What Does “Another Gospel” Mean?

God has the record. If you're not going to do it yourself, then why are you placing the "onus" upon me.

Even if I took the time to do it, you wouldn't believe it. Discover it yourself or leave it behind. Your choice.

This is hilarious.

"I'll make a wild claim and it's up to you to prove I'm wrong. But even if I actually took the effort to back up my point, I'll just insult you by saying you wouldn't believe it."

However, our thoughts are unlimited. There is no place in our existence where we are more like God than in our imagination. In our imaginations, we can do anything. You might want to consider this in your theology.

New age crap.

"I'll make a wild claim and it's up to you to prove I'm wrong. But even if I actually took the effort to back up my point, I'll just insult you by saying you wouldn't believe it."

How do you have any healthy relationships in life, really?!

Would believe me if I said I did? If not, then what does it matter?

This my point in trying to reason with you. I don't have to prove myself to you. I told the truth and God has the record. Ask him at judgement or ask CS Lewis.

New age crap.

Yeah.... like Jesus suffering the everlasting flames of damnation for you....

You are what you believe you are. Belief is an exercise in imagination. Most people don't live according to reality. They see themselves differently than they see others.

There is no way to address your post without redirecting this thread from it original purpose. For now I will only say this,

The Seed of Abraham is Christ and His elect.

Galatians 3:16
“Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.”

Galatians 3:27-29
“For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.”

Each generation of Abraham's seed were recipients of the Abraham Promises, and each generation believed their generation would be the one that God would raise up for this purpose. And every Jewish woman had hoped they would be the vessel that would bring forth the King of Israel.
Your reference to Galatians 3:28-29 were written to the Jews as they were the ones "under the Law (schoolmaster.)" That is the context of the Galatian letter. You are misapplying Saul's words to apply to Gentiles and this is simply not who Saul wrote those words to. Gentiles were never under the Law (schoolmaster.)

And notice Saul says, "there is neither Jew nor GREEK", not Gentiles, as he is referring to mixed=heritage Hebrews who grew up in Gentile lands (like Galatia) and heavily influenced by Greek culture (Hellenized.) The majority of all Jews alive when Nehemiah returned with a "remnant" of Jews (10%) but the majority of Jews (90%) remained in Gentile lands for about 15-20 generations. They are Abraham's seed but where in the NT is there any Scripture recording their salvation in Christ? They are recorded. The Jews called Samaritans" Samaritan and not Jew in the same attitude that Jews called mixed heritage Jews as Gentile and not Jew and these were the subject of certain Jews that wanted them circumcised in order to be truly saved and the issue found its way back to the apostles and elders in Jerusalem recorded in Acts 15. The Jewish apostles and elders would never place upon non-Hebrew Gentiles any aspect of the Law of Moses so these people would have to be mixed heritage Jews who were asked, [that] ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well" Acts 15:29.

If they were non-Hebrew Gentiles, no Jew would ever seek to circumcise them let along place four aspects of the Law of Moses upon them (Acts 15:29.) There would be riots and tumult if any Jews tried to do such a thing. But as you know there were no such riots which indicates they were all Abraham's seed - some more and some mixed-heritage.

What is another gospel........Is the gospel preach a source of information concerning how we are born again, or is it the means thereof?......... the gospel, the power of God for whom and why?
It's my turn to answer the following questions, so others can judge for themselves, even though some most likely have already pick up overall what I understand concerning these questions.

1) What is another gospel?

The very best answer that can be given must come from the epistle to the churches of Galatia, where Paul, the champion of preserving its purity, will show us in no uncertain speech, what it is, and what is the true gospel of Jesus Christ, by exposing another gospel preach by false prophets.

The sum of Another gospel is a gospel, (which truly there is not another, since there is only one true gospel given to us from heaven, preserved in the scriptures for us to trust in, glory in, love, and defend) ~ is a gospel which teaches that "man has an active work to do" in order for him to be accepted by God, and to have eternal life in the world to come. This false gospel denies man is totally depraved, a servant of sin and the devil, and bound by both, unable to free himself, and truly he does not even desire to be free, for he loves darkness more than light, becuase of the deceitful heart of stone that he has by nature.

