Rapture Ready

Victory is claimed by both pre-tribers and post-tribuers because of the exegetical support this passage lends to their interpretation.

Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth. Revelation 3:10

It is true that Revelation 3:10 is the crucial verse. It is the veritable watershed of the Tribulation tension. If one side can demonstrate incontrovertibly that it supports their position, then the Tribulation controversy will be over.

Unfortunately, that has not yet occurred.

Your quest for TRUTH on this subject is Granted TODAY from the HOLY SPIRIT via the Holy Scriptures - 1 Thess 4:13-18

But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope.

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.

For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God.
And the dead in Christ will rise first.

AFTER that we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.
And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
Therefore comfort one another with these words.

Scripturally, the pretribulational view has much to commend it. For example, the church is not appointed to wrath (1 Thessalonians 1:9-10, 5:9), and believers will not be overtaken by the Day of the Lord (1 Thessalonians 5:1-9). The church of Philadelphia was promised to be kept from “the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world” (Revelation 3:10). Note that the promise is not preservation through the trial but deliverance from the hour, that is, from the time period of the trial. GOT?

Not an idol, But It Is The Word Of Truth, Rightly Divided!:

God's Great GRACE Departure!

We have not met - yet - but we will soon

We are not enemies for we are BRETHREN if you are in CHRIST = and i am not doubting your Salvation

When "rightly dividing the Scriptures" you MUST keep yourself under HIS commandments = Matthew 4:4 and Proverbs 30:5-6

SHALOM in the TRUTH = "Thy Word is TRUTH"

PURE GOSPEL TRUTH = the church is not appointed to wrath (1 Thessalonians 1:9-10, 5:9), and believers will not be overtaken by the Day of the Lord (1 Thessalonians 5:1-9).

This Promise to the Philadelphian saints is CONDITIONAL and it does not include any promise of a pre-trib rapture!!!

God will preserve ONLY those saints that meet HIS Criteria and HE will "KEEP" them as HE "KEPT" Noah, Daniel and Job as well as Shadrach Meshack and Abednego and many others.

All saints are subject to satan's wrath = Revelation

And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, 8but they [a]did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. 9So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

10Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. 11And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. 12Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.”

Now when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male Child. 14But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent. 15So the serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood. 16But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. 17And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus [c]Christ.

Your starting to catch on. the pretribulational view seems to be the most in keeping with God’s character and His desire to deliver the righteous from the judgment of the world. Biblical examples of God’s salvation include Noah, who was delivered from the worldwide flood; Lot, who was delivered from Sodom; and Rahab, who was delivered from Jericho.

All you have to do is drop the "pre" from Tribulation AND agree with Matt ch24, 1 Thess 4:13-18 and 1 Cor ch15

We are in Tribulation now/today and it will soon become GREAT when the Antichrist makes His Debut.

and to wait for His Son from Heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.

pre-fibbers love to ignore and discredit the words of God in order to protect their idol
Actually, we "pre-tribbers" depend entirely on the whole word, from Genesis to Revelation, and YHVH's cleansing of our idols, so we'll be ready to go when he comes for his Bride.

Gen 18:23 WEB Abraham came near, and said, “Will you consume the righteous with the wicked?

Eze 36:25-27 WEB 25 I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. 26 I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. 27 I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes. You will keep my ordinances and do them.

1Th 5:9 WEB For God didn’t appoint us to wrath, but to the obtaining of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,

Luk 21:34-36 WEB 34 “So be careful, or your hearts will be loaded down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day will come on you suddenly. 35 For it will come like a snare on all those who dwell on the surface of all the earth. 36 Therefore be watchful all the time, praying that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will happen, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

If Jesus wasn't going to take his people away from the worst period of human history, why would he make that statement?

#1 - You are not a "pre-tribber" BECAUSE you are a Born-Again saint washed by the Precious Blood of Christ = unless i am mistaken???

#2- As a "son of God" you and i will experience tribulation and if we were in a hostile country, we would be experiencing GREAT Tribulation.

#3 - As a "son of God" we are NOT appointed to God's WRATH but we will experience satan's wrath = coming soon to the USA unless we repent

The Bible does not give an explicit time line concerning future events. Scripture does not expressly teach one view over another, and that is why we have diversity of opinion concerning the end times and some variety on how the related prophecies should be harmonized.

I'm a Premillennial-pretribulational kind of guy. But neither a pretribulation rapture nor a posttribulation rapture has found unanimous acceptance with Bible scholars.

FALSE

JESUS told us when to expect His Return

3Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”

4And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for [a]all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8All these are the beginning of sorrows.

9“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

#1 - You are not a "pre-tribber" BECAUSE you are a Born-Again saint washed by the Precious Blood of Christ = unless i am mistaken???
It wouldn't apply to me if i wasn't a blood washed, spiritually regenerated, born again saint, and adopted child of God in Christ.
So, by focusing diligently on learning to follow Jesus and prepare myself for his coming, that's why I'm a "pre-tribber."

#2- As a "son of God" you and i will experience tribulation and if we were in a hostile country, we would be experiencing GREAT Tribulation.
Ok. This is different.

