Your Views on The Trinity

In every way Possible. Jesus is a member of the Trinity; thus, He is God. The answer is more detailed in the sense that the Father and the Holy Spirit are also God as well.
if that is true, then 101G has a question for you. "Who laid the foundation of the Earth?". was it the LORD, all caps, the Father, or the Lord, the Son? your answer please. But before you answer, please read this before you answer. Hebrews 1:8 "But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom." Hebrews 1:9 "Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows." Hebrews 1:10 "And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:"

now your answer please.

Sure, several just for starters. Genesis 1:26 "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth." One cannot have a IMAGE without a source. and that source was to come. supportive scripture. Isaiah 46:10 "Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:" in the end God is in Flesh, which MAN is his IMAGE in Flesh.

Isaiah 42:13 "The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies."

AND IN THAT IMAGE TO COME HE IS THE GLORIFIED MAN, OR THE "NEW MAN", called the "Lord", who is called Messiah.
John 13:13 "Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am." the Lord Jesus out of his own mouth said that he is GOD.
AGAIN, out of the Lord Jesus Mouth. John 2:18 "Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?" John 2:19 "Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up." John 2:20 "Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?" John 2:21 "But he spake of the temple of his body." HOLD IT acoording to the Scriptures, did not "GOD" raised up that Body of the Lord Jesus? well let's check the record. Acts 2:32 "This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses." REMEMBER, the apostle Peter was under the influence of the Holy Spirit. so, did Peter LIE by the Holy Spirit when he said, "This Jesus hath God raised up". now please tell us who LIE.... if at all, the Lord Jesus, or the Holy Spirit in Peter? your answer please.

Now did men say that Jesus who is God also say he is a MAN? let's cherck the record. Matthew 8:27 "But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!"

101G just gave you only a small sample of scripture testifying that God is a MAN.... "THAT WAS TO COME IN FLESH, BONE, with BLOOD. now resurrected in GLLORIFIED FLESH, and in this glorified flesh as a man, amalgamated with his OWN Spirit in the ECHAD he has with his OSWNSELF as Ordinal First/Father/Spirit. now, resurrected, the Ordinal Last/Son/Man. who is OVER HIS OWN HOUSE IN "FLESH" as a MAN, meaning the NEW MAN. man this is just too easy not to be understood.

there are many, and 101G say many verses in the OT as well as the NT that declare that God is a man,, BUT NOT A man LIKE YOU AND 101g THAT lie, (SMILE). THAT "man" WAS TO COME IN, "TIME", "PLACE", "ORDER", and "RANK", just as it states in Genesis 1:1.

God is spirit and so when He wanted to make us in His image means He gave us His spirit.

God is spirit and so when He wanted to make us in His image means He gave us His spirit.
ERROR, God is a Spirit that came in Flesh as the ECHAD of himself. his Spirit was already in us from day one, unamalgamated with him, the Spirit of all spirits supportive scripture, Isaiah 42:5 "Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:" and when we die that same spirit returns to the one who gave it. so try again.

@Peterlag.
if the Lord Jesus said, God is ONE PERSON, will you believe him? let's see. Matthew 19:3 "The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?" Matthew 19:4 "And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female," HE? meaning God. out of theLord Jesus mouth, who is God in Flesh..... did the Lord Jesus LIE by saying that God is a "HE?" this separates the truth from the lie. will all believe God, or some man? and God is a Man who do not LIE.

My answer is... The Trinity
if so, then you're dead in a false doctrine and false belief. Listen and learn. Hebrews 1:10 "And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:". so the Lord laid the foundation of the EARTH, well let the bible speak. Zechariah 12:1 "The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him."

well Cyrus the bible does not agree with you. only one person Laid the foundation of the Earth. listen, Isaiah 44:24 "Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;" he was "ALONE", and by himself, which means your trinity do not exist. for only ONE PERSON was present to make all things. and by that your other so called SECOND AND THIRDS PERSONS are not omni present. Uh O, so there is no trinity.

do you want to try again?

What's a creed?
If you are complaining about the relevance of creeds, that is the flexibility you have in making your own decisions whether good or fateful

if you don't know how people cooperate and have confidence they are walking with people of similar minds, there are creeds. Here's a reasonable enough definition: "A definite summary of what is believed; esp., a summary of the articles of Christian faith; a confession of faith for public use; esp., one which is brief and comprehensive."

