The Trinity and all of its supporting doctrines are all circular in reasoning

@amazing grace ~ Why does the spirit go back to God when the flesh dies?

Why does Matt 10:28 say " And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."

And better yet.... Do you know who said this. It was said by Jesus.

Do you think he was in error???????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Neither of these speaks to a Complete person . They are as separate as your teeth are from your Hair, or your ears to your feet.

They make up you but they are parts of you independent from each other.

@amazing grace ~ Why does the spirit go back to God when the flesh dies?
FreeinChrist - I asked you a question first. When you have answered my question I will respond to yours.
When Ecc. 12:7 says the spirit shall return unto God who gave it --- what is 'spirit'? under ruach - we have as the main definitions wind, breath, mind, spirit . . . under spirit - animation, listed attitudes, dispositions, emotions, mental activity - God's given gift, etc.
(I broke this down simply so I would encourage looking it up for a fuller, lengthier definition) :)

So what goes back to God - I don't believe it is 'animation' we are dead there is no longer animation; mental activity.
Ecc. 9:5,10 says 'the dead no nothing' --- 'no work or thought or knowledge or wisdom is in the grave'; we can't contradict that verse . . . so again, what goes back to God?
So what is 'spirit'? What goes back to God?
Your soul and spirit do not die. It is the flesh that does.

You do not believe in the tripartite of man.
I believe that a COMPLETE person is made up of a body, a soul, and a spirit. The body is flesh, the soul is the breath and the spirit of man is the seat of emotions, characteristics, dispositions - that which animates the person.

Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I am nothing without my body, I am nothing without my soul, I am nothing without my spirit . . . that is why I consist of all three.
I can't go anywhere without my soul . . . I can't go anywhere without my spirit . . . and I especially can't go anywhere without my body :ROFLMAO: --- all three make me a COMPLETE PERSON. IOW, I am not a Triune being :ROFLMAO:.
Can you go anywhere without your body? Can you go anywhere without your soul? Can you go anywhere without your spirit? IOW, Can you go to the store and leave your soul at home?
Why does Matt 10:28 say " And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."

And better yet.... Do you know who said this. It was said by Jesus.

They make up you but they are parts of you independent from each other.
All this does is try to divert you from answering what I asked you.

As pointed out - I can't go anywhere without my soul . . . can't go anywhere without my spirit, etc. I can only function and live as a complete person, as a human being with a body, soul and spirit.
Now, what you brought up in comparison - hair, ears, teeth, feet yes, those are separate parts of my BODY - I can function if some of those parts are gone. . . . without a soul or spirit a body is just an empty shell.

I think this topic should probably be taken elsewhere. This thread is about the Trinity not death.
If I am the one who took it off topic, I apologize. :)

nope parables never mention people by name.

next fallacy
God doesn't send people to torment because they have nice things in life as the parable of the rich man and Lazarus states. There is no hard rule that a parable cannot have peoples' names in it. You seem to be making up parable criteria on the fly.

The story is not a parable but a factual account. Parables do not have names mentioned in them, parables which are fictional lack names.

So, you believe it's not a parable because it has a name in it, is non-fiction, and God sends people to hell if they dare get any blessings in life? Sorry, but that's ridiculous and is runs contrary to the gospel the Bible preaches. Better to call it a parable or at least a spiritual lesson, but not a factual account.

Nope it’s an actual account. See below why.

Luke 16:19-31 has been the focus of much controversy. Some take the story of the rich man and Lazarus to be a true, historical account of events that actually occurred; others consider it a parable or allegory.

Those who interpret this narrative as a true incident have several reasons for doing so. First, the story is never called a parable. Many other of Jesus’ stories are designated as parables, such as the sower and the seed (Luke 8:4); the prosperous farmer (Luke 12:16); the barren fig tree (Luke 13:6); and the wedding feast (Luke 14:7). Second, the story of the rich man and Lazarus uses the actual name of a person. Such specificity would set it apart from ordinary parables, in which the characters are not named.

