John 6 the context

Only in your imagination

John 12:47 (KJV 1900) — 47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

There is no way to make world = elect or the church here

World there is the church, same world in Jn 3:16-17

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

see that ? That world is saved through Him, its a done deal

Then you not paying to much attention
You're correct I don't pay much attention at this stage in the game to any Calvinist teachings. They had my full attention for many years but since I no longer trust or believe in the teaching of John Calvin I'm not really that interested.

The mental gymnastics that one has to do with their minds to accept what you're saying is just stunning. . If God just meant he only loves people he chose to be Christians or what you call the elect then why didn't he just clearly state, For God so loved the church instead of saying God so loved the world? He could have used the word church (ekklesia) here and it would have settled the issue for ever without any question. He did not say God so loved the church however he said God so loved the world! To readers this is one of those things where one wonders how Calvinsits can keep a straight face saying what they do. . I could be wrong but I think many of them know how they're twisting the verse of Jn 3:16 to accommodate their beliefs is ridiculous.

lol it’s crazy how someone can trust it yo mean elect or church when no verse makes such a claim and no lexicon of dictionary has it as a definition or a synonym.

Pure and utter nonsense and blindness. A horrible way of understanding the Bible and nothing but eisegesis. Reading one’s doctrines into the Bible to make it say something different.

Im sorry, but the Gospel is Calvinism, TULIP
Anyone would have to be sorry if they believed Calvinism was the gospel. The Calvinistic gospel goes like this...Out of everyone He has created, Calvinists say He selected some to be saved, and then by default, selected some not to be saved. It was an unconditional election. Nothing he foresaw in them, like faith in Jesus, that caused him to select them. It was unconditional, just by “God’s good pleasure”.

If Calvinists would think about this, they’d have to agree that people are saved not by grace, but they’re saved by chance. A flip of the coin. There’s nothing that God saw in anybody that caused him to select them. He just selected them. It’s random. It’s not an election at all.
