We do have translations older than the KJV .centuries of group think and bullying.
Do not forget
almost half the prophets - murdered.
almost half the apostles - murdered.
stakes are high.
ptolemy ii - a follower of the greek gods , commissioned the septuagint , chose 'which' scribes would write down the words.
spent more on his coronation in gold coin
than today's richest man's worth.
he had a lot of say on the product.

yes, i mentioned septuagint.. that was related to pagan ptolemy ii.We do have translations older than the KJV .
It says Law AND Prophets. The Prophets aren't part of the Mosaic covenant.Simply put, it is the Mosaic Covenant fulfilled by Jesus Christ.
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil., Matthew 5:17.
Here, Jesus declares He came to fulfill the Mosaic Covenant.
I agree with all this, but I would add that the other prophets add more detail. Particularly Ezekiel.Jeremiah prophesies a New Covenant, but he does not describe anything about this covenant other than this:
31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, That I will make a new covenant With the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers In the day that I took them by the hand To bring them out of the land of Egypt; Which my covenant they brake, Although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:
33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, And write it in their hearts; And will be their God, And they shall be my people.
34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: For they shall all know me, From the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: For I will forgive their iniquity, And I will remember their sin no more. Jeremiah 31:31–34.
#1. The New Covenant will not be like or according to the [Mosaic] covenant God made after He took them "by the hand" out of Egypt.
You seem to be trying hard to put a difference between Israel and Gentiles. But the way Jeremiah's New Covenant was accomplished was by taking a bunch of Gentiles and adopting them to become Israelites.#2. The New Covenant will be recognized by the sending of His Spirit (which He Promised to Israel ONLY - Joel 2:28-32), which, if you understand the type and shadow that is the Mosaic Covenant clearly identifies the Law of Moses as type and shadow of the Holy Spirit whom God Promised to put in their (Israel's) inward parts.
#3. The New Covenant declares the Israel will be God's people, and God will be the God of Israel. There is no mention of Gentiles in this covenant.)
Au Contraire, Mr. Wick Stick. The prophets operated (prophesied) while being part of the Mosaic Covenant, which covenant was superseded by the New Covenant when the Holy Spirit of Promise PROMISED TO ISRAEL began with the Holy Spirit's advent in Acts 2.It says Law AND Prophets. The Prophets aren't part of the Mosaic covenant.
Correct-o-mundo. By fulfilling the Law of Moses, specifically the Ceremonial Law aspect of the Mosaic Covenant, and in having the Law nailed to His cross means that Jesus is the "end of the Law for righteousness" and since the Law was type and shadow of the Holy Spirit, what was once used as guidance written on stone for the children of Israel to follow and obey, the Law God promised to "put in the inward parts" of the children of Israel meant that the Holy Spirit "in you" is THAT Law God promised to put in the "inward parts" of Israel to lead and guide them as before but from within. But in any case, "fulfill" doesn't mean "get rid of."
Correct-o-mundo again.I agree with all this, but I would add that the other prophets add more detail. Particularly Ezekiel.
The New Covenant prophesied by Jeremiah is found in Jeremiah 31:31-34 and there is no mention or naming of non-Hebrew Gentiles in this covenant. The New Covenant in this passage is between God and the House of Israel (ten tribes of the northern kingdom), and the House of Judah (two southern kingdom tribes.) There is no mention or inclusion in this prophecy of non-Hebrew Gentiles included in this covenant as the text records the New Covenant. The New Covenant is founded in Jesus' sacrifice which was done under the Law. Since there is no mechanism in the New Covenant by which God is able to "forgive Israel [her sins] and to remember then NO MORE", the only possible explanation is that God used the Mosaic Law - especially the Ceremonial Law - through which substitutionary sacrifice was instructed and commanded by God through which He is able to fulfill Jeremiah's prophecy of "forgiving Israel and remembering [her] sins no more." As I have said before, the New Covenant is only the Mosaic Covenant fulfilled by Christ on His cross at Calvary. Saul makes this clear in his Galatian letter to Jews and Jewish Christians in Galatian region:You seem to be trying hard to put a difference between Israel and Gentiles. But the way Jeremiah's New Covenant was accomplished was by taking a bunch of Gentiles and adopting them to become Israelites.