Third, this particular story does not seem to fit the definition of a parable, which is a presentation of a spiritual truth using an earthly illustration. The story of the rich man and Lazarus presents spiritual truth directly, with no earthly metaphor. The setting for most of the story is the afterlife, as opposed to the parables, which unfold in earthly contexts.Got?

hope this helps !!!

If any part of Jesus was alive until his bodily resurrection - he did not die for your sins. DEATH is the CESSATION OF LIFE.

If you cannot understand about the tripartite of man, you never could comprehend the Trinity.

NOT that I am saying they the same thing... but until you can grasp that there is very definity 3 in one in both cases.

God said let US (plural) make man in our image, after our likeness

The Bible says that man consists of three component parts: body, soul and spirit. Man is a triune being because he is created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26-27), who Himself is a Trinity.

The Bible says that man consists of three component parts: body, soul and spirit. Man is a triune being because he is created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26-27), who Himself is a Trinity.

The view that man is made of three parts is called “trichotomy.” But there is an idea also that prevails largely today that man consists of only two component parts: namely, body and soul/spirit (dichotomy). They say that “spirit” is not a separate part of man, but simply another term for “soul”, and that both terms are used interchangeably in Scripture to talk about the immaterial part of man, the part that lives on after our bodies die.

But the 3 parts of man and their reason....

What the Bible says about Spirit in Man and Communication

Job 32:8

The spirit mentioned here is not the Holy Spirit. This “breath of the Almighty” is a separate and distinct spirit that enables people to have qualities in God's image while remaining merely human. It enables communication to take place, even between God and humans. God, however, is not the only being who can communicate with and to us. Of course, other humans can communicate with us, as can angels. Such communication is not only verbal, but it can also be through the influence of other spirits and attitudes, be they evil or righteous.

Spiritual rebirth, often referred to as being "born again," is a fundamental concept in Christian theology that signifies a profound transformation and renewal of an individual's spirit. This transformation is believed to be initiated by the Holy Spirit and marks the beginning of a new life in Christ. The term "born again" is derived from the Greek word "anōthen," which can mean "again" or "from above," indicating both a renewal and a divine origin.
(and IMO is what Jesus was trying to convey to Nicodemus.)

It is though our spirit that we communicate with God.

I would move right into the Soul but for today I am out of time. But this is actually IMMO perfectly in line with the topic

on the Trinity.

There are many links that can be provided if you are interested, but for now I must run.

You still have the issue of God not judging people that way, the matter of Jesus saying they won't believe if someone rose from the dead even though the gospel requires believers to believe Jesus was raised from the dead, and there being no examples of people going to torment. The rest of the Bible says people are either destroyed or are just dead until they are resurrected. So the factual reality of the gospel is contrary to the rich man and Lazarus story. So I'm convinced it's a parable.

So Bible is firmly against a literal interpretation of that story. It having a name in it is not a criteria for it not being a parable anyway.

Why are you having such a hard time answering the questions I put forth to YOU.

You are correct - I do not comprehend the Trinity which is why I am no longer a Trinitarian.
God is not a plurality. 'So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.' God - elohim - used as singular; created - bara - singular verb; his, he - singular personal pronouns If God was a Triune God plural verbs, and plural pronouns would have been used.
The Bible says that man consists of three component parts: body, soul and spirit. Man is a triune being because he is created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26-27), who Himself is a Trinity.
BUT I do understand that man is comprised of a body, soul, and spirit.
I'm not denying that a human being consists of body, soul and spirit. - these are NOT PARTS . . Can you go anywhere without your body? Can you go anywhere without your soul? Can you go anywhere without your spirit? IOW, Can you go to the store and leave your soul at home?

then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature. [Gen. 2:7] God formed man from the dust of the ground = the body; God breathed [nāp̄aḥ naw-fakh' to breathe, blow] into his nostrils the breath [nᵊšāmâ - breath, spirit; 1) breath (of God); breath (of man); every breathing thing 4) spirit (of man)] of life = man became a living creature (nephash). Man became a living creature consisting of body, your soul/spirit.

