Look , not all of us needs to be guided and led around because some of us has the understanding to know.Huh? There is a way for those not predestined to be saved?
Since you refuse to read what others post on that subject from commentaries to multiple translations , just dont you worry about it.
Your self professed prophet had you brainwashed just like prophet Mrs White has the SDAs and Prophet Joseph Smith of Mormon fame.

Before the Spirit was hovering over the water in Genesis 1 the Heavenly Father had made a plan.
He would create a world and within that world would be a child born who came directly from the heavenly realm.
Now YOU are a Presbyterian so I know that you know and understand what the Father Son and Holy Spirit are.....
And Jesus was/is that Son.
So, yes indeed God did predestine everything that was to be made because it was His plan. His blueprint as it were.
And then he had His Son come to be an offering to mankind who Satan had been allowed to really expletive up.
No one is forced to accept or believe in Jesus and what he does. Only an idiot would turn from the offering that has been on the table.

John Calvin as Sixteenth-Century Prophet
The opening orientation to Calvin, and then the survey of the theological background to prophetism in the West, are followed by three chapters on Calvin in which the focus narrows onto the later years of Calvin's life, the middle 1550's until his death. These were years of political struggle, of plots, of iconoclasm and of popular unrest between the Huguenots and the French authorities. Some scholars have taken this up, and Balserak joins them, but thinks that scholarship has not so far been thorough enough. For Calvin's awareness of what a prophet is is varied, sometimes seeming to allow that there are prophets still, at other times that prophecy has ceased, and sometimes in a state of indecision over the question. Solution? Calvin is thought to hold to what he occasionally says, that the prophets' multi-tasked activities arise from their central task of proclaiming the will of God (pp.12-13) Prophets do A, B and C. Calvin sees himself doing A, B and C; therefore Calvin sees himself as a prophet. By and large he saw A, B and C not as autonomously prophetic activities but derivatively so, via the word of God. (Balserak sees some evidence that Calvin believed in his own prophetic foretelling. But I am not persuaded. Being confident that one has prophetic certainty, which is what Calvin may well have been, is not the same thing as believing one has a prophetic gift.)

How?
Start by learning, and then Believe what is offered and let your faith build to over abundance so when you say I know.... You can confidently say I know, and my know knows.
If you dont understand that, then you are blinded and you better look into that before too much time passes.
