The Hypostatic Union- the 2 Natures in Christ

[shrug] ... you are asking ME to explain GOD? Isn't that a bit above my pay grade?
no, READ the bible with the Pay MASTER, God himself, the Holy Spirit. and get paid with the truth.
I have observed that the ONE LORD in Genesis 1 is PLURAL when HE/THEY were creating and the FATHER (who is spirit) claims HE/THEY "formed" from dust and "breathed" into nostrils while it is the SON that ultimately had hands to form and a mouth to breathe.
are you walking by Faith or sight? listen, if the Lord Jesus who cannot LIE say only ONE PERSON was in Genesis 1:26 who made man male and females would you believe him? yes or no.

101G

listen, if the Lord Jesus who cannot LIE say only ONE PERSON was in Genesis 1:26 who made man male and females would you believe him? yes or no.
listen, if the Lord Jesus who cannot LIE said "I and my Father are one" and "Before Abraham was, I AM" would you believe him? yes or no.

... ONE GOD in three - Trinity in Unity.

101G did not ask you that, but to answer you, when the Lord Jesus said, "I and my Father are ONE", yes 101G agree, but the question is HOW HE AND THE FATHER ARE ONE.

now, let's just answer that question. the Lord Jesus said, Matthew 19:3 "The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?" Matthew 19:4 "And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female," did you get that? the Lord Jesus said, "GOD is a HE" who made man male and female. and he is ONE PERSON, for the Lord Jesus said, "Have ye not read". and if one can read it, then it is written. let's see it. Genesis 1:27 RIGHT AFTER VERSE 26, "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." ..... "he" and "his" are single person designations. as here in Genesis 1:27, and Matthews 19:4. if you're honest, (which 101G believe you are), then reason dictate one need to find out why God went from a plurality of US and OUR to a singularity of HE and HIS in one verse.

now if you are honest one need to know why. and find out who is really the US and the OUR in Genesis 1:26. and why this US and OUR is the HE, who is God as the Lord Jesus said, in Matthews 19:4

101G.

God said: Let US make man in OUR image after OUR likeness.

Notice the PLURAL ( not singular) pronouns.

Basic Grammar 101.

hope this helps !!!
God said, Matthew 19:4 "And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,"

@civic,
do you believe the Lord Jesus LIED when he said, " he which made them at the beginning made them male and female" yes or no?

and is it not written that "he" a single person made man male and female in Genesis 1:27 yes or no?

nope, you ran away from Genesis 1:27. but 101G will address Genesis 1:26 First, and answer it here is that address.

only one person made man male and female, and the plurality in 1:26 is the ONE person Jesus in an ECHAD of First/Father/LORD and creator. and in that ECHAD, Last/Son/Lord and Redeemer that was to come. (smile). and to explain this is in scriptures. Listen and Learn. First and Last.... Word and God. Isaiah 41:4 "Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the first, and with the last; I am he."
see that "WITH" in the verse just as the "WITH" in John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." now the revelation. Isaiah 48:12 "Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last."
"ALSO" means, "in addition; too". God is in addition to being the First/"LORD"/Father/Creator/Root, he is ... "ALSO" the Last/"Lord"/Son/Redeemer/offspring.... that was to come. my God this is plain as day. God who is a single person was to come in flesh and redeem all that he had created. this is done in TIME, PLACE, ORDER, and RANK. just as Genesis 1:1 term "beginning"...

and as this happen in time, scripture, Isaiah 46:10 "Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:" in the END TIMES God in flesh came, which is the ECHAD of himself in the EQUAL SHARE of himself, Per Phil. 2:6.

so the US and the OUR was to come...... this is called prophecy. that which was to come.

so, just as the First and the Last in Isaiah is ..... "ALSO" the same ONE person in the EQUAL SHARE/the ECHAD, likewise the Word is God the same one person, as stated in John 1:1.

now, 101G not only addressed your question, but also answered it.

hope this help.... in much GL.

Evasion on , scripture , basic grammar and plural pronouns
Evasion, or your EXCUSE. 101G gave scriptures that explain the US and the OUR.... by scripture. 101G suggest you read post #1409 again... :p

now can you explain the US and the OUR by scriptures, in respond to my post #1409?

you have the floor.

Prophecy or not, you still have plurality in the expression. You're ignoring this fact. You have God becoming something He previously never was.

Error, on your understanding. Listen real Good, there is a plurality of of of of, ONE PERSON. one person in the ECHAD of oneself. and this is by "EQUALLY SHARGIING" ..... "WITH" .... in which 101G challenge you to UNDERSTAND.

since you and many others are caught up on a plurality of many as a separate and distinct persons, one better consider what the Lord Jesus said at Matthews 19:4. , and what is printed in Genesis 1:27. now 101G explained this plurality of ONE PERSON. and if you disagree, then place your scriptures on the table and lets discuss it.

101G

P.S. before we discuss, 101G suggest you get acquainted with the Hebrew term H7225 רֵאשִׁית, "Beginning" in Genesis 1:1 and 259 ECHAD in Deuteronomy 6:4. and the last term to understand is G243 Allos in the Greek, which identify the plurality clearly. for this Greek word, use the Vine's Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words .

Just bluster from you. Plurality includes references that have a singular focus.

Again. You're insisting that God isn't Eternal and that He has changed relative to relationship.
So try again. You said nothing that changes this.

ERROR, my God how IGNORANT Christians are. 101G started not to answer, but next time back up any opinion with scripture, or at least a definition. listen and LEARN, remember 101G told you to understand the term G243 ALLOS? Another: Source the W.E. Vine Dictionary. John 14:16 "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;"
G243 Allos. Allos expresses a numerical difference and denotes another of the same sort;"

G2087 heteros expresses a qualitative difference and denotes "another" of a different sort."

both Greek terms Identify a singularity as "ANOTHER". one in a Plurality of the same ..... "SORT". the other a singularity of a DIFFERENT SORT.

once you can understand this then we can talk scripture. now if you cannot understand by scriptures, there is no used for you to contuine.

Speak plainly. As we have discussed before, you're basically "Jesus Only/Oneness".

what you reference as "allos" is first found in Genesis 15:4

Gen 15:4 And, behold, the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.

It is very clear that "allos" creates a distinction.

first ERROR, Jesus Only in "Diversified Oneness". please remember that ... ok.

no, this is just what 101G is speaking of, try Psalms 110:1 and 5. my God.
It is very clear that "allos" creates a distinction.

Here is a more full explanation of why I reject the hypostatic union:

thanks, but a question, you said, "I believe God is one being containing or pertaining to three individual personalities such that whatever makes up the three does indeed separate the oneness without completely losing it.". ok good, question time. "How much of the ONE Spirit was G2758 κενόω kenoo (ke-no-ō') for the one person called the Son who came in flesh?" was it 1/3 of the Spirit, or what? scripture, Philippians 2:7 "But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:"

your reply please.
