When Grace is not Grace

Faith is not required from man as a condition for God to save them.
Again,

Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. (John 3:18)

For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.” (Rom 1:7)

since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith. (Rom 3:30)

Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring—not only to those who are of the law but also to those who have the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all. (Rom 4:16)

What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith; but the people of Israel, who pursued the law as the way of righteousness, have not attained their goal. Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone. (Rom 9:30-32)

No one is saved before faith is enacted. All the acts of God effect no change in man without man entrusting his life, exercising faith, in what God has done. God will not act toward us, do anything to change us our state of being before we trust him’

Faith is the act of believing! They are the same thing. Faith is not the result of belief, nor is belief the cause of faith; they are synonymous expressions. The cause of faith is the persuasion of truth by the Holy Spirit, ie, conviction.

The capacity for belief/faith is inherent to our creation, and is is exercised in every day life in a plethora of situations. The essence of faith in a spouse or business partner is essentially the same as our faith in God, for the ultimate question is not if we have faith, but in whom or what we place our faith.

Again wrong,

The Bible is just as clear that salvation is conditional; God does not save everyone. The one condition for salvation is faith in Jesus Christ. Over one hundred times in the New Testament, faith (or belief) is declared to be the sole condition for salvation (e.g., John 1:12; Acts 16:31).

Now... John 1:12 Nasb95 + Strong's is clear when it states

12But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, [even] to those who believe in His name,

PAY ATTENTION.... these people were given the right to become children of God.... Who were... those who believed His name.
Believe first then it happens.

Salvation By Faith: Is Faith Really a Condition of Salvation?

SALVATION IS SOLELY THE ACT OF GOD

MAN (NOT GOD) MUST REALLY BELIEVE TO BE SAVED

Why? Because I also believe, in accordance with what I am convinced is taught in Scripture, that God requires that a lost human being believe in Jesus Christ as a condition of salvation (John 3:14–18; 6:33–40; 20:24–31)
How does one get faith?
Because faith is based solely on God’s promises, only one source exists for biblical faith—God’s Word. Romans 10:17 says, “So faith comes from hearing , and hearing by the word of Christ” (Rom. 10:17, emphasis added). God’s Word reveals His will. It is only when we know God’s will that we can believe it.

So, if you want to have faith, you must hear (or read) God’s promises. Faith does not come by praying for it, fasting for it, or having someone lay hands on you to bestow it. It only comes from hearing God’s Word. And once you hear it, you still must make a decision to believe it.

Beyond the acquiring of faith, our faith can also grow stronger. The Bible mentions various levels of faith—from little faith to mountain-moving faith. Faith grows stronger as it is fed and exercised, just like a human muscle. We should continue to feed our faith by meditating on God’s Word.

The Source of Faith

A Bible passage which explains the source of one’s faith is Romans 10:17: “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” We must understand that hearing alone does not bring salvation, but faith in the message heard does… Salvation comes when the message of the gospel is preached, believed, and then confessed by men. That message must come from the Word of God [the Bible]. (LIBERTY BIBLE COMMENTARY, Vol. 2, p. 387)

Another passage that relates to the subject of faith is Hebrews 1:11: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. In this passage we learn that faith would be regarded as the foundation upon which hope is built…” Faith has the connotation of assurance (see Hebrews 3:14; 2 Corinthians 9:4; 11:17) … Faith might be looked upon as the guarantee … the “title deed” of things hoped for … Faith carries the central idea of something that underlies visible conditions and guarantees a future possession. (LIBERTY BIBLE COMMENTARY, Vol. 2, p. 704)

Do you need more?

Faith, faith and more faith.

Our faith in God is a complete trust or confidence in Him That trust or confidence we have in Him is built up over time as he proves himself faithful time and time again.

Some of us don’t “see” how faith in Christ makes us righteous before God. We can’t “see” Jesus atoning for our sins. We can’t “see” or “perceive” any of the great truths of Christianity, and, therefore, we struggle with our lack of faith.