For who knows a person's thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. [1 Cor. 2:11] spirit of man

Yes . . . Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again; he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

Spiritual rebirth; being born again is being born of God's Spirit. When we are born from the womb we consist of body, soul, and spirit (spirit of man) which is why we have to be born again of God's Spirit. I agree that it is by way of the spirit we receive when we are born again that we communicate with God. If we initially had the Spirit of God why would we have to be born again?

If you want to continue this line of thought - we really need to move or open another thread.

Nope... not into an endless debate where one not understand what is written.

If it says in the bible that your spirit goes back to God once your flesh is rotting....that spirit is not dead.

What it is doing is while we await the end or the endtimes IDK as it is not said.

One might say it is learning. One might say it is worshipping the Heavenly Father and Jesus... We simply cannot know. But it is not dead or it would have been left with the body.

This is the only question you asked about that has any meat to it because it is explained in the bible what happens after death.

I have not read this but I would surmise that it is awaiting the "new glorified one" made by God's hands and not from man... )ie your mom and dad)

We know the spirit does not die..... it is in the bible not some commentary that some earthling wrote on their personal opinion.

We know the soul does not die. How do we know...Because Jesus told us that we need to be wary of Him who can kill both the body and soul. So it is not part of your flesh.

You are unable to see or understand this but the 3 parts of man each have their respective "jobs" to do Just like the
3 in the Godhead each have their "JOBS".

So I am saying not to further discussions elsewhere and you are right... it is time for them to stop

Be blessed

Nope... not into an endless debate where one not understand what is written.

If it says in the bible that your spirit goes back to God once your flesh is rotting....that spirit is not dead.
Well, again no answer - What is spirit? What is 'spirit' that goes back to God? is it a tangible being? is it your breath? is it the gift God gave when you were born again? I don't believe it is a tangible entity.
We can't just blatantly disregard all the scriptures that say we don't praise God in the grave, we know nothing, we have no wisdom, etc. What you are saying is that a person dies but doesn't really die. . .
What it is doing is while we await the end or the endtimes IDK as it is not said.
So we have everybody's spirit alive with God ---- Why do we need a resurrection?

When we go to sleep at night - (normally) we sleep through the night and the next thing we remember it's morning and we are awake . . . I see death in the same manner which is why I think God uses the metaphor 'sleep' when talking about death. In order for Jesus to be the firstborn from the dead and the firstfruits of those who sleep - all those that have died are asleep in the graves. When the day comes, they will hear the voice of Jesus and come out of their tombs (John 5) so after years of being dead (asleep) their next thought will be when they see God and Jesus Christ! Amazing all the time that has passed they aren't even aware of!
One might say it is learning. One might say it is worshipping the Heavenly Father and Jesus... We simply cannot know. But it is not dead or it would have been left with the body.
Did you not read the verses I posted? We can know - the scriptures tell us. We can't just blatantly disregard all the scriptures that say we don't praise God in the grave, we know nothing, we have no wisdom, etc.
If spirit is our breath - THEN YES WE QUIT BREATHING our breath goes back to God. If spirit is what animates our bodies - our thoughts, our emotions, our personalities then YES WE quit breathing that ACTIVITY STOPS and maybe that is what goes back to God . . . I think simply - we quit breathing and our breath leaves our body and goes back to God. We are dead, we are asleep and when Christ returns we will be raised in our spiritual bodies.
This is the only question you asked about that has any meat to it because it is explained in the bible what happens after death.

I have not read this but I would surmise that it is awaiting the "new glorified one" made by God's hands and not from man... )ie your mom and dad)

Be blessed
I have no idea which question you were referring to that had 'meat'????

