An Article on free will

Oh. There is that "forever" thing again.

So if it is about a patch of land in the middle east right now.... A patch of land that will not last forever.....

Then why are you making such silly arguments as this?
gen 17:
3 Then Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying: 4 As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations. 5 No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations. 6 I will make you exceedingly fruitful; and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come from you. 7 And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you. 8 Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.”

Yep that pesky word. which keeps coming back to haunt you

Because I am discussing Romans 11. Gods promise to this nation. And OT prophets which fortell what will happen.

You see I see it this way, if God does not keep his promise to them,. I have no assurance he will keep his promise to me.

Your theology is your theology. That theology prefers Jews. You are what you believe......
My theology says God keeps his promises

He made a promise to the jews. and said he would always keep it

He also made a promise to jew and gentile alike concerning eternity in heaven.

if he will not keep his promise concerning land. I have no assurance he will keep his promise concerning heaven

You see. thats where replacement theology fails.
So lying that you don't prefer Jews doesn't change anything. Your teachings show that you do. I'll be glad to help you with understanding this in the video debate. Don't be a coward. Be a roaring lion.
Do you believe in eternal security?

So why are you seeing "eternal things" in temporal things that will burn up? I'm not the one saying those promises exist in temporal land.

So be honest and deal with that aspect of what I said. Deal with the fact that Peter said it was going to be burned up and completely pass away.

I don't expect you to do this. It is just one of things you will ignore and claim victory.....

My theology says God keeps his promises

He made a promise to the jews. and said he would always keep it

He also made a promise to jew and gentile alike concerning eternity in heaven.

Do you believe in eternal security?

It is amazing to me how you're missing the obvious. You are missing the obvious in the fact that you're claiming God gave it Jews as an everlasting inheritance. Yet, that land is going away.....

So keep insisting that you're right when reason says you're wrong.

I will see that promises for what it is. Fulfilled in Jesus Christ alone in the Eternal Jerusalem/etc.

You have no treasures here. Remember what Jesus said...... Do you really believe Jesus?????

Mat 6:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

Did Jesus say these words to Jews? Did your land get stolen from you? Did their land get stolen from you?

I mean Geesh. There is a reason I say what I say. I prefer Jesus over theology. My theology starts and ends with Him. I give Him the glory due Him.

You.... not so much.

You really want to pump yourself up don't you.....

You know how debates work right?
Yeah

1 person tells what they believe. and try's to explain why the other is wrong

and then the other takes a turn

the problem is they have to know what each other believe.

You have proven you do not know what I believe. so debate is not possible

You can not prove me wrong when you do not even know what or why I believe the way i do

Yes that is works salvation, you added the works of the flesh in salvation by grace, your unregenerate faith
You seem to suggest that God doesn't speak so that the unregenerate can understand. You would have God issue the 600+ laws in the OT and then preclude most from even understanding them. That doesn't seem to me to say much for your view of God.

It is amazing to me how you're missing the obvious. You are missing the obvious in the fact that you're claiming God gave it Jews as an everlasting inheritance. Yet, that land is going away.....
But the land is still here. so the obvious is that it must still belong to them.. Or God just stopped his promise.
So keep insisting that you're right when reason says you're wrong.
Take your own advise
I will see that promises for what it is. Fulfilled in Jesus Christ alone in the Eternal Jerusalem/etc.
No yuo don;t because you think God no longer will keep his promise to israel.
You have no treasures here. Remember what Jesus said...... Do you really believe Jesus?????
I never claimed I did.

But if God promised me something, I would expect him (or anyone) to keep it.. why don;t you?

Mat 6:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

lol.. you still lose..

But the land is still here. so the obvious is that it must still belong to them.. Or God just stopped his promise.

Again. You miss the obvious. The promises was an ETERNAL possession. That why Abraham didn't accept Salem as the city he was looking for.

Get it now?

You're reference a promises that is eternal. You can't say it is temporally fulfilled.

No yuo don;t because you think God no longer will keep his promise to israel.

No. The promise is true. That promises is in things Eternal. You're the one making false claims. Jesus is King of that Eternal possession.

I never claimed I did.

But if God promised me something, I would expect him (or anyone) to keep it.. why don;t you?

lol.. you still lose..

Keep laughing. You' don't believe Jesus because you're laying up your treasures on earth. That what the Jews were doing when Jesus was here. They could not see the Eternal promise right before their eyes.

Why do you dishonor Jesus Christ?

Yeah

1 person tells what they believe. and try's to explain why the other is wrong

and then the other takes a turn

the problem is they have to know what each other believe.

You have proven you do not know what I believe. so debate is not possible

You can not prove me wrong when you do not even know what or why I believe the way i do

No. You don't know that debates doesn't include claims that are equally true to either side.