(2) Is the gospel preach a source of information concerning how we are born again?

The truth is that the gospel is God's testimony to his children (to whom the word of God was written to) concerning all truths that is profitable for us so that we may have perfect knowledge of who we are, why we are here, and what we can expect after this life is over.

2 Timothy 3:16

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”

God could have chosen many different ways to communicate to his children, but he chose the written word of God. The scriptures were not written to get us born again, but to be used as a source of information per such scriptures as 2nd Timothy 3:16.

(3) Or is it the means thereof?

The gospel is not the means that God uses to get us born again, for that is impossible~one must first be given life to see, hear and to believe, and this is according to God's testimony is a work of God's Spirit alone, without any means that man may come up with to support his gospel that he has come to believe in. John 1:13, etc.

(4) The gospel, the power of God for whom and why?
For whom? The scriptures are clear, the gospel is for believers, all others it is foolishness.... a waste of precious time laboring to reveals it precious truth to them.

Romans 1:16

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”

The gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God to EVERYONE that believeth, and the reason why6 is seen in the very next scripture:

Romans 1:17

“For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.”
"for", or, because of...therein is the righteousness revealed from faith to faith, or, from one that has faith, to another person that has faith! Very clear, or at least it should be, unless one has a biased doctrine that they desire to defend above the word of God, which many do.
The gospel, the power of God for whom and why? The gospel is given by God for our practical salvation while living in this world traveling unto our eternal home in the world to come. 1st Corinthians 1 is the twin sister of Romans 1:16,17, there we read:

1 Corinthians 1:21

“For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.”

Believers, are saved during their lifetime in the flesh, by truth of the gospel, by growing in grace and knowledge of the truth of it, and this comes over a period of time from being a newborn child, to being one that has reached maturity, they are constantly coming unto a more perfect knowledge of its truth and thereby saving them from the world's false prophets who come to steal and destroy their joy, peace in what Christ secured for them by his life of obedience and faith as the Son of Man.

You have placed a good deal of your thinking on your interpretation of the phrase "from faith to faith". That expression is notoriously difficult. One only needs to look at how the various translations present it.

(ASV) For therein is revealed a righteousness of God from faith unto faith:

(ESV) For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith

(KJV) For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith

(NIV) For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed--a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written

The question is does the phrase "from faith" modify the righteousness of God or does it modify revealed. That is, does Paul say that the righteousness of God is from faith or does he say that it is revealed from faith. One need only review the various commentarians to see the confusion. But whatever the phrase "from faith" means, it doesn't really change or add anything to the phrase "to everyone who believes" in verse 16.

In verse 16, the power of God for salvation is said to be to everyone who believes. That clearly presents faith, believing in God, as a condition for receiving salvation. It shows that salvation is conditional. It says that God's plan of justifying people is revealed in the gospel, a plan that is exercised to or on those who believe, "to everyone who believes", to everyone who has faith. It is the gospel that reveals the plan. That is in direct compliance with Paul's statement in 10:17 that "Faith comes from hearing the message". The word of God is sharper that a sword and can penetrate even the hardest of hearts (Heb 4:12).The written word is able to produce saving faith in Jesus (John 20:31).

All of that of course is contrary to the false Augustinian idea that salvation is given unconditionally only to those whom God unconditionally chooses to save. But the point here is that gospel preaching does have the power to produce faith.

Greetings Jim,

Jim, the gospel is the power of God being effective only to believers, for in the preaching thereof, they see God's power, wisdom, grace, mercy, on display through sending His Son to provide a righteousness for those whom He freely chose to show mercy to according to his own will and purpose.

1st Corinthians 1:18

“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which "are saved" it is the power of God.”

Here saved is used in a vital/regenerating sense. If God does not chose us to be partakers of his holy calling, then the preaching of the gospel would be foolishness to us as well~our calling makes the difference between seeing in the gospel God's wisdom and power, and from considering it pure foolishness as many do.

1st Corinthians 1:24

“But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.”