My body protects my organs . . . my soul/spirit is my breath life and my mental and emotional being.
Whereas, the Trinity - Jesus was God in the flesh living on earth during his ministry while God was in heaven speaking audibly - "This is my beloved Son". . . and the Holy Spirit just doing spirit stuff. (One of the reasons I am no longer a Trinitarian - God in heaven and another God on earth as a human . . . no two ways around it - 'two Gods')

I can't do that. I can't be in one place and in another place - my body, soul, spirit has to stay intact or I am not a human being anymore.

Thank and God bless you also.

Well, again no answer - What is spirit? What is 'spirit' that goes back to God? is it a tangible being? is it your breath? is it the gift God gave
I have answered and you do not understand. That tells me that you heart is hardened which is a spiritual condition where a person's heart is hardened, preventing them from understanding or perceiving truth. This concept is reflected in scriptures like Matthew 13:15, which states that some people's hearts have grown callous, leading them to be unable to see, hear, or understand.

Is it a gift from God. YES!!! Every person ever born has or had a human spirit.

The utmost simplest explanation is this

The human spirit is the innermost part of a person, which allows them to connect with God and experience spiritual life. It encompasses our intellect, feelings, and creativity, and is considered essential for understanding and worshiping God.

It is the part of you that.... if you are so lucky and blessed .... the Holy Spirit communicates with.

Atheist have human spirits. Muslims have human spirits. Indigenous people have human spirits.... But for you who are a Christian and I dare say any from Jesus blood line back to David and before that back to Adam by way of Isaac's side of Abraham..... I say anyone forward from Adam, through Isaac, and David to Mary had the human spirit capable of communicating with God

What it is is the spirit that returns to God at death is the breath of life, the divine spark of life, or the life-giving energy.

The following I pray that you can understand.....

What Exactly Is Our Spirit?

Bethany Verrett
Writer
UpdatedJune 16, 2023

What makes people special? Humans are the only species to create language, to build cities, and to move beyond the laws of nature and institute civilizations. Humanity can do all of these special things because God created them to carry the Imago Dei - the image of God. God creates, so people can create. God institutes order, so people can institute order.

Part of being made in the image of God also means having a bit of His character. God is Spirit, so people have spirits. The Bible asserts, “But it is the spirit in man, the breath of the Almighty, that makes him understand” (Job 32:8). The spirit of a person was put in them so they could connect with God and be like Him. Just as part of God’s character is Spirit, people have spirit that endows on them the image of God.

What Is a Spirit?

When considering what it is that makes a human made in the image of God, the idea that God gave man a spirit – and defining that – is key. Everyone has a mind that allows them to think and reason. The heart helps people feel and connect.

The Greek word for soul is psyche, which can also be translated as personality. The soul is the unique character traits attached to the part of the spirit in a specific body, mind, and heart. The Greek word for the spirit, pneuma, translates roughly to breath; it is the living essence that connects the body, heart, and mind, and will return to God when a Christian dies. The spirit is that which is eternal in a person. In fact, when Jesus died on the cross, “Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, ‘Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!’ And having said this he breathed his last” (Luke 23:46). He committed His eternal spirit, which continued to exist, even though His body stopped functioning. At the resurrection, His spirit and body reunited.

The body will die, but the spirit will continue into the next life, either in Heaven or Hell. Christians believe the spirit and the body will be reunited one day, made perfect to live forever with God. The Bible asserts the spirit helps people know God is real, and that when someone becomes a Christian, testifies to being a child of God.

According to a traditional understanding of this issue, animals can be seen to have souls - personalities specific to them - but do not possess the spirit of God that will go on into eternity the same way it is understood that humans will. Whether or not this means they will not be in Heaven is a different topic.

God is spirit. One of His persons in the Trinity is the Holy Spirit. Over and over again the Bible refers to God as spirit, even before the creation of the world. “The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters” (Genesis 1:2). When He breathed life into Adam, something He only did for humanity, He gave Adam a spirit, so that Adam could truly be in His likeness.

