What is The Rapture?

Look at The promise of Revelation 3:10

One of the best promises guaranteeing the church’s rapture before the Tribulation appears in Revelation 3:10. As you read it, keep in mind that it is one of our Lord’s own promises:

Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.

This text represents Christ’s message to one of His seven churches, the church at Philadelphia. It must transcend the one little church of Asia to which He wrote, for the church at Philadelphia has long been extinct, and the hour “which shall come upon the whole world” has not yet come.
Excellent scripture and Rev 3:10 is 100% Truth

Now apply Rev3:10/Truth to the same Truth in 1 Thess 4:13-18

As its name suggests, pre-tribulationism teaches that the rapture of the church will occur just before the start of the tribulation.

I love all those scriptures. …but where does it say anything about a rapture 7 yesrs before Jesus returns? Could you show me where it says such as that? Thanks.

Look at the very first one.

Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell on the earth. Revelation 3:10

The trial that is coming is the 7-year tribulation.

The church will be removed from the earth in an event called the rapture (1 Thessalonians 4:13–18; 1 Corinthians 15:51–53). In this way, the church is saved from the wrath to come (1 Thessalonians 5:9).

GOT?

Hi, Richard. The hour of temptation is that "hour" when the "Tempter" (Satan) is here as the false-christ claiming to be the Messiah. This happens at the 6th trump. Jesus comes at the 7th trump after the Antichrist has been doing his dirty deeds.

Also, it’s us Christians who do the enduring. See, God’s not mad at us who have the seal of God in our foreheads.

Revelation 3:10 (NKJV) “Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.

We gospel-armored Christians don’t need to be scared of the tribulation. God has our back during this time.

Revelation 9:1-4 (NKJV) 1 Then the fifth angel sounded: And I saw a star fallen from heaven to the earth. To him was given the key to the bottomless pit. 2 And he opened the bottomless pit, and smoke arose out of the pit like the smoke of a great furnace. So the sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke of the pit. 3 Then out of the smoke locusts came upon the earth. And to them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. 4 They were commanded not to harm the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads.

We will raptured to be with Jesus before the tribulation, so no fear for us.

… continued @Richard

Also notice that the hour of temptation comes to the whole world—Christians, too. That’s us!
We will be keep from it. That's us!!

Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.
Revelation 3:10 NKJV

Jesus' words make it clear that the church will not go through the hour of trial, a reference to the "tribulation," a seven-year period of intense earthly distress and the subject of much of the book of Revelation. The Greek word translated "from" is ek, meaning "out of." Unlike other forms of hardship, where God promises to be with us, or to keep us "through" or "in" those times of difficulty, the church will be kept out of the tribulation. If the church were destined to be kept through the tribulation, the Greek word dia, meaning "through," could have been used.

Further, Jesus said the hour of trial is coming on the whole world, not on the church. The judgments unleashed in the tribulation will fall on "those who dwell on the earth"; that is, on those whose home is the world, not heaven. Jesus will take Christians out of the world before the tribulation begins, in an event known as the rapture.

Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God.
Romans 5:9

@Hosanna = Pre-trib rapture is a a direct lie against the words of the LORD Jesus Christ

John 16:33 - JESUS Says: "In the world you will have tribulation......be of good cheer for I have overcome the world."

The Apostles Say: 1 Thessalonians 3:1-5
Therefore, when we could no longer endure it, we thought it good to be left in Athens alone, and sent Timothy, our brother and minister of God, and our fellow laborer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you and encourage you concerning your faith, that no one should be shaken by these afflictions; for you yourselves know that we are appointed to this. For, in fact, we told you before when we were with you that we would suffer tribulation, just as it happened, and you know.
For this reason, when I could no longer endure it, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter had tempted you, and our labor might be in vain.

@Hosanna,
Every soul that denounces pre-trib rapture turns away from a lie and turns toward the Lord Jesus Christ.

@Larry

We’ll still be here. Consider…

Revelation 2:10-11 (NKJV) 10 “Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw [some] of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. 11 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.” ’

Mark 13:9-13 (NKJV) 9 “But watch out for yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils, and you will be beaten in the synagogues. You will be brought before rulers and kings for My sake, for a testimony to them. 10 “And the gospel must first be preached to all the nations. 11 “But when they arrest [you] and deliver you up, do not worry beforehand, or premeditate what you will speak. But whatever is given you in that hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit. 12 “Now brother will betray brother to death, and a father [his] child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death. 13 “And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

.

It means that Christians who have the seal of God will not be tempted by the Tempter, i.e. Satan.

Right because we will be Raptured. The pre-turbulation rapture will keep Christians from the hour of trial. In other words, the Rapture and Christ’s Second Coming (to set up His kingdom) are separated by at least seven years. The church does not experience any of the Tribulation.

Christians are not wimps; they’re strong and courageous in Christ. This the time when we shine!
