What does it mean that Jesus is the Only Begotten Son ?

I looked up parousia on the Theological Dictionary. It has ten pages of details about the usage of that word (and the noun form).
Here is an interesting study on these 2 words one of them being parousia. One passage uses both words parousia and epiphenia which refer to the 2nd Coming of Christ. It always refers to the Son so that we know that Titus 2:13 is calling the Son- our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.

2 Thessalonians 2:8
8
Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance(epiphenia) of His coming(parousia);

Above we see both words are combined to the singular event- the 2nd Coming of Christ.

Peter refers to Christ as our God and Saviour- Lord and Saviour just the same as Paul in Titus 2:13 and it’s the same Greek construction in Titus 2:13 as it is in 2 Peter 1:1and 1:11.

And the One who is coming / appearing in the NT is always the Son and NEVER the Father

epiphanea

2 Thessalonians 2:8
8 Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming;

1 Timothy 6:14
14 that you keep the commandment without stain or reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,

2 Timothy 1:10
10 but now has been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus,

2 Timothy 4:1
I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom:

2 Timothy 4:8
8 in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing.

Titus 2:13
13 looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus,

Titus 2:13
Of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ ‎tou ‎‎megalou ‎‎Theou ‎‎kai ‎‎sooteeros ‎‎Ieesou ‎‎Christou‎. This is the necessary meaning of the one article with ‎Theou ‎and ‎sooteeros ‎just as in 2 Peter 1:1,11. See Robertson, Grammar, p. 786. Westcott and Hort read ‎Christou ‎‎Ieesou‎.

23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?

1 Thessalonians 3:13
13 To the end he may establish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.

2 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

And 2 Thessalonians 2:8 links both His appearing / coming as the same event of Christ not the Father. Both epiphenea and parousia together below in the same verse.

2 Thessalonians 2:8
8 Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming;

1 Peter 1:7
7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

Conclusion : This is where Unitarians really fail badly because they are so consumed with disproving the Deity of Christ that they fail with a well rounded theology which would benefit them greatly . You see how all biblical doctrines fit together seamlessly and especially in this case prove beyond all doubt that the one and only Person Paul was referring to in Titus 2:13 as God was Jesus and not the Father for He is never once in Scripture referred to as the One who is Coming/ Appearing .

hope this helps !!!

Did you know that i have never once studied any of these word meanings
and yet by simply reading the bible daily for hours , by grace know what it means .
The reason i brought that up is i have notice , as prob ably you have too , that
i see folks using such words and yet both sides do so to defend their beleif . Well both sides cannot be right
when they oppose each other .
The reason i bring this up is , if we just use and read the bible
you would be amazed at how simple it all is . its men that complicated it .
For example . Does it not say the Word was God . IT DOES
God is His word . Jesus even tells jo hn , I am the first and the last .
GUESS who used that title . GOD did . and ONLY GOD did . no prophet ever used it
no king ever claimed it . GOD DID . its far easire had we just learned the bible .
In fact the more we read the bible for our own selves , the clearer things become in time .

While agree with you and the truth is plain to see and self evident the facts of the word meanings listed defend the Deity of Christ which is attacked on a daily basis. So the truth of the identity of Christ cannot be refuted. No one can say : Jesus is Lord except by the Spirit. And we know since many cannot confess Jesus is Lord (God, YHWH ) we know they do not have the Holy Spirit and do not speak the truth. The truth ( sword of the Spirit ) cuts like a 2 edged sword. :)

hope this helps !!!

And now let us talk about what else no one can do BY THE SPIRIT .
brace yourself cause this is gonna anger folks .
No man can call JESUS accursed .
SO tell me why do so many who claim to HAVE the SPIRIT
sit under a fat lie . a lie which does make JESUS accursed . A lie
that implies its not necessary TO HAVE HAD TO BELIEVED ON JESUS .
As it hugs on korans and budda statues
and says things like we all coming to GOD in our own way . Ever wonder
WHY i warn so often and so much against that broad fake love ecuminecal and her interfaith .
You see . we cant say LET GOD BE TRUE and THEN TURN around and call HIM A LIAR .
We cannot claim to BELEIVE and yet preach UNBELIEF .
So my advice is very clear and it remains the same .
GET EVERYONE OUT of any of these lets find common g round unity Interfaith churches . AND let none
who even names the NAME OF CHRIST sit under such .
