The unending requirement of faith

There is something I really want to know. Perhaps you can help. What does having faith in Jesus produce? One example we see on this is with the following verse. What does the Christian accomplish by believing they are dead with Christ because Christ is living in them and that new life is now believing in Jesus Christ?

Galatians 2:20
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
We bury our old self. That's what is accomplished before being raised to life by Christ 'because Christ is living in them and that new life is now believing in Jesus Christ".

Nowhere do we read salvation through faith equates to works of the law claim are totally bizzarre
Rom 3:21

But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Now Faith is a requirement of the Law Matt 23:23

23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

The word ought is the greek word dei:
  1. necessity in reference to what is required to attain some end
  2. a necessity of law and command, of duty, equity

So if anyone, you,me ,or anyone else says Faith is a requirement to be done in order to get saved, or Justified before God, its law keeping Salvation and they are now indebted to keep the whole Law to be saved. Good luck with that friend.

People forget

Hebrews 13:16 (KJV 1900) — 16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
This is how I see Galatians 2:20 Not "in" but "of"
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

I live by the faith of the Son of God...

If Paul in Galatians 2:20 says he's crucified in the flesh. But he still lives, but not him, but Christ. Then I gotta think he's referring to the Christ within. The new nature. And that is the spirit of Christ, which we can shorten to spirit. Then it's the faith from the spirit. Well, one of the operations or manifestations of the spirit is faith.

And I would say by the faith in

It is through faith in Christ we are made alive

John 20:31 (LSB) — 31 but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name.

John is not the New Testament. Can we at least compare apples to apples? God did put a paper between Malachi and Matthew that says New Testament. Men did that.

Absolutely nothing there about faith being a work of the law

You require faith to get saved, you become a debtor to do the whole law, thats all to it.
Just like the bible does

2 Thessalonians 2:10 (KJV 1900) — 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

Except faith is not law and your claim makes no sense at all
Faith is a requirement of the Law, it ought to be done Matt 23:23

23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

The word ought dei :
  1. necessity in reference to what is required to attain some end
  2. a necessity of law and command, of duty, equity
So you bound by the Law Pal !

Not if you believe scripture

Romans 4 (KJV 1900) — 1 What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found? 2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. 3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. 4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

as for

Matthew 23:23 (KJV 1900) — 23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

those were four different items not three items of law otherwise you make judgment and mercy law as well

Your view here is not rational
