypt. He wasn't Egyptian for the land of Goshen was given to Joshep for the Hebrew people. So, legally, Moses was not born an Egyptian. His nationality was not Egyptian. His nationality was Hebrew. Don't be confused and make Moses out to be Gentile.