This verse (1st Corinthians 1:24) is saying the very same thing as Romans 1:16.

Hey, good morning Red,

For [from the Greek word "gar" meaning because] therein (that is in the Gospel) the righteousness of God is revealed. Thus revealed, it is the power unto salvation to everyone who believes what has been revealed.

And that is why Paul said in verse 15 that he was ready to preach the gospel to them.

I just wanted to say that I enjoy your well-written, well-thought posts, Jim.
I thank God for your presence in the Forum.

Jeremiah, after rethinking this to see if I could indeed answer your post without redirecting its purpose, I think I can and should.

You said you find no covenant between God and non-Hebrews Gentiles in the scriptures. Regradless what you believe and how far you attempt to prove your doctrine of pure Judaism in its nature, there are only two classes of people in the world biblically speaking ~ Jews and Gentiles; you have invented a third group Hebrews Gentiles.
I believe that the Samaritans (northern kingdom tribes having children with non-Hebrew Assyrians, etc.) are type and shadow of the mixed-heritage Hebrews who are the offspring of the two southern kingdom tribes and Babylonians, etc., that did not join the remnant (10% of all Jews alive at the time) who returned with Nehemiah to rebuild the wall of the city, etc., and which Jews are the majority (of Jews alive at that time - 90%) that remained in Gentile lands and heavily influenced by Greek culture who also in time lost their Jewishness because of this Greek culture and that for about 15-20 generations of Hebrews did have offspring with Babylonians and every non-Hebrew in these lands who are identified as "Gentiles" in the New Testament writings.

I also hold that from Adam to when God made His covenant with Abram the Hebrew there was only one people called "Adamites" and that it was thew Abraham covenant and the token sign of circumcision that God separated through covenant and sign a people to Himself and that as time progressed forward that God delivered this people as prophesied (Gen. 15) from their Egyptian bondage and through Moses made covenant with the children of Israel (Jacob) now called the Mosaic Covenant and that the New Covenant prophesied by Jeremiah (31:31-34) is only the Mosaic Covenant fulfilled by Jesus Christ.

As for your "Hebrew Gentiles" they are only the offspring of Jews and non-Jews and as a mixed heritage Hebrew (or Gentile depending on your perspective) they are the "other flock" Jesus mentions in John 10 along with Samaritans (John 4) whom God was to make one flock with One Shepherd.
I will answer you with unequivocally.....yes I do. Jesus speaking to Nicodemus, a leader of the Jews, said these famous words:

John 3:16,17

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. or God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”
What you fail to understand is that the "world" is identified in context to whom Jesus was speaking to and that would be Nicodemus and the Hebrew/Jewish people. They are the "world" of Hebrews/Jews. Both Jesus and Nicodemus know that God has covenant with Abraham and his seed and that these are the "world" Jesus was referring to in His statement recorded in John 3. One must also take into consideration in order to fully understand the Jesus-Nicodemus exchange Jesus' additional statements in John 3:19-20.

19 And this is the condemnation, that light [CHRIST] is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light [CHRIST], because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light [CHRIST], neither cometh to the light [CHRIST], lest his deeds should be reproved. John 3:19–20.

Jesus states there is a people ALREADY CONDEMNED, and they are "men [who] loved darkness rather than light [Christ.]" If they are "already condemned" then they cannot be redeemed for God is not fickle nor does He change but is Immutable.
This is a true bible declaration from the lips of the Son of God, concerning God's love for the world, and the word world meaning.... Jews and Gentiles. Gentiles being people "not of" Abraham's natural seed.
That is your interpretation, and it is false. Jesus said, "I am not sent but for the lost sheep of the House of Israel" and based upon this truth that His words must be taken in context to the lost sheep of the House of Israel unless the context says otherwise. And since God has no covenant with non-Hebrew (Gentiles) that His words and the words of the Spirit are all addressed to the lost sheep of the House of Israel who are "His people" declared in Matthew 1:21, and His people are the Hebrew people with whom He has covenant with for the purpose of their redemption from sin and sinner in God's Plan for Man on the earth.
Jesus, a Jew came revealing to Nicodemus, who also was Jews by nature, that God's love was not limited to the Jewish race, as many thought and as you believe, but his love is for Jews and Gentiles and among each of them, he has an elect people. Consider:
Where in the Jesus-Nicodemus exchange are "Gentiles" mentioned?
God is not the God of the Jews only, you believe and labor to teach, but he is the God of the Gentiles nations as well unto all that believe and love him.

