The Holy Spirit

(smile), since you cannot understand what 101G said, and since you said, you know, please tell us then....... YIKES!

101G.
The Son of Man, Jesus the human, is the exact same person as the Son of God. This is the praised answer as revealed by the Father. Understand why humans are calls sons (and daughters) of God now? It doesn't refer to deity, at all, even slightly.

Matthew 16 (NIV)
13When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?”

14They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”

15“But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”

16Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

17Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.

I laugh when people say God humbled Himself.
I firmly believe God can have a sense of humor, too, and I am inclined to believe that most people who say God was lower than angels or humbled Himself are doing so innocently. God knows who the real mockers and the innocently deceived are. He will deal with all accordingly in the end.

My question is... after receiving so much light, so much truth, how do people justify staying in ignorance? I believe a line can be crossed. A point comes in which there isn't an excuse anymore. Jesus had mercy on them by speaking in parables... the spiritually gifted were those receptive to the spiritual truths and could receive the truth, but the bulk majority of them simply couldn't understand the plains truths spoke in parables and therefore had no pearls to trample.

I like Jesus can only go so far on these sites for the same reason. Jesus was talking to people without spirit so he had to reason with them from the Scriptures according to what they could understand walking in what Romans 8 calls their flesh. The folks on here who have spirit are so confused that they don't know which end is up. Some think it's God, others think it's what Jesus was, others think it's their spirit, but have no idea how to walk in it because the Catholics taught them they are sinners saved by grace and so they can only see themselves.

Mark 16:15-16. And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

John 20:22.
And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost.

The Church must be filled with the Holy Ghost or it will be a human machine geared to and susceptible of mere human impulses. Instead of being actuated by divine impulses imparted through the Spirit, it will be actuated by a thousand and one impulses born of man. Instead of keeping to the high and noble calling of winning a world to allegiance to the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior, it will expend its energies in some program of mere human betterment. Good and laudable as these programs for human betterment are they are cast into the shade by the far more important program of God to save a lost world. Indeed, those who keep clear the vision of God may also participate in the social, economic, and educational programs that are needed today. But a danger exists when these urgent calls to rectify the maladjustments of our political, economic, social, and educational systems cause us to lose that vision of things that Jesus gave to his early apostles.

The church of today must become more sensitive to the impulses of the Holy Spirit. He, himself, as the Comforter, desires a body of people so highly susceptible to divine impulses that the heart throb of God will be quickly communicated to them and they then put forth every effort to effectuate the divine will.

The ears of the church must be more clear to hear the voice of God calling them to his holy service. The Shepherd of the sheep wants to be sure that the sheep hear him when he speaks, for there are a thousand clamorous voices demanding our attention. The eyes of the heart must be more keen to see spiritual and eternal values and comprehend more clearly the path along which the church should walk.

Yeah... how do we get them there?

God The Holy Spirit will guide you. Only God the Holy Spirit knows what is fully good and right for you on a daily basis. The Spirit of truth is like an inner compass in our lives—always pointing us toward what Jesus would be, say, or do in any given moment or circumstance.

God desires to make His will known to us. He wants us to know what to do and when to do it. Trust the Holy Spirit to be your Daily Guide.

Only God the Spirit can give birth to spirit in a man or woman. For, as John 1:13 says, people are not physically born into God’s family; rather, they “were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” The only thing that can transform a person and enable him to please and glorify God is a change wrought by God the Holy Spirit.

I have people on these sites everyday telling me the spirit is guiding them. And then they tell me the trinity is from God because the spirit told them so.

Gen 1:26 God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth.

Gen 3:22 And the Lord God said, Behold, the man has become like one of Us [the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit], to know [how to distinguish between] good and evil and blessing and calamity; and now, lest he put forth his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever—

The Holy Spirit is one of three persons who make up what is commonly referred to as the Trinity. The Trinity is made up of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is “the Helper” Jesus said He would send after His departure from earth. The Holy Spirit came upon the apostles in Acts 2, and indwells all believers. And it was the Holy Spirit who spoke God’s Word through holy men of God.

