The Hypostatic Union- the 2 Natures in Christ

The Holy Spirit was referenced as being gifted o the disciples because the Spirit of God was confined in this life to Jesus Christ during His earthly ministry after He was baptized.

Mark your own words...
Right there is where its right before your eyes and you keep failing to see.

If Jesus functioned as God?
.. and not as man, as it says Philippians 2:6-8, says he made himself to be?

Then, being God? Why even need the Holy Spirit? ... that makes no sense.

I am not your enemy. I am being an enemy to your enemy whom you see as your friend.

grace and peace ...........

So you're not ignoring me anymore? Don't get me wrong, I'm glad you're not.

His words speak for themselves..... Here... read them again.

I even fellowshipped a Catholic Priest, who when shown, was able to think with the Word of God....

................ where does that leave you?

This is crazy.... You're the one that referenced Psalm 131 as God being EVERYWHERE. Omnipresent.... YOU said.

There is a difference between being separated from God, and not being separated from His presence.

God must even be present in the Lake of Fire.

For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible,
whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through
him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together." Colossians 1:16-17

The Lake of Fire could not exist unless He was there! Holding it together!

in the Name of the Lord Jesus, you're welcome, and thanks for the question.

true but listen to the definition again, intrinsic: "belonging naturally; essential:" now scripture, Isaiah 63:5 "And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me."

dose not one's ... "OWN ARM" ..... belong to that ONE PERSON .... Naturally? yes. that NATURE of God's OWN ARM is an EQUALLY SHARED "belonging ARM of God. again, this is why he said in FLESH.... "My Father", and in Spirit, "My Son". belonging is an interest of belonging. this is too easy.

101G.

There is a reason we reference a "paradox" in the Trinity.

CoEqual, CoEternal, CoPowerful.... etc.

Isa 63:5 is a statement of unity. Just like when Jesus said....

Joh 10:30 I and my Father are one.

There is no difference relative to how David expressed the connection He had with God.

Psa 139:10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.

God must even be present in the Lake of Fire.

Geesh.....By your "measure"......

I suppose God is in the semen of the predator/pedophile that rapes a child so young that the experience ends their life?

You have a very poor sense how you apply "in him all things hold together".

Vulgar as you stooped to to desperately try to make a point finally stick...

You're spiritually brain dead if you think not all things he holds together, when it says all things He does hold together...

Even your toilet paper...

"He is before all things, and in him all things hold together."

Colossians 1:17

You can't figure it out at all......

Yet, you want to keep trying to contain me with sloppy thinking.

Before you can learn from God? You need to be taught a big lesson.
But He gives greater grace. Therefore He says:
“God resists (makes war against) the proud,
But gives grace to the humble.”
Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.."
James 4:6-7

Someone needs to flee from you......
Someone who adores your stubborn pride.

Its why you keep consistently misreading the Word of God.

I tell the truth when I have it.... no money asked.

I didn't say anything vulgar. I know that what I described happens. What about abortion? Have you ever described an abortion? What's difference????.

You have one set of standards for yourself and another standard for everyone else.

You're the one that compared Psalm 139 to God being in Hell via Omnipresence. Then you "doubled down" in Omnipresence attributes in the Incarnation. (Not that you realize it. You're just making things up as you go)

I'll give you advice. Pay attention to what you reference.

Col 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
Col 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Col 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
Col 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
Col 1:19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
Col 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

You're limiting these referenced to the humanity of Jesus Christ. You're saying that Jesus Christ abandoned His Divinity....

Yet, you're ignoring this now by claim Jesus Christ is Omnipresent......

See how inconsistent you are?

Then why did Jesus receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit right before John the Baptist's eyes?

If he was functioning as God? And, not a man? Why did he need God the Spirit to lead him into the wilderness to be tempted?

"Then Jesus was led up into the wilderness by the Spirit to be tempted by the devil." Matthew 4:1

And, look at all the translations that agree and translate it .... "to be tempted."

grace and peace .............
I’ll address this after work as you argue like a unitarian which I’ve been debating for over 4 decades. Same objections

Right... and that's why you used it as an example...

Come on....

Are you bored unless you can make a nuisance of yourself?

Well, at least you got something you can take pride in yourself for having a special gift..

Too bad it has to be destructive.

Stop the bickering and discuss the topic not the poster.

There you go.,.,...

The Exit door is down the hall and to your left... Far left!

Good bye!
.....

Come back after the challenge you just could not deal with has been forgotten.

One more warning and it will be good bye. Stop discussing the poster and start discussing the topic.

And you are gaslighting.
You do not even know what that means....

But, its a 'buzz word' to try to use today when one can not get his way when he is wrong.

"For whoever wants to save their life will lose it,
but whoever loses their life for me will find it."

Matthew 16:25

Try reading what I say with some understanding. I said this is what your buddy @GeneZ said, see the QUOTATIONS ???? Its what I disagree with and said was UNBIBLICAL. Here it is again what @GeneZ said below in the QUOTES

@GeneZ said below, not me.
" For the Church age believers? Not the OT believers. We receive an additional gift when born again. That new gift is the Indwelling Holy Spirit which is not to be confused for our human spirit that all receive at regeneration. "
So I'm suppose to work out, because you say something and put it in quotes, it was someone else who said it not you, even though you made no reference it was @GeneZ who you were quoting.

Strewth!
:ROFLMAO:

When he emptied himself of all His right to the powers that are God?

What was left? His human Soul.

The seed of the Father you speak of is not mentioned in Scripture. It does sound good... But it is not Scripture.

What we have is the "seed of the Holy Spirit."
Jesus said to Nicodemus that what is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Our human spirit is what the Spirit "begets" in us. That being... our 'human spirit.'

Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit." John 3:6

At regeneration the born again believer becomes body, soul, and human spirit."
The human spirit is not to be mistaken for the indwelling Holy spirit.
For we have become body, soul, and human spirit.

May the God who gives us peace make you holy in every way and
keep your whole being—spirit, soul, and body—free from every fault
at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Thes 5:23

For the Church age believers? Not the OT believers. We receive an additional gift when born again.
That new gift is the Indwelling Holy Spirit which is not to be confused for our human spirit that all receive at regeneration.

The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children." Romans 8:16
grace and peace......
Can you read the above from gene @sawdust

Here see his original post I quoted from above @sawdust , gene said this nonsense not me and I was quoting him. Like I said I know exactly and precisely what I say, write and believe when it comes to doctrine. I have an excellent memory with what I believe and teach abut the bible.

hope this helps !!!
So you believe the Holy Spirit gives birth to Himself?

So @sawdust inadvertantly fired a silo missile at @GeneZ who now has to answer for a belief that nobody believes, not even his fellow comrades. Let's see if GeneZ will once again run for cover.
If @civic had used the quote function it wouldn't have looked liked he was quoting himself. And @GeneZ was correct in what he said. The Spirit gives birth to a human spirit just as flesh gives birth to flesh.

There is only one begotten Son, we are all adopted. :)