It is called "muddying the waters"

But the land is still here. so the obvious is that it must still belong to them.. Or God just stopped his promise.

Take your own advise

No yuo don;t because you think God no longer will keep his promise to israel.

Do you want to do the video? If so, we can a review and I continue to show you where you're wrong. You need to learn something from the Scriptures instead of endlessly repeating what you've heard.

You seem to suggest that God doesn't speak so that the unregenerate can understand. You would have God issue the 600+ laws in the OT and then preclude most from even understanding them. That doesn't seem to me to say much for your view of God.
Im saying only what you said, that your flesh/faith contributed to salvation by grace, tht makes your salvation by works, a flat out denial of grace. You also make God a liar saying faith in salvation is of yourself, when Gods word says as plain as day, that "salvation by grace through faith" is not of ourselves, but the gift of God.

Again. You miss the obvious. The promises was an ETERNAL possession. That why Abraham didn't accept Salem as the city he was looking for.
No this is not true. again this shows you did not study the OT

Abraham was dead before Israel recieved the land..

But even then, As with all promises of God. I enjoy all of them, but the most important is heaven
Get it now?

You're reference a promises that is eternal. You can't say it is temporally fulfilled.
God said it would be theirs forever. (as long as the land exists)

You say it can't be, I believe it will be made new. in a heavenly sense so it will still be theirs.

I trust God..

get the picture?
No. The promise is true. That promises is in things Eternal. You're the one making false claims. Jesus is King of that Eternal possession.
I am not making any false claims. eternal life is eternal. everyone who believes his this, whether jew or gentile. free or slave, male or female.

And the land Given to Abraham Isaac and Jacob as God promised. is theirs forever.

its WHY he kept a remnant, He still has a job for them to do.. and they will do it. because they will repent.

Again, You should be praising God for this. But your hatred of Israel won't let you

Keep laughing. You' don't believe Jesus because you're laying up your treasures on earth. That what the Jews were doing when Jesus was here. They could see the Eternal promise right before their eyes.
I will keep laughing because you don't have understand Gods promise (not promises, this one promise to Israel) and you keep repeating the same nonsense, than act as if you won.

Why do you dishonor Jesus Christ?
You dishonor jesus by saying he will not keep his promise

do you realise the burning bush was jesus himself. the great I AM?

No this is not true. again this shows you did not study the OT

Abraham was dead before Israel recieved the land.

Abraham gave 10 percent of the spoils to a priest in Salem. You quoted verses that said that the possession was forever. You must believe that land will be given and then taken away???????????????????

Post the verses again. Why are you abandoning what the Scriptures said?

do you realise the burning bush was jesus himself. the great I AM?

Do you realize that Jacob wasn't called Israel until after he wrestled with Jesus Christ?

But the land is still here. so the obvious is that it must still belong to them.. Or God just stopped his promise.

Either do the video or not. This is the last time I'm going to respond to you. You're googling.... You don't know this. You're looking for answers that are not your own.

No @brightfame52, I did not say that flesh/faith contributed to salvation by grace. I simply repeated God's own words, "saved by grace through faith". That is not salvation by works, that is, by works of law.

Rom 4:3 For what does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness." 4 Now to the one who works, his wages are not counted as a gift but as his due. 5 And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness,

The words there in verse 5, "one who does not work but believes in him", absolutely rebuts your false idea that believing is work. Abraham's faith, his belief in God, was counted, i.e., accredited, for righteousness. Counted for righteousness means Abraham was declared righteous; he was justified. That is, Abraham was saved. He was saved by grace through his faith.

Paul goes on to say in Rom 4:23, "Now not for his sake only was it written that it was credited to him, but for our sake also, to whom it will be credited, as those who believe in Him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead"

So then, we like Abraham are saved by grace through our faith. Our faith is not work, any more than was Abraham's. You have been taught badly.

@Jim

No @brightfame52, I did not say that flesh/faith contributed to salvation by grace.

You did, but you dont realize it. You say that by saying the Faith involved in salvation by grace through faith in Eph 2:8 is of yourself. Are you backing out of that now ?

Abraham gave 10 percent of the spoils to a priest in Salem. You quoted verses that said that the possession was forever. You must believe that land will be given and then taken away???????????????????
The land did not belong to Abraham yet.

God told him, He will go to rest with his fathers. his children will be slaves for 400 years because the sin of the amorite is not yet complete

See you prove again, You do not know the story. and you want me to believe you believed as I did?

Never happened
Post the verses again. Why are you abandoning what the Scriptures said?

Do you realize that Jacob wasn't called Israel until after he wrestled with Jesus Christ?
A broken record.

Yawn.