Romans 3:29

Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:”

Romans 9:24

“Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?”
Let's say for the sake of argument that "Gentiles" in the New Testament refer to "non-Hebrews."

We see in John Jesus' interaction with a Samaritan woman (who is mixed heritage Jew) with Assyrians, etc., who conquered the ten northern kingdom tribes, and that this offspring are still the seed of Abraham and as such are "inheritors of the Promise" (Gal. 3:28-29.) So, what about the majority of Hebrews/Jews (90% of those alive and not among the 'remnant') that are mixed heritage Hebrews with Babylonians etc., where are they mentioned in the New Testament as also being born-again (like Samaritans) and as also still being of Abraham's seed. Where is testimony of their conversion such as the conversion of the Samaritan woman and Samaritans in general or does God not keep covenant with the two southern kingdom tribes (Judah and Benjamin)??

Because the majority of Jews who lived in Gentile lands and did not return with the "remnant" of Jews that went with Nehemiah back to their promised land and that from Nehemiah's departure with a remnant in around 522 BC these 90% majority of Jews mostly intermingled and had Jew-Gentile offspring and that for 15-20 generations Jews with Jews and Jews with Gentiles continued until Jesus' arrival and that these generations did grow up and die for 15-20 generation and heavily influenced by Greek culture (Hellenized) that they are the "Gentiles" (like the "Samaritans") who are the offspring of Jew-Gentile mingling.

Also, that these "Gentiles" being mixed heritage of Jew/Gentiles are the mixed heritage Hebrews or "Gentiles" that some Judaizers wanted to circumcise after being born again and that they are the (mixed heritage) Jews that were the subject of the Jerusalem Council. It is inconceivable that this sect called "The Way" and a sect of Judaism before the great persecutions of Acts 8-9 et.al., by Jews upon Jewish Christians, that the Christian leadership would ever seek to circumcise non-Hebrew Gentiles nor to place upon non-Hebrew Gentiles four aspects of the Law of Moses ("That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication.")
The Jewish Christians enjoyed some semblance of acceptance by Jews alongside Judaism but the fact of Israel's Messiah dying/hanging on a tree was offensive to Jews which led to Jewish Christian persecutions and ultimately spread to the Romans who destroyed Israel and her Temple in AD 70, thus pausing Jewish Christianity until the time of the end.

The thing is you take words that are meant and applied to Israel and apply them to non-covenant, uncircumcised, non-elect non-Hebrew Gentiles and there's your error. You must interpret the Hebrew Scripture with a Hebrew mindset not with a Gentile mindset. The Word of God is to and for His covenant people ONLY. Gentiles are not part of the covenants of God.

All of that of course is contrary to the false Augustinian idea that salvation is given unconditionally only to those whom God unconditionally chooses to save. But the point here is that gospel preaching does have the power to produce faith.
Good morning Jim

It does indeed to those that "are saved".........

1st Corinthians 1:18

“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.”

We must read the word of God distinctly, and then give the sense, so that we and others can understand the reading thereof.

Nehemiah 8:8

“So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.” ;)

The thing is you take words that are meant and applied to Israel and apply them to non-covenant, uncircumcised, non-elect non-Hebrew Gentiles and there's your error.
That is so against the word of God. Paul left the Jews' religion, (Galatians 1:14 in which he profit in above many) and I would suggest to you to do the same. Consider:

There is no land promise for them in this world...