There are other spirits. Angels and demons exist in a spiritual capacity. They are eternal beings that wage spiritual warfare, obey or disobey God, and can make themselves present in the world, but are of it. The Bible encourages believers to use the Holy Spirit, prayer, the Bible, and discernment to evaluate both the spirit of other people, and sometimes potential supernatural spirits. “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world” (1 John 4:1).

What Does the Bible Say about the Spirit?

While there is no one passage in the Bible which defines what the spirit is, there are verses that discuss it. These verses include, but are not limited to:

Genesis 2:7 “Then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.”
Ecclesiastes 3:21 “Who knows whether the spirit of man goes upward and the spirit of the beast goes down into the earth?”
John 4:24 “God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”
Acts 7:59 “And as they were stoning Stephen, he called out, ‘Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.’”
Romans 8:16-17 “The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs — heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.”
1 Thessalonians 5:23 “Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Can the State of Our Spirit Change?

God’s spirit is perfect and unchanging; man’s spirit is influenced by sin, by struggles, by pain, and by situations. Throughout the Scriptures, the spirits of people are described in different states, often because it is constant battle with the flesh; “Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak” (Mark 14:38).

Paul encouraged believers in his letter to the Ephesians that a believer can have their spirit strengthened, “That according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith — that you, being rooted and grounded in love” (Ephesians 3:16-17). Ultimately, without God’s Spirit, all people will cave into the pressures of the world and the desires of the flesh. Through salvation and a relationship with the living God, the human spirit can be elevated, encouraged, and do the will of God.

The prophet Isaiah wrote about the encouragement of the human spirit:

“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint” (Isaiah 40:28-31).
Those who rely on the Spirit of God for nourishment, refreshment, and knowledge will always have their spirit replenished, because God is everlasting.

A Prayer to Love God with Your Whole Spirit

Holy Father,

Thank you for giving me life. I lift up my voice in praise for Your mighty hand and Your infinite creativity and wisdom. You gave me the breath of life, Your Spirit, and Your image. When I strayed away from You and sinned, You extended forgiveness and grace. You sent Jesus Christ to die in my place on the cross, to pay for my sins, so that I may have my sins blotted away. Thank you for sending the Holy Spirit to indwell me and to guide me.

Lord, please strengthen me through Your spirit, so that I may worship You and love You with my whole heart, spirit, and mind. My spirit is willing and eager to serve You, but my flesh is weak. I often do what I know is wrong, or I walk away from You, letting my relationship grow cold. I will stumble and fall, but You keep picking me up. Lord, I ask that you continue to keep me connected to You, strengthening my love for You. Help me to see You working and moving. I want to love You with my whole spirit Lord.

In Jesus’ name I pray,

Amen.

It can be confusing when trying to study the things that are eternal, ethereal, and impossible to see. Faith is an important part of the Christian life, but everyone wants to understand their own nature. The spirit is that gift of breath and life from God that experiences a relationship with Him now, and will go on into eternity to be with Him. Prayer for a strong spirit that is empowered by God will always be answered, and when the spirit is strengthened, every Christian can finish their race well.

Amen.

I would have preferred to hear in your own words what you believed spirit to be but thank you for answering.
In scripture there is our spirit - as in body, soul, and spirit (the spirit of man that is in man 1 Cor. 2:11); then there is the 'gift of holy spirit' - the gift from God, aka being born of the Spirit, aka born again (Acts 2:38) and of course, the Spirit of God, aka the Holy Spirit.

Again thanks.

Who are not the same . . . who communicate with each other?

Sorry, but it's just not very clear who/what you are talking about.