The Mosaic covenant was primarily there to PUNISH the Israelites and TEACH them to behave better. The whole point of Jeremiah calling for a New Covenant is that the Old one stunk. It didn't actually deal with the problem of sinning. Admittedly, there was (is) a problem with the Jews holding onto their penalty and calling it salvation. But that's a problem, not a feature.Au Contraire, Mr. Wick Stick. The prophets operated (prophesied) while being part of the Mosaic Covenant, which covenant was superseded by the New Covenant when the Holy Spirit of Promise PROMISED TO ISRAEL began with the Holy Spirit's advent in Acts 2.
Jeremiah doesn't name them, but if you check history, I think you'll find that the northern House of Israel did not exist at the time of Jeremiah or Ezekiel. The punishment for their apostasy was death, and they had died - they were bones with no breath (Eze 37). They were LoAmmi - not a people, per Hosea.
The Law stopped applying to the House of Israel when they died. Their covenant ended when they died, as covenants are always 'til death do us part.'The New Covenant is founded in Jesus' sacrifice which was done under the Law. Since there is no mechanism in the New Covenant by which God is able to "forgive Israel [her sins] and to remember then NO MORE", the only possible explanation is that God used the Mosaic Law - especially the Ceremonial Law - through which substitutionary sacrifice was instructed and commanded by God through which He is able to fulfill Jeremiah's prophecy of "forgiving Israel and remembering [her] sins no more."
The House of Judah, who did not die, continued under Moses' Law. So it was necessary for Jesus to die on their behalf. As I have said before, the New Covenant is only the Mosaic Covenant fulfilled by Christ on His cross at Calvary. Saul makes this clear in his Galatian letter to Jews and Jewish Christians in Galatian region:
4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we [JEWS] might receive the adoption of sons. Galatian 4:3–5.
There doesn't need to be.The bottom line is that there is no record or Scripture in the Old Testament of a covenant between God and non-Hebrew Gentiles.
The Mosaic Covenant was given in three parts to the children of Israel. The Social Laws to guide their lives and interaction among the twelve tribes; the Moral Law to guide their behaviors to the twelve tribes and God; the Ceremonial Laws to guide the children of Israel in their worship of God which included substitutionary sacrifice of animals to atone yearly the sins of the twelve tribes of Israel until God would get involved and send His own Son in place of the sacrificed animal to atone finally and eternally the sins of the children of Israel. For obedience there was blessing, for disobedience there was curse. Same thing exists in Biblical Christianity. But that's a problem, not a feature.
That is entirely incorrect. The ten northern kingdom tribes that fell against the Assyrians in 722 BC did not "disappear." They were scattered and taken back to Assyria as captives. They remained there until the rise of Babylon who defeated the Assyrians and what was once Assyrian captives became Babylon's captives along with the two southern kingdom tribes who also fell in war to the Babylonian war machine in 586 BC. So, the twelve tribes survived both onslaughts by each attacker and by the time Jesus arrived on the scene the twelve tribes were still existing and living in Israel as a "remnant" while the majority of Jews (approx. 2 million) remained in Gentile lands heavily influenced by Greek culture. From the first "taking away" of the Jews to both Assyria and Babylon until Jesus came on the scene about 29-35 generations of Jews were born in Gentile lands who became so assimilated into Greek culture that without a Temple they had to practice their religion centered on their calendar and their feasts.Jeremiah doesn't name them, but if you check history, I think you'll find that the northern House of Israel did not exist at the time of Jeremiah or Ezekiel. The punishment for their apostasy was death, and they had died - they were bones with no breath (Eze 37). They were LoAmmi - not a people, per Hosea.
If Gentiles are "not named" in Jeremiah's prophecy of a New Covenant then they are not there in the prophecy and you can't add to the Bible things not there in the Word of God. Adding to God's Words things that He did not say is a sin. That said, Jeremiah's prophecy here requires Israel to be resurrected from the dead to come to pass. Ezekiel specifically calls for their resurrection. So, HOW was Israel resurrected?
Adoption. A bunch of Gentiles, though not named here by Jeremiah, were adopted and BECAME Israelites - the new House of Israel.
God's Word is eternal as is His promises. You are entirely wrong that the House of Israel and Judah had died. Peter spoke to the twelve tribes of Israel in his sermon in Acts 2, and later, James writes to the "twelve tribes scattered" in his letter to Jews living in Gentile lands where God Himself scattered them, not destroyed them:The Law stopped applying to the House of Israel when they died. Their covenant ended when they died, as covenants are always 'til death do us part.'