“And said unto him, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and come into the land which I shall shew thee. Then came he out of the land of the Chaldaeans, and dwelt in Charran: and from thence, when his father was dead, he removed him into this land, wherein ye now dwell. And he gave him none inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on: yet he promised that he would give it to him for a possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet he had no child.” Acts 7:3-5

“By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God…. These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.” Hebrews 11:8-16

What about an innumerable family?
“And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” Revelation 5:9-10

“After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.” Revelation 7:9-10

What about taking their enemies’ gate?
“And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16:18

“But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you. When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace: But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.” Luke 11:21-22

“For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be
destroyed is death.” I Corinthians 15:25-26

“Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.” Colossians 2:14-15

What about blessings on all the nations of the earth?

“By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for
his name:” Romans 1:5

“But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:” Romans 16:26

“And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.” Galatians 3:8

But what about Jerusalem?

“For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.” Galatians 4:25-26

“For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.” Hebrews 11:10

“But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,” Hebrews 12:22

“For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.” Hebrews 13:14

Are only some Israelites the seed of Abraham?
“Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!”John 1:47

“Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.” Romans 9:6-8

“And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.” Galatians 6:16

Are only some Jews the seed of Abraham?
“They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham.” John 8:39

“For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.” Romans 2:28-29

“I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.” Revelation 2:9

“Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.” Revelation 3:9

So Israel is a spiritual nation of elect Jews and Gentiles?
“Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name. And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written, After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things. Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.” Acts 15:14-18

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.” I Peter 2:9-10

You must interpret the Hebrew Scripture with a Hebrew mindset not with a Gentile mindset
We must interpret scriptures with the mind of Christ, not with the mind of the Jews' rellgion.

1st Corinthians 2:16

“For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.” You said: "Gentiles are not part of the covenants of God"..... yet so many scriptures said otherwise, for now, here's one.

Ephesians 3:6

“That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:”
Jeremiah, you are badly deceived, and laboring to deceive others.

Yes, we must read the word of God distinctly.

1st Corinthians 1:18

(ESV) For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

(ISV) For the message about the cross is nonsense to those who are being destroyed, but it is God's power to us who are being saved.

(NASB) For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

(NIrV) The message of the cross seems foolish to those who are lost and dying. But it is God's power to us who are being saved.

(NIV) For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

Jim, you are trying to find a translation that would support your doctrine, that's not reading the scriptures distinctly~"being saved" in a legal sense, is against the scriptures, for God's word clearly testifies:

Romans 8:1

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

This is how one reads the word of God distinctly and with honestly. (y)

Jim, you are trying to find a translation that would support your doctrine, that's not reading the scriptures distinctly~"being saved" in a legal sense, is against the scriptures, for God's word clearly testifies:
Red, I am just trying with all my heart to find the best translation/interpretation of what was originally written by the apostles and prophets through the inspiration of God through the Holy Spirit. That is something that you refuse to do by your KJV only approach to God's word.

And I truly reject your five-version description of salvation. Let me explain.

Our sin against God takes two basic forms; it burdens the sinner with a two-fold problem. On the one hand sin makes us guilty. Guilt is a wrong relationship with the law of God, involving a liability to punishment. On the other hand, sin gives us a sinful or depraved nature. It infects the spirit (and the body as a result) with spiritual weakness and corruption. Because the sinner’s problem is twofold, grace as the content of salvation must also be twofold. The first aspect of salvation received by the believing, penitent sinner is the gift of justification, which solves the problem of guilt and removes all punishment. God as Judge declares that the penalty for sin no longer applies to us. The second aspect of salvation, resulting from the gift of the indwelling Spirit, consists of the divine works of regeneration and sanctification. God as Physician cures the disease of sin that afflicts our natures, thus resolving the problem of spiritual corruption and restoring us to spiritual wholeness.

This two-fold burden, this "double trouble" of the sinner requires a two-fold solution, a "double cure". God in saving the sinner exercises the double cure of Justification and regeneration at the same instant in time in the life of the believing penitent sinner, taking him from being lost to being saved. He goes from being a lost sinner to being a saved saint in that instant. There is no situation of one being justified and yet not regenerated; nor is there a situation of one being regenerated and yet not justified. To be "in Christ" is to be Justified and regenerated. To be "in Christ" is to be saved.

I could post a great deal more about all of that, but I will leave it as summarized.