Here's a rendition of the Apostles' Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth;

And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord;
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried;*
the third day he rose from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic** church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

Read John 1:1-14. The Word was God and became flesh.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:2 He was in the beginning with God.
John 1:3 All things came into being through Him, and without Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being.
John 1:4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
John 1:5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overtake it.
John 1:6 There was a man sent from God; his name was John.
John 1:7 This one came as a witness, to bear witness concerning the Light, so that all might believe through him.
John 1:8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
John 1:9 He was the true Light; He enlightens every man coming into the world.
John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world came into being through Him, and the world did not know Him.
John 1:11 He came to His own, and His own received Him not.
John 1:12 But as many as received Him, He gave to them authority to become the children of God, to those who believe on His name,
John 1:13 who were born, not of bloods, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but were born of God.
John 1:14 And the Word became flesh, and tabernacled among us. And we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and of truth.

John 1:1
Jesus Christ is not a lexical definition of logos. The verse does not say "In the beginning was Jesus." The "Word" is not synonymous with Jesus, or even the "Messiah." The word logos in John 1:1 refers to God's creative self-expression... His reason, purpose and plans, especially as they are brought into action. It refers to God's self-expression or communication of Himself. This has come to pass through His creation and especially the heavens. It has come through the spoken word of the prophets and through Scripture. Most notably it has come into being through His Son. The logos is the expression of God and is His communication of Himself just as a "word" is an outward expression of a person's thoughts. This outward expression of God has now occurred through His Son and thus it's perfectly understandable why Jesus is called the "Word." Jesus is an outward expression of God's reason, wisdom, purpose and plan. For the same reason we call revelation "a word from God" and the Bible "the Word of God."

If we understand that the logos is God's expression... His plan, purpose, reason and wisdom. Then it is clear they were with Him "in the beginning." Scripture says God's wisdom was "from the beginning" and it was common in Hebrew writing to personify a concept such as wisdom. The fact that the logos "became" flesh shows it did not exist that way before. There is no pre-existence for Jesus in this verse other than his figurative "existence" as the plan, purpose or wisdom of God for the salvation of man. The same is true with the "word" in writing. It had no literal pre-existence as a "spirit-book" somehow in eternity past, but came into being as God gave the revelation to people and they wrote it down.

Permit me to introduce you to the Word of God. Do tell us how a "self expression", a "communication", an "outward expression" can ride a horse, have eyes, have a head, wear a crown, wear a garment, etc... This should be interesting.... This is what John actually saw as a vision. If you do not take that into consideration, any remark will be unceremoniously dismissed.

Rev 19:11 And I saw Heaven opened. And behold, a white horse! And He sitting on him was called Faithful and True. And in righteousness He judges and makes war.
Rev 19:12 And His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head many crowns. And He had a name written, one that no one knew except Himself.
Rev 19:13 And He had been clothed in a garment dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.
Rev 19:14 And the armies in Heaven followed Him on white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
Rev 19:15 And out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, so that with it He should strike the nations. And He will shepherd them with a rod of iron. And He treads the winepress of the wine of the anger and of the wrath of Almighty God.
Rev 19:16 And He has on His garment, and on His thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

Are you catholic?
sure. anyone who is a Christian is a catholic. That just means the bunch of followers of Christ. Good observation.

Do you have an argument to make against the well-recognized Trinity doctrine? You have quite a project ahead of you in trying to cover your ground in proposing an alternative to the Trinitarian concept of God.

I know Jesus is not God and that it was the Catholics who invented such a concept having picked it up in part from the Pagans. But it's you I'm not sure if I want to debate since you are already Catholic.

I have already been introduced to the Scriptures some time ago. It seems you are not knowledgeable of the Greek word logos. It is used all through out the Bible having a whole bunch of ways that it's used. Here's how I see John 1:14 that I believe you also quoted a few posts back...

John 1:14
The "Word" is the wisdom, plan or purpose of God and the Word became flesh as Jesus Christ. Thus, Jesus Christ was the Word in the flesh, which is shortened to the Word for ease of speaking. Scripture is also the Word in writing. Everyone agrees that the Word in writing had a beginning. So did the Word in the flesh. In fact, the Greek text of Matthew 1:18 says that very clearly: "Now the beginning of Jesus Christ was in this manner..." The modern Greek texts all read "beginning" in Matthew 1:18. Birth is considered an acceptable translation since the beginning of some things is birth, and so most translations read birth. Nevertheless, the proper understanding of Matthew 1:18 is the beginning of Jesus Christ. In the beginning God had a plan, a purpose, which became flesh when Jesus was conceived.

In the Koine Greek NT, λογος/λογω is for the Pre-Incarnate Word of God Person who took on flesh as Jesus Christ, ρημα/ρηματι is for the spoken word, and λογον is for the written/recorded/memorized/spoken word.

If one is not careful with Koine Greek then he ends up making a total mess of things.
