It's not the only means. It's called in the Bible "the power of God" . Left that part out.

Hope I helped
No matter how you slice it faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of Christ Romans 10:17 - the gospel is the power of God unto salvation. Romans 1:16.

The new birth being born again comes through the message of the gospel. It doesn't come before but after faith.

1 Peter 1:21-24

Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God. 22 Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart. 23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. 24 For,

“All people are like grass,
and all their glory is like the flowers of the field;
the grass withers and the flowers fall,
25 but the word of the Lord endures forever.”
And this is the word that was preached to you.

So Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of Christ !

Ephesians 1:13
“And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit

Romans 10:15- “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”( the GOSPEL ) 16 But not all the Israelites accepted the good news.(the GOSPEL) For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our message?” ( the GOSPEL )17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.(the GOSPEL )

hope this helps !!!

No matter how you slice it, it derives it's power from God. It is God who gives you ears to hear. Eyes to see. Understanding if you will.

Regeneration precedes faith. It is Christ who makes you alive. Those who were dead in trespasses and sins.

Spirit gives birth to Spirit

one becomes alive/born again like Peter and Paul say after they hear the gospel, not before.

when will you believe Gods written word over Calvins doctrine ?

I gave you scriptures telling you that the new birth comes after hearing and believing the gospel.

why would you deny them ?

hope this helps !!!

Flesh does not give birth to Spirit. When are you going to believe scripture?

Neither Paul nor Peter say any such thing.

God gives the new birth making men children of God when they believe

John 1:12 (KJV 1900) — 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Galatians 3:26 (KJV 1900) — 26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

Yes in De Nile. Dodging and diverting again.

I agree. Where we differ is you believe it's universal and not always effectual. I believe saving grace is for the elect and is always achieves its purpose. I think that is where we would part ways.
It is universally effectual in that anyone who hears the gospel is capable of believing. God saves all who believe; in your paradigm, God chooses who will be saved, and must give belief to those that are chosen to effect their salvation. In your view, not everyone is capable of being saved; for God has only elected the few, and has, whether directly or indirectly, eliminated hope from all others outside those elected.

In my view, God is unassailable because salvation is genuinely offered freely to every single individual, and the failure to be saved is not his responsibility! Not so in your position; God is directly responsible for those not saved. He decrees all things, “whatsoever comes to pass”, and we have zero power to stop it.

Yep his position is fatalistic

Nothing about regeneration preceding faith there. As i suspected.

Sure there is the new birth comes after the hearing and believing in the gospel.

You are in De nile once again.

1- you have been born again
2- through the living and enduring word of God
3- this was the word that was preached to you.

so we see the new birth is a result of hearing and believing the preaching of the word of God. the gospel message.

James 1:18
He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we would be a kind of firstfruits of His creation.

1 Peter 1:25
But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

Except the Bible says that nowhere Doug. There is no mention of some universal enabling grace.

Name a person who hopes to be saved but actually has no hope because they have not been chosen? It's a by product of your imagination. No one would believe if God did not grant then belief and repentance. God is not at fault for leaving some where they wish to be.

Every single person except those who never hear?

Except it is not in your theology as your position holds man cannot believe the gospel and as a result you tout a powerless gospel.

Unconditional election determines who will be saved in your theology