The tribulations/persecution of the godly are NOT the same as the great tribulation.
These are two completely different things.
Yes. All who live godly in Christ will suffer persecution.

2Ti 3:12 WEB Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

Jesus is explicitly stating that we can escape the trouble coming on the earth.

Luk 21:34-36 WEB 34 “So be careful, or your hearts will be loaded down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day will come on you suddenly. 35 For it will come like a snare on all those who dwell on the surface of all the earth. 36 Therefore be watchful all the time, praying that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will happen, and to stand before the Son of Man.

#3 - As a "son of God" we are NOT appointed to God's WRATH but we will experience satan's wrath = coming soon to the USA unless we rerepent!

And what about those of us who are living godly through faith in Jesus?

We pray regularly, read daily, fellowship with other like minded people who likewise trust in Jesus. We engage in talking to others about Jesus so they too can escape their sin, and unrighteousness.

It's pretty clear to me that you're conflating the two things.

I have never not understood that by trusting, and following Jesus, by speaking the truth, I'd suffer for his namesake.

He will however remove his church who are faithful, from the final seven year period of human history for two primary reasons.

1- that period of time is about God finishing the last seven of the 70 sevens decreed to Israel. Everything written in the prophets will be fulfilled by God.

2- judgment on a Christ rejecting world, to wake them up, and give them one last shot to turn to him from their sin and place their trust in Jesus. Because once he returns, and sets up judgment of the nations at the valley of jehoshaphat, that's it.
The sheep will enter the kingdom of God for the 1000 year reign and the goats will enter hell.

My questions becomes....

If you are being offered the wherewithal to escape the tribulation period (the great tribulation described in Matthew 24, Luke 21, Mark 13, 2 Thess. 2, Revelation 5-19), would you want to?
Or would you prefer living through the darkest, worst, most evil period of human history?

Based on the 7 letters to the 7 churches in Revelation 2-3, it appears that members of Thyatira who refuse to repent will go through it.
Members of Philadelphia appear to escape it altogether, because they're faithful to Jesus.

Based on Luke 21:34-36, it appears that we can escape it.
1 Thess. 4:13-5:9, Paul is encouraging us to be faithful.

In Titus 2:11-14, Grace is teaching us. In vs 13, Grace is teaching us to look forward to the coming of Jesus.

In vs 15, Paul is telling us to guard it.

As for me, I'm focusing on being ready for his return, whenever it happens. The "pre-trib" view includes all the Bible.

Christ said he spoke to all when he said to be alert and the day comes like a thief in the night.

"Be-Readyism" is the best eschatology. All these endless complicated terms and arguments just dilute that simple message.

Anyone that tells you it's all over, know that they contradict Christ.

Pity you failed to recognize the second part of that verse. I notice too that you missed that he's inviting us to be diligent in seeking him, to ensure we escape.

JESUS is NOT promising, in any way, a pre-trib rapture = SEE Proverbs 30:5-6
Thank you for ignoring the rest of the references I provided.
You really should read Proverbs 30:5-6.

Let's help.

Pro 30:5-6 WEB 5 “Every word of God is flawless. He is a shield to those who take refuge in him. 6 Don’t you add to his words, lest he reprove you, and you be found a liar.

I didn't add.

You have however removed.

@DavidTree
Are an "explicit time line" and "when to expect His Return" the same?
Man's average lifespan here on earth is 75 years.

Not everyone will live that long and no one knows the "day or hour" when his/her time is up = no one but the LORD

JESUS spoke of two "timings" of His Coming
a.) When your time is up
b.) His Second Coming

BOTH a & b have a explicit timeline

Shalom

So they asked Him, saying, “Teacher, but when will these things be? And what sign will there be when these things are about to take place?”

8And He said: “Take heed that you not be deceived. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He,’ and, ‘The time has drawn near.’ [d]Therefore do not [e]go after them. 9But when you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified; for these things must come to pass first, but the end will not come immediately.”

10Then He said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. 11And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven. 12But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons. You will be brought before kings and rulers for My name’s sake. 13But it will turn out for you as an occasion for testimony. 14Therefore settle it in your hearts not to meditate beforehand on what you will [f]answer; 15for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist. 16You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers, relatives and friends; and they will put some of you to death. 17And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. 18But not a hair of your head shall be lost. 19By your patience possess your souls.

“But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. 21Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. 22For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. 23But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people. 24And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

“And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; 26men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”

At this point, verse 28, the Lord Jesus Christ STOPS and begins anew with a parable in verse 29

Then He spoke to them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. 30When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near. 31So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near. 32Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place. 33Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

At this point, verse 33, the Lord ENDS His parable just as HE ended His dissertation of His 2nd Coming in verse 28

Now beginning in verse 34 JESUS focuses on daily temptations that can dissuade us from following Him to the end of our life

But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. 35For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

JESUS separates and articulates the daily temptations that are able to cause us to fall away from the Faith
Your life and mine is very short and this is the focus of verses 34-36

Nothing was added and nothing was removed
