How Christ’s death secures the salvation of those who believe.

@Don Miller

Who said anything about that ? Jesus died exclusively for His Sheep Jn 10
limited atonement is false. Jesus died for sinners.

Unlimited atonement, on the other hand, says that Jesus died for everyone but that only those who respond in faith will reap the benefits of His sacrifice. In other words, Jesus’ death was sufficient for all, but only effectual for some (those who have faith). If Jesus did not die for everyone, the reasoning goes, then the offer of salvation is empty, because the non-elect cannot be saved.

John 3:16–19
For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.
17 For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.
18 He who believes in Him [who clings to, trusts in, relies on Him] is not judged [he who trusts in Him never comes up for judgment; for him there is no rejection, no condemnation—he incurs no damnation]; but he who does not believe (cleave to, rely on, trust in Him) is judged already [he has already been convicted and has already received his sentence] because he has not believed in and trusted in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [He is condemned for refusing to let his trust rest in Christ’s name.]
19 The [basis of the] judgment (indictment, the test by which men are judged, the ground for the sentence) lies in this: the Light has come into the world, and people have loved the darkness rather than and more than the Light, for their works (deeds) were evil.

His death is limited to them that become believers, from all nations. If one doesn't be converted and become a believer/follower of Christ, He didnt shed a drop of blood for them

The message of the gospel, focused on Christ's death and resurrection, is one that "calls" to all people.

Unfortunately, not all will respond.
Hi Don!

It is a privilege to interact with you for the first time.
I am Mexican, married, my background is Medicine, and I practice the Baha'i Faith.

If you allow me to do it, I would like to hear from you about the term "Unfortunately", that you have written in your post.

In what sense the fact that not all will respond is "unfortunate"?
Does it bring you some sadness?

Jesus death secured these things for the people He loved and gave Himself for Eph 5:25-27

25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

So #1 He secured for them all Sanctification and cleansing with the washing of water by the word ! These are spiritual blessings

Sanctify here means:

to purify by expiation, free from the guilt of sin, to set apart
Cleanse means:

to free from the guilt of sin, to purify

Jesus death secured unto them He died for, that they will be made a New Creation. Eph 2:1-10

And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved)

6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works,
And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

His Death accomplished taking spiritually dead in sin sinners, and causing them to be Gods workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Isa 43:7

Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

This was done by the Person and Work f the Lord Jesus Christ alone !

In Calvinism God only loves the elect. But the truth is... Does God love everyone? Yes, He shows mercy and kindness to all.
Yes John 3:16-18, 1 John 2:2- He died for everyone. And those who believe the gospel have the atonement for their sins applied to them on Jesus behalf. He provided salvation for anyone and everyone who believes. Those who remain in unbelief do not receive the benefits of His Atonement for their sins and do ot receive salvation/eternal life from Him.

Thank you, my friend.

I would like to hear it from a Calvinist.
So let me insist in asking our brother @brightfame52 the question again.

How does God show his love to non-believers?

I will await patiently.
Perhaps @brightfame52 has been too busy. Perhaps he is too afraid. Perhaps he doesn't really believe in his own theological statements (that's what I speculate to be the most likely cause of his silence).

God in that verse Loves the elect, and tells them to love other elect, their brothers and sisters
Wrong again. Your bating 1000

neighbor not elect

Jesus calls us to a life that values others, serves others, and loves others. Not only does he call us to live this way, he modeled it for us.

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:38-40