God is Plural in Persons. Hence we see the Plural pronouns below. God is also singular in Being hence the singular pronouns. Both Plural and Singular pronouns reflect the true nature of God as Tri-Personal, Trinity, Tri-Unity etc..... Christianity is Monotheistic just as Islam and Judaism are monotheistic. The Trinity is not Tri-Theism or Polytheism as the detractors like to say in misrepresenting what Christians believe.

Here are some references, allusions to the Plurality of God in the O.T.

Gen 1:26
Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;

Gen 3:22
Then the Lord God said, "Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil;

Gen 11:7
Come, let Us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other."

Gen 19:24
Then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven;

Isa 6:8
Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?

Isa 48:16
"Come near to Me, listen to this:
From the first I have not spoken in secret,
From the time it took place, I was there.
And now the Lord God has sent Me, and His Spirit."

Isa 61:1
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,
Because the Lord has anointed Me
To bring good news to the afflicted;
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to captives
And freedom to prisoners;

Ps 110:1
The Lord says to my Lord:
"Sit at My right hand
Until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet."

Zech 12:10
"And I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him, like the bitter weeping over a first-born.

Jesus is God, His words are Gods words, the very word of the Lord ( YHWH ) when Jesus speaks YHWH is speaking, to see Him is to see God.

We can see that there is only One Savior who is Lord from both the Old and New Testaments. We will see that the word Lord in many places is used in the book of Acts as an equivalent to God.

Yes those who deny the following are indeed deceived.

Isa 43:11
11
"I, even I, am the Lord,
And there is no savior besides Me.

Isa 45:21-23
Is it not I, the Lord?
And there is no other God besides Me,
A righteous God and a Savior;
There is none except Me
.
22"Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth;
For I am God, and there is no other.
23"I have sworn by Myself,
The word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness
And will not turn back,
That to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance.

Now lets focus on the Son as Christianity is Christ centered. As Paul declares he count all as dung to know Christ.

Below we see in fact it is the name of Jesus alone by which men must be saved. There is no other name which can save a man.

Acts 4:12
12
"And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved."

Here we see Stephen pray to Jesus as he was being stoned which would be forbidden if He were not God. We also see that Stephen was full of the Holy Spirit when he was praying to Jesus.

Acts 7:59-60
59
They went on stoning Stephen as he called on the Lord and said, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!" 60Then falling on his knees, he cried out with a loud voice, "Lord, do not hold this sin against them!" Having said this, he fell asleep.

Jesus is Lord(YHWH) of all with no exceptions

Acts 10:36
"The word which He sent to the sons of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ (He is Lord of all)

Acts 14:3
3
Therefore they spent a long time there speaking boldly with reliance upon the Lord, who was testifying to the word of His grace, granting that signs and wonders be done by their hands.

We see below that it was the name of Jesus whom they proclaimed as Lord. It was Jesus who was preached to the gentiles.

Acts 15:15-18
15
"With this the words of the Prophets agree, just as it is written,
16'AFTER THESE THINGS I will return,
AND I WILL REBUILD THE TABERNACLE OF DAVID WHICH HAS FALLEN,
AND I WILL REBUILD ITS RUINS,
AND I WILL RESTORE IT,
17SO THAT THE REST OF MANKIND MAY SEEK THE LORD,
AND ALL THE GENTILES WHO ARE CALLED BY MY NAME,'
18SAYS THE LORD, WHO MAKES THESE THINGS KNOWN FROM LONG AGO.

Acts 15:23-26
"The apostles and the brethren who are elders, to the brethren in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia who are from the Gentiles, greetings.
24"Since we have heard that some of our number to whom we gave no instruction have disturbed you with their words, unsettling your souls, 25it seemed good to us, having become of one mind, to select men to send to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, 26men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The phrase the word of God is synonymous with the word of the Lord(Jesus,YHWH)

Acts 15:35
But Paul and Barnabas stayed in Antioch, teaching and preaching with many others also, the word of the Lord.

