Free-willer Straw Man Argument

Which again are those who loved God and were called

Sigh.

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Comforting statement for those called according to His purpose. ^^

29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

Explanation of how God got to whom He called according to His purpose. ^^

His purpose is to obtain a people for himself. What better way to start than with those who love God

There is nothing in the passage which supports unconditional election

and it is related to

Romans 8:28–29 (ESV) — 28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. 29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

those who loved God
Related? It does not say love is the reason they were called. His purpose is the reason they were called.

Again the passage concerns those who loved God

it is not unconditional and is not a refereGce to god preselecting unconditionally chosen totally depraved men and converting them

His purpose is the reason they were called. Not because they loved Him.

No one said it's about those things. You do stick to the script, your rehearsed lines, I will give you that.

Wrong. Those who loved God are those who were called according to His purpose. It does not say love is tge REASON they were called.
Sorry you are reading your theology into the passage

Romans 8:28 (ESV) — 28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

The verse simply does not state God called unconditionally chosen men and made them love him

Qoute me referencing Romans 8 I relation to from the foundation of the world. A different thread perhaps?
Ok

Exactly. They have a problem. They will scream foreknowledge is not determination yet the choice is made from the beginning or from the foundation of the world. So it's not based on your choice 6000 years later.
do you have other verses which speak of God foreknowing someone

Sigh.

Um those who loved god

Those in the past serve as an example for current believers in Rom 8:28

All Israelites were called previously, today all men are called by the gospel

Sorry, that's exactly what the verse says. They are called according to His purpose, not because the loved God.

No one said it did. Rabbit trail attempt duly noted. The point is love is not the reason they are called. It's His purpose why they are called.

Sorry but there is nothing mentioned about unconditionally

I agree with you what it does say, however, is that they are called according to His purpose, not because they loved Him.

So. Another rabbit trail?

Sure. 2 Thessalonians 2:13. Is the "you" someone'?

So I guess I did not reference Romans 8 in relation to before the foundation of the world then?
Um nothing there mentioning foreknowledge or before the foundation of the world

2 Thessalonians 2:13 (UASV) — 13 But we ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers beloved by the Lord, because God chose you as the firstfruits for salvation, through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth.