That's where the false idea that God gives us our initial faith after we believe in Him comes from.

23 Jesus said to him, “If[a] you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”
Mark 9:23-24

Faith is not required from man as a condition for God to save them. Faith is given in Salvation by Grace.

Any condition a man must meet in order to be saved would require a work of man’s, which would automatically nullify, or cancel out, grace: "...if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace, But if it be of works, then is it no more grace..." (Rom. 11:6). Grace does not work hand in hand with works, but independently of them

nope thats a fallacy- Jesus demanded obedience to be His disciple. Faith and obedience are two sides of the same coin in salvation. No repentance of sin no salvation. Repentance implies obedience. You have a false gospel. You do not understand faith, grace and good works as per Paul in Ephesians 2:8-10.

Jesus gives faith to a sinner He saves.
If Jesus saves someone, why do they need faith?

Faith and Salvation in the New Testament

When it comes to the relationship between faith and salvation in the New Testament, there are several key points to consider.

Firstly, faith plays a crucial role in the process of salvation, as it's through faith that we're justified and reconciled with God. (Simply put, to justify is to declare righteous. Justification is an act of God whereby He pronounces a sinner to be righteous because of that sinner’s faith in Christ. According to one theologian, “the root idea in justification is the declaration of God, the righteous judge, that the man who believes in Christ, sinful though he may be, is righteous—is viewed as being righteous, because in Christ he has come into a righteous relationship with God”)

Secondly, the New Testament emphasizes that salvation isn't attained through works or human efforts, but rather through faith in Jesus Christ.

Role of Faith

In the New Testament, faith's role in salvation is crucial, as it's the key to receiving God's grace and eternal life. The concept of faith is woven throughout the teachings of Jesus and the apostles, emphasizing its importance in the life of a believer. Here are two key aspects highlighting the role of faith and its benefits:

  1. Justification by Faith:
  • Through faith in Jesus Christ, believers are justified before God.
  • This means that they're declared righteous, not by their own works or merits, but by putting their trust in Jesus and accepting His sacrifice on the cross.
  • Faith is the means by which we receive God's forgiveness and salvation.
  • It isn't based on our own efforts, but on God's grace and mercy.
  1. Access to God's Promises:
  • Faith opens the door to experiencing the promises of God.
  • Through faith, believers have access to His love, peace, joy, and guidance.
  • It's by faith that we can approach God with confidence, knowing that He hears our prayers and will respond according to His will.
Faith plays a vital role in our relationship with God, granting us salvation and access to His abundant blessings. By placing our trust in Him, we can experience the transformative power of faith in our lives.

Saved Through Faith?

Faith plays a crucial role in salvation, as it's through faith in Jesus Christ that believers are saved and receive eternal life. This concept is emphasized throughout the New Testament, particularly in the writings of the apostle Paul. Paul teaches that salvation is a gift from God, received by faith alone, apart from any works or efforts on our part. He argues that no one can be justified before God by performing good works or observing the law, but rather, salvation comes through faith in Christ alone.

( How is it possible that so many people cannot grasp the beautiful sim, plicity of God's plan
from the beginning of time?)

However, this doesn't mean that faith is divorced from works. In fact, true faith inevitably produces good works as a result. James, the brother of Jesus, emphasizes the importance of faith and works, stating that faith without works is dead.
While faith is the means by which we're saved, it's evident in our actions and deeds.

Ya dont wanna do any good actions or deeds. Most people dont. That is why they will walk past someone laying in the street needing obvious help... Say what? You gonna grab your cell and dial 911? Careful there... THAT IS A WORK

Doubt is an inevitable part of the Christian journey, but even in the face of doubt, faith remains the key to salvation. We see this in the story of Thomas, who doubted the resurrection of Jesus until he physically saw and touched him. Jesus responded to Thomas by saying, 'Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who haven't seen and yet have believed.' This shows that even in moments of doubt, faith is still the pathway to salvation.

Salvation is after faith.