Non-Hebrew Gentiles were born out of Ham and Japheth, not Abram who was Hebrew (from the family of Eber.)Moreover, when Israel was resurrected, it wasn't under Moses' Law. Those who were baptized into Israel were instead ingrafted under Abraham's covenant - the fulfillment of God's promise to Abraham to make him a "father of Goyim." (Gen 15)
Jesus did nothing of the sort. Jesus wasn't "taking out" anyone from the House of Judah, He was ADDING.The House of Judah, who did not die, continued under Moses' Law. So it was necessary for Jesus to die on their behalf.
But once the penalty was paid, they weren't meant to continue bearing the weight of the penalties installed by Moses. That's why Jesus and the apostles began baptizing Jews, effectively taking them OUT of Judah, and re-installing them under Abraham's covenant. This is the fulfillment of Jeremiah 31 - the House of Judah re-attached and combined with the resurrected House of Israel.
First, God does not save Gentiles. Second, when a Jew becomes born-again, they remain in the tribe they were born in, not get "taken out" and not being replaced, The Church of Jesus Christ He promised to build is populated by Jews. There are no non-Hebrew Gentiles included in the Abrahamic Covenant nor are they included in the Mosaic Covenant. And there are no non-Hebrew Gentiles included in the New Covenant either. The Hebrew Scripture of the Law, the Psalms, and the Prophets are Hebrew writings by Hebrew authors written to and for the Hebrew people. None of the 39 "books" of the Old Testament are written to Gentiles. This is God's attitude towards non-Hebrew Gentiles that live in the Gentile nations:There doesn't need to be.
God made a way for Gentiles to BECOME children of Abraham. When that happens, they cease to be Gentiles, and become part of Israel, to which pertain all the promises of Abraham...
...and none of the penalties of Moses.
That includes some Gentiles as His people Rom 15:10The angel Gabriel declares that the child she will bear will save "His people from their sins" (His people being the children of Israel.)
21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21.
Rejoicing does not mean Gentiles are in covenant with God. Actually, there are no non-Hebrew Gentiles in any of the three Hebrew covenants (Abraham, Mosaic, and New.)That includes some Gentiles as His people Rom 15:10
And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.
They are God's people so they are in Covenant with Him through Christ, that's the only way to be in New Covenant, through ChristRejoicing does not mean Gentiles are in covenant with God
No, I'm accurate. The Assyrians destruction of Israel was ordained by God as punishment, and it included all the survivors being cut off from Israel. That is entirely incorrect. The ten northern kingdom tribes that fell against the Assyrians in 722 BC did not "disappear." They were scattered and taken back to Assyria as captives.
Yes, Babylon rose and Assyria fell. But I know of no historical attestation to the idea that they took over their prisoners. Also, those prisoners only represent a single tribe. So... what's your source, here? They remained there until the rise of Babylon who defeated the Assyrians and what was once Assyrian captives became Babylon's captives along with the two southern kingdom tribes who also fell in war to the Babylonian war machine in 586 BC.
Israel did not survive their divorce/execution. To claim otherwise is to contradict the prophets (and recorded history). From the first "taking away" of the Jews to both Assyria and Babylon until Jesus came on the scene about 29-35 generations of Jews were born in Gentile lands who became so assimilated into Greek culture that without a Temple they had to practice their religion centered on their calendar and their feasts.
The ten northern kingdom tribes called Israel and the two southern kingdom tribes called Judah were present in Jerusalem when Peter gave his sermon as the text reveals:
14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea (two southern kingdom tribes), and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: Acts 2:14.
22 Ye men of Israel (ten northern kingdom tribes), hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: Acts 2:22.
this happens in the other reality,No, I'm accurate. The Assyrians destruction of Israel was ordained by God as punishment, and it included all the survivors being cut off from Israel.
nations always refer to the demon nations,Isaiah 10:5 Woe to Assyria, the rod of my anger; the staff in their hands is my fury! 6 Against a godless nation I send him, and against the people of my wrath I command him, to take spoil and seize plunder, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets. 7 But he does not so intend, and his heart does not so think; but it is in his heart to destroy, and to cut off nations not a few;
yes, eve will divorce adam --- finallyJeremiah calls it a divorce:
Jeremiah 3:8 And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.
yes, this current place we are is DEATHEzekiel calls it death:
this is never about eden souls since eden has no 'bones'Eze 37:11 Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.
we were indeed cut up,Ezekiel helpfully defines this metaphorical death as being "cut off for our parts," which ends up being theologically important to understanding the New Testament.
the captives are our Originals in the other reality,The captives are greatly overstated by pastors and theologians.
without understanding the regions of the other reality,Only 27,290 people were taken captive, all of them came from the tribe of Ephraim, and they completely disappear from history other than the inscription made by Sargon II from which the above number is taken.