Acts 16:14-15
14
A woman named Lydia, from the city of Thyatira, a seller of purple fabrics, a worshiper of God, was listening; and the Lord opened her heart to respond to the things spoken by Paul. 15And when she and her household had been baptized, she urged us, saying, "If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house and stay." And she prevailed upon us.

Below we see to believe in the Lord(Jesus) is the same as believing in God. In fact we see that they first believed in the Lord Jesus and later referred to that as believing in God therefore calling the Lord Jesus God !!

Acts 16:31-34
31
They said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household." 32And they spoke the word of the Lord to him together with all who were in his house. 33And he took them that very hour of the night and washed their wounds, and immediately he was baptized, he and all his household. 34And he brought them into his house and set food before them, and rejoiced greatly, having believed in God with his whole household.

So we can see that Jesus was preached in the book of Acts as the only One who can save men from their sins. We see He is indeed the Savior. We see He was prayed to under the power of the Holy Spirit and that Jesus answered prayer. They also called the word of God the word of the Lord making Jesus equal with God. We also see that those who believed in the Lord Jesus actually believed in God, therefor calling Jesus God.

Gods Word is Eternal

More proof Jesus is God. His words are eternal.

Mark 13:31

Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.

Psalms 119:160
All your words
are true;
all your righteous laws are eternal.

Isaiah 40:8
The grass withers, the flower fades,
But the word of our God stands forever.

Acts 13:44-50
And the next Sabbath nearly the whole city assembled to hear the word of God. 45 But when the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy, and began contradicting the things spoken by Paul, and were blaspheming. 46 And Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly and said, "It was necessary that the word of God should be spoken to you first; since you repudiate it, and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we are turning to the Gentiles. 47 "For thus the Lord has commanded us,

'I have placed You as a light for the Gentiles,
That You should bring salvation to the end of the earth.'"

48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord; and as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed. 49 And the word of the Lord was being spread through the whole region.

The word of the Lord(Jesus) is the word of God. More proof Jesus is God in Acts.

The word of the Lord, the word of Christ is the same as the word of God. The same God, the same Word as They are identical. The word of the Lord(Jesus) was spread throughout the book of Acts as the very word of God and they are used interchangeably in Acts. Below we see the word of the Lord = Jesus words are the very words of God. This can be said of no mere man but only a man who is also God as Scripture declares about Christ.

Colossians 3:16
Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you,

Romans 10:17
Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.

2 Thessalonians 3:1-3

Finally, brothers, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you. 2 And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men, for not everyone has faith. 3 But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.

1 Peter 1:23-25

For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. 24 For,

"All men are like grass,
and all their glory is like the flowers of the field;
the grass withers and the flowers fall,
25 but the word of the Lord stands forever."

And this is the word that was preached to you.

1-Can we say let the word of Paul richly dwell in you
2-Can we say let the word of Peter richly dwell in you
3-Can we say let the word of David richly dwell in you
4-Can we say let the word of Moses richly dwell in you

the answer to the above is a resounding NO you cannot say it.

But you can say let the word of God, the word of the Lord, the word of Christ richly dwell in you because they have the exact/identical meaning.

hope this helps !!!

Someone's words who are not God or Jesus remaining with someone doesn't only apply to God. Pleas study this carefully before continuing to mislead people.

2 Timothy 1
13Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. 14That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.

Proverbs 1
8My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
9For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.

Sorry, but it's just not very clear who/what you are talking about.
The human spirit and the Holy Spirit.

Youp human spirit connects to God for communication, basically through the Holy Spirit.

I think our human spirit (body, soul, spirit) is just a common part of us [that which is born of the flesh is flesh] which is why we must be born again [that which is born of the Spirit is spirit]. Being born again of the Spirit, aka receiving the gift of holy spirit ---- we are now partakers of the divine nature, which allows God to communicate with us. :)

The interesting thing about being born again is that it implies a second birth and necessitates a first death. So when was the first death? Just curious what your answer is. Normally I've asked that to Trinitarians before.
