It does not surprise me that no one answered. I invoked this verse numerou times .... Cricket ... Cricket ... Cricket ...

Our trinitarian friends only consider evidence and arguments in support of theit anti-Biblical doctrine.
NOBODY explains it to me.

I have tried for years now....

I am starting to think that Jesus has a God.

The Son was together with the Father sharing the exact same glory together before creation. John 17:5. The Father/Son is an eternal relationship with no beginning. As a man Jesus had a beginning as a human. The only difference was the miraculous conception with no human father but God the Father.

Okay. Jesus in heaven for decades, stating 4 times in a single verse that he still has a God....

12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

Question: does Jesus have a God right now?
The verses you quoted are perfectly Trinitarian. Jesus has God the Father. He has had God the Father from eternity past and will have God the Father forever.

How does this make "God the Son" with a God?

How do we explain Jesus in heaven saying he has a God 4 times in a single verse?

I don't care if we are trin or oneness.

This needs fixed properly.

The Son is Eternal and in many places said to be the Creator. Only God can create the universe.
That is not an answer, respectfully.

I asked Dr Seagraves about it yesterday also(UPC professor).

Hopefully he will explain it to me.

I doubt it.

Is the Father Eternal ?

The Son is the same. If there was a time when there was no Son then there was a time when there was no Father. God the Father and God the Son are Eternal.

Actually that IS an answer, but respectfully, maybe not the one you wanted to hear. IT REALLY IS THAT SIMPLE - i.e. what Civic said, but non-Trins don't like simple answers.

The only way this verse works is if the son is a human with a God.

Maybe a man with a doctorate will give you a more intellectual and acceptable answer.

Simple question:

Does Jesus have a God as he is now in heaven?

If we say yes, how can this be?

If we say no, we just called him a liar.

Time to vindicate this verse or remove it.

Unlike David, you seem to imply that our bodies are something bad.

Here is how the NT defines your body.

"The body is dead because of sin".

And how do you know that is true?
Its because you are dying, and they are going to bury your body or cremate your body....., but not your spirit, as it will leave your body, the moment your body is dead.

Your Spirit is Born again, not your body.

The Born again Spirit = gets a NEW BODY..

Jesus told you.. ."YOU, must be born again"......and that is not your body. That is your spirit.

Gen 1

"Let US...... make man in ....OUR image".

1 + 1 = 2

That is Father God and the Pre-incarnate Word "who was God", in John 1.

That's the "Word became Flesh"

And, here Here He is as incarnate..

1 Timothy 3:16

John 1:10

Colossians 1:16