Jim, I refuse to judge your heart, so, I accept your sincerity.

So, what are you attempting to say? Men can be perfect, is that what you want us to take from your words, or, just we should be doers of the word of God, which I teach and believe with all of my heart.

I simply posted the words of Paul that you omitted, to demonstrate the difference between your gospel and the Gospel of Christ that Paul was teaching to the Philippians. As you can clearly see, the religious philosophy you were promoting, by posting one sentence from Paul, doesn't even resemble the gospel that Paul was actually promoting in his message to the Philippians, when the rest of his words were considered.

I said.

Paul doesn't warn about men who "Yield themselves" to God and their bodies as instruments of righteousness unto God, in Galatians.

This is undeniably true. There is no teaching to the Contrary anywhere within the entire Holy scriptures.

But you posted one sentence in Phil. 3, took it completely out of context, to somehow prove that my belief in Paul's words is unfounded, or that this one sentence somehow makes God's, Jesus' and Paul's instructions void in the rest of the Bible, void.

And now, you will set about to justify yourself and your preaching, by directing the discussion towards me, as if I inspired Paul to write his words that you omitted, and not the Spirit of God.

You do this all the time and have for years.

So your preaching notwithstanding, Paul never warns about anyone who "Yields themselves" unto God, and their body as instruments of righteousness unto God. Not the Galatians, not the Romans, not the Ephesians and not the Philippians.

He does, however, warn about religious men "Transforming themselves" into apostles of Christ, and to "Beware of" this world's religious philosophy and Traditions of men who "profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate"

So you are free to promote the Calvinists "Holy Lottery" salvation theology if you want. You can sell pork ribs and slugs to other people's children for profit on God's Sabbath to increase cash flow, I don't care. But when you twist or cherry-pick the Words of Jesus or Paul, to "Justify" this religious behavior, someone needs to point out what the Scriptures actually say so that people might take heed, look into it themselves and find what I found, which is not to trust the religious system of this world, that Calls Jesus Lord, Lord, for instruction in righteousness.

The scriptures teach that:

1 Timothy 4:4

“For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:”

Again, you omit Paul's word for the purpose of promoting and justifying your specific religion. Not to reflect what Paul is actually teaching. Clearly Paul didn't write his epistles, so religious men could twist them to justify a religious sect or business of this world. Here, Let's include more of Paul's word, to see what he is actually teaching.

1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and "doctrines" of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from "meats", which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. 4 For every creature "of God" is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

5 For it is sanctified "by the word of God" and prayer.

Consider how foolish it is to actually believe that Paul uses "meats" here to mean maggots, slugs, swine's flesh, etc. But that is exactly what you are doing.

When a man considers all of Paul's words, it is clear that he is speaking about "Teaching" here, not eating slugs or swine's flesh, which God instructs His People not to do. Where did God create dog meat and slugs or pigs to be eating with thanksgiving? Where is it "sanctified" by the Word of God?

Paul uses the same word "meat" when speaking to the Corinthians.

1 Cor. 3: 1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. 2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: neither yet now are ye able. 3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

Do you really believe he is talking about feeding these men swine? Maggots? Dog meat? Or is he talking about "teaching"? Will you also then preach to the world that when Jesus said to "eat His Flesh, and Drink His Blood, HE is advocating Cannibalism? Or is He advocating that men "Walk" even as HE walked? To "Live" by the "Same teaching" HE lived by.

In the latter day's men, who "come in Christ's Name", will teach against the Gospel of Christ given to Israel and to us. A Teaching that God created to be received with thanksgiving. A Teaching that causes those who live by it, to become the Children of God. For every "Creature of God" is good.

A teaching Paul said was profitable "for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man "of God" may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works".

In other words, in our time on earth, there will be religions who Jesus said would come in His Name, who forbids men to Join with and become One with Him and His God, and they will command that men abstain from "Living By" the "teaching" of God, which HE created to be received with thanksgiving for those who know and love the truth.

Lev. 11: 45 For I am the LORD that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy. 46 This is the law of the beasts, and of the fowl, and of every living creature that moveth in the waters, and of every creature that creepeth upon the earth: 47 To make a difference between the unclean and the clean, and between the beast that may be eaten and the beast that may not be eaten.

