Do any of you realize why/what Jacob was called Israel?

Because God changed his name, Israel is his 12 sons and their offspring

See.... you either have to believe that all national Israel will be saved given your unbelief in Christ or accept that Jesus Christ is the King of all mankind.

You prefer to teach that Jews are some "chosen" seed. When it is Christ alone that is the chosen seed.

Gen 32:28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

Jacob wrestled with Jesus Christ (theophany) and was called Israel. Israel has a ruling city. It only exists above. It is the city of God. The kingdom that is not of this world.

He is preaching the Gospel to Rome. Which includes Jews and Gentiles.

in 9 - 11 he is arguing against the lie many jews (we are saved because of our heritage. our greatness etc etc)
Paul first responds to these lies.

he then explains how gentiles were always prophesied to come, and not only come, but they would be raised up while unbelieving Israel would be pulled down. But even after this happen. God will not allow Israel to die. he will keep a remnant, Israel will raise again (when they repent)

Israel is of God. Jacob was never called Israel until he wrestled with Jesus Christ.

Are Gentiles not mentioned in Romans 11? They are told to NOT boast against Israel.

In like manner, Jews are not to boast against Gentiles.

Because of faith in Messiah. Those that are of faith in Messiah are Israel from above. They have Eternal promises. There is no Israel without faith.

Rom 9:27 Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved:
Rom 9:28 For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.

That work in Romans 9:28 is the work of God in Christ Jesus. You know this. I wish you would quit repeating these lines your learned from Calvinists and grow up in Christ.

We are what matters in this. Us. We either are fruitful in sharing the Gospel and making disciples of Christ or we are not. That is what makes the difference. Christ has done His work. Now is it up to us.

You expect something for nothing. God wants all of you. ALL of you. Calvin has you now.....

Not true. I don't believe all Gentiles will be saved. I don't believe all Jews will be saved. The remant includes Jews but the same thing that happened to Jews is happening to Gentiles now....