You say we should be in communication with the spirit of God and yet you too are not hearing from the spirit of God if you think there's a trinity.

The truth of the existence of the Trinity has emerged as a touchstone of truth, a non-negotiable article of Christian orthodoxy. Learn how to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit by studying the Bible patterns of Jesus.
People often rely upon “the leading of the Holy Spirit,” which is spoken of in Romans 8:14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

In context, the passage speaks of the Spirit’s leading us away from sinful activity and into a confidence in our relationship with God as Father. The Holy Spirit will never lead contrary to Scripture.

If there were no Trinity there would be no Holy Spirit. But when we confess our faith in the Trinity, we affirm that God is one in essence and three in person.

The Holy Spirit leaves no footprints in the sand. Jesus did leave footprints in the sand. He was God incarnate, God with a human nature.

The Third Person of the Holy Trinity is different. He is intangible and invisible. But His work is more powerful than the most ferocious wind. The Spirit brings order out of chaos and beauty out of ugliness. He can transform a sin-blistered man into a paragon of virtue. The Spirit Changes people.

According to the Bible, the Holy Spirit was also involved in creation.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. Genesis 1:1-2

The third person of the Trinity is named the Holy Spirit. We wonder why the title Holy is ascribed in a special way to Him. The attribute of holiness belongs to the Father and to the Son as well. Yet we normally do not speak of the Trinity in terms of the Holy Father, the Holy Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Though the Spirit is no more and no less holy than the Father and the Son, the Holy in His name calls attention to the focal point of His work in the economy (plan) of redemption. The Holy Spirit is the Sanctifier. He is the One who applies the work of Christ to our lives by working in us to bring us to full conformity and the image of Christ.

In salvation we are not only saved from sin and damnation; we are saved unto holiness. The goal of redemption is holiness.

I laugh when people say God humbled Himself.
Then you laugh at scripture

Philippians 2:5–8 (KJV 1900) — 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

So should we.

1 Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, so ...

Cast Your Cares on Him 5 Young men, in the same way, submit yourselves to your elders. And all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, "God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble." 6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, so that in due time.

Be imitators of God in everything you do, for then you will represent your Father as his beloved sons and daughters. And continue to walk surrendered to the extravagant love of Christ, for he surrendered his life as a sacrifice for us. Ephesians 5:1-2

Change—The Most Visible Evidence

Then the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you mightily, and you will show yourself to be a prophet with them; and you will be turned into another man.
1 SAMUEL 10:6

The most important evidences that the Holy Spirit has filled your life are a change of character and the development of the fruit of the Holy Spirit described in Galatians 5:22–23 (patience, kindness, self-control, etc.).

God baptizes people in the Holy Spirit to enable them to live boldly for Him. And when you walk in the power of His Spirit, there will be the right evidence of Holy Spirit baptism. Speaking in tongues was one of the evidences of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, but the most important evidence was then, and always will be, changed men and women.

At the trial of Jesus, Peter denied Christ three times for fear of the Jews (see Luke 22:56–62), but after being filled with the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost, he stood and preached an extremely bold message. The result of Peter’s preaching that day was 3,000 souls added to the kingdom of God (see Acts 2:14–41). The baptism in the Holy Spirit changed Peter; it turned him into another man. His fear suddenly disappeared, and he became bold.

As a matter of fact, it was not just Peter who took a bold stand that day. All of the remaining apostles did the same. They had all been hiding behind closed doors for fear of the Jews when Jesus came to them after His resurrection (see John 20:19–22). Suddenly, after being filled with the Holy Spirit, they all became fearless and bold.

The world is full of people who live with the torment of fear daily. Sadly, most of them don’t even realize there is help available to them through the infilling of the Holy Spirit. The baptism in the Holy Spirit changed Saul; it changed Peter and the disciples; it changed me, and it continues to change earnest seekers the world over.

Trust in Him If you have a desire to live for God and want to glorify Him, let your life be the evidence. Trust the Holy Spirit within you to change you into a fearless and bold follower of Christ.