You quoted one sentence from Paul, again, to Timothy this time, to promote YOUR religious philosophy that Leviticus 11:45-47 is a "Doctrine of devils" spoken by a "Seductive Spirit".

Clearly that is not Paul's message to Timothy.

We let our moderation be known to all men...the Lord is at hand, and receive what we do with a sincere and thankful heart. Fried pork chops and mashed potatoes and gravy is good. But, you still hold on the the Jewish dietary laws, thinking what goes into your body either keep you clean or it defiles you.

Nothing from outside my heart defiles me. It is the lust to rebel against God within the heart of man, that defiles the man, when he lets it "Reign in our mortal bodies". In fact, I would not have known that maggots, slugs and swine's flesh are unclean for food, unless God's Law had not said,

Lev. 11: 46 This is the law of the beasts, and of the fowl, and of every living creature that moveth in the waters, and of every creature that creepeth upon the earth: 47 To make a difference between the unclean and the clean, and between "the beast that may be eaten and the beast that may not be eaten".

The neighbors naked wife doesn't defile the man. It's the lust from your heart to look at her, that can defile the man, if he doesn't rule over it. This is why Paul teaches; Rom. 6: 12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

The cash in the register doesn't defile the man, it's his coveting from the heart what doesn't belong to him, that defiles him. It's not the pork chop that defiles you, it's the lust from your heart to have what God forbids, that when conceived, defiles you. Just as it wasn't the fruit Eve ate that defined her. It was the lust from her heart to do what God told her not to do, that when conceived, brought forth sin and death.

God is my Father. Doesn't HE have the right to instruct His Children as to what is food and what is not? Didn't Jesus specifically tell me to Seek out God's Righteousness, so that I can know HIS instruction for His children concerning these things?

Did you not dictate to your children what to eat and what not to eat when they were young? How is it you demand the Right to instruct your children what is clean and what is not, but you deny God, the Father of all, the Same Right?

The Kingdom of God is more than food and drink, but we still have need to know about these things. If you are going to reject His Word concerning something as basic as "food", not being willing to deny your flesh in the same way you would expect your own children to do, then why would I listen to you concerning something as serious as Salvation?

This is why I came out of this world's religious system Red. Their religious philosophies, their judgments, their high days and images of God in the likeness of men that you have adopted, and you are promoting, are there for a reason. Just as the "other voice" in the garden was there for a reason.

We should choose to obey God, not the "other voice" in the garden. This is the theme of the Holy Scriptures from Genesis to Revelation.

12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

What I advocate for is "Living by" the Word's Jesus said to Live by. Your assertion that it is impossible for men not to eat slugs or swine's flesh, is foolishness. Your assertion that God gave Noah useless Jewish Traditions, is also foolish. So why do you promote such foolishness?

Paul answers this question as well.

Rom. 1: 21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, "they became fools", 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

It is for this reason we are told to repent, "Turn to God", (not Calvinism or Arminianism or Catholicism) and "DO Works" worthy of Repentance. Since "My" righteousness is nothing but a filthy rag, Paul teaches to "Yield myself" to God and become servants of "His" Righteousness, not yours or the Popes.

All things are lawful for God's children, they may not be expedient, and some things at certain times we may not do, because of weak brethren, yet all things are lawful as far as eating and drinking, etc.

1 Corinthians 10:23

“All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.”

Later I'll finish.

Again, you take one sentence from Paul and wrest it to justify your adopted religious philosophy. And again, when a man includes all of Paul's words in 1 Cor. 10, the difference between the gospel you are promoting, and the Gospel Message Paul is actually teaching, do not even resemble each other.

1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;

2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; 3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat; 4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. 5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. 7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. 8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. 9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents. 10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. 12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

Clearly Paul's message to Timothy is not that God's Children are free to let sin reign in their mortal Bodies.

What if the Jesus "of the bible" is telling you the truth, when HE instructed men to live by the Words of His Father?

Surely a man should consider this question.
