When Grace is not Grace

Jesus doesnt require faith from the sinner, the sinner is dead in sin, Jesus gives Faith in the Gift of Salvation
And Jesus told the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.” Luke 7:50

The sinful woman is not offended by Jesus. At some point, prior to this meal, she heard the message of repentance and forgiveness and believed. Her sins were forgiven.

Again Jesus doesnt require Faith, He gives it. He had gave that woman her faith

It is the only thing that is required!

For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.” Rom 1:17

No he did not.

She already had it...." 38 and stood at His feet behind Him weeping; and she began to wash His feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head; and she kissed His feet and anointed them with the fragrant oil."

Nothing is required for a person to become saved, Jesus met all requirements, He gives Salvation to all for whom He died and rose again, His Sheep, who He gives Faith, not require it.

Amen as He did not say : the faith I gave you saved you. it was her faith in Him that saved her just as the rest of these passages where Jesus tells us the exact same thing. their faith saved them- @brightfame52

Here is how some would rewrite Jesus words below and add to scripture things that were never said nor implied.

Parenthesis is Calvinism false assertion below that God gives faith. Jesus said it was THEIR faith that saved them.

Luke 7:50
And he said to the woman, Thy faith ( I have given you claims the calvinist)hath saved thee; go in peace.

Luke 8:48
"Daughter," said Jesus, "your faith ( I have given you claims the calvinist)has healed you. Go in peace."

Luke 17:19
Then Jesus said to him, "Rise and go; your faith( I have given you claims the calvinist) has made you well!"

Luke 18:42
"Receive your sight!" Jesus replied. "Your faith( I have given you claims the calvinist) has healed you."

Notice above how they add words to Jesus words to fit their doctrine.

Matthew 8:10
When Jesus heard this, He marveled and said to those following Him, "Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith.

Matthew 8:13
Then Jesus said to the centurion, "Go! As you have believed, so will it be done for you." And his servant was healed at that very hour.

Matthew 9:2
Just then some men brought to Him a paralytic lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, "Take courage, son; your sins are forgiven.

Matthew 9:22
Jesus turned and saw her. "Take courage, daughter," He said, "your faith has healed you." And the woman was cured from that very hour.

Matthew 9:29
Then He touched their eyes and said, "According to your faith will it be done to you."

Matthew 15:28
"O woman," Jesus answered, "your faith is great! Let it be done for you as you desire." And her daughter was healed from that very hour.

Mark 5:34
"Daughter," said Jesus, "your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be free of your affliction."

Mark 10:52
"Go," said Jesus, "your faith has healed you." And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.

John 4:53
So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house.

No he did not.

She already had it...." 38 and stood at His feet behind Him weeping; and she began to wash His feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head; and she kissed His feet and anointed them with the fragrant oil."
Amen read my last reply. :)

Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. John 3:18

I see nothing about faith being a requirement to get saved. Faith is given as a Gift with Salvations by Grace

Amen Jesus places it on man, not Him. Mans responsibility in salvation is to believe and those who believe God saves. Jesus teaches synergism, not monergism. Any relationship takes two willing parties. :)

Its Jesus responsibility to give Faith to them He died for. Thats His role as Saviour

In fact making man responsible to do something in order to get saved or stay saved is the deadly false teaching of works salvation!

I dont know, but since she exhibited it, He gave it to her. Nobody can come to Jesus unless they have been drawn Jn 6:44. Was she drawn to Christ ? Then she had the Gift of Faith given to her

A Sinful Woman Pours Perfume on Jesus

36 One of the Pharisees invited Jesus to have dinner with him. So he went to the Pharisee’s house. He took his place at the table. 37 There was a woman in that town who had lived a sinful life. She learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house. So she came there with a special jar of perfume. 38 She stood behind Jesus and cried at his feet. And she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair. She kissed them and poured perfume on them.

39 The Pharisee who had invited Jesus saw this. He said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him. He would know what kind of woman she is. She is a sinner!”

40 Jesus answered him, “Simon, I have something to tell you.”

“Tell me, teacher,” he said.

41 “Two people owed money to a certain lender. One owed him 500 silver coins. The other owed him 50 silver coins. 42 Neither of them had the money to pay him back. So he let them go without paying. Which of them will love him more?”

43 Simon replied, “I suppose the one who owed the most money.”

“You are right,” Jesus said.

44 Then he turned toward the woman. He said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water to wash my feet. But she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. 45 You did not give me a kiss. But this woman has not stopped kissing my feet since I came in. 46 You did not put any olive oil on my head. But she has poured this perfume on my feet. 47 So I tell you this. Her many sins have been forgiven. She has shown that she understands this by her great acts of love. But whoever has been forgiven only a little loves only a little.”

48 Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”

49 The other guests began to talk about this among themselves. They said, “Who is this who even forgives sins?”

50 Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.”

The woman already knew who Jesus was and came uninvited into the house.
She came to anoint Jesus, because she knew who he was. Jesus had never seen her before.
This was only 1 of 3 similar accounts in the Gospels.
In each account, a woman pours out a precious and costly perfume in an extravagant act of worship. The three women who anointed Jesus recognized Christ’s unequaled value and expressed their gratitude with unreserved love and devotion. Two anointings of Jesus happen during the week of Passover and are linked with His imminent death and burial. The earlier anointing, in Luke’s account, is in the middle of Jesus’ ministry in Galilee and draws a different lesson on forgiveness and love.

In each case, the woman’s actions signal more than she knows. But, although she may not fully comprehend the messianic significance of her anointing, each woman had come to appreciate Christ’s worth more than anyone else at the table.
In the case of the woman from Luke above.... she did not know until Jesus said “Your sins are forgiven.” “Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.”

She was not given faith before hand or after by Jesus....

Amen sticking to the biblical narrative and not adding to it like @brightfame52 does which is a no no that comes with a curse attached in revelation 22

not true as I gave you over a dozen passages saying the opposite from Jesus- its their faith that saved them, not the faith Jesus gave them.

next fallacy
Jesus is Saviour and gives Faith and Repentance Acts 5:31

31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

Thats His God given responsibility exalted Saviour
