Praying to Jesus

I have a thread on that topic which ties it into the spirit of antichrist which cross-references 1 John 4:2-3 with 2 John 1:7.
Antichrist is exactly that I was thinking about. It also makes you think about the Unpardonable sin. I think it Is saying Jesus is not who he said he was.
He is The King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:10-11

“Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, the LORD himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation” (Isaiah 12:2).

There are no examples of the word "pray" or "prayer" being used in conjunction with communicating to Jesus.

The Bible teaches to pray to God the Father. That's it.

Matthew 6
6But when you pray, go into your inner room, shut your door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
9So then, this is how you should pray:
‘Our Father in heaven,

hallowed be Your name.

Before Jesus was taken to heaven, he taught his disciples to not ask him for anything because he isn't the one to pray to in Scripture.

John 16
23In that day you will no longer ask Me anything. Truly, truly, I tell you, whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you.

Jesus taught to pray to the Father in Matthew 6:6,9. Before Jesus was taken to heaven, he gave instructions on prayer and said to not ask him for anything, but rather ask the Father in John 16:23. When they prayed to the Sovereign Lord and Creator in Acts 4:24-27 it wasn't to Jesus.

Imagine a book that only teaches about praying to the Father, but never to Jesus. Sounds like Jesus isn't God.

Here we go again - legalism is rearing its ugly head.

Jesus did NOT COMMAND us to not question Him. He is saying that since the Father Himself loves us John 16:27, that we can speak directly to Him.

In fact, if you really want to be legalistic, then recognize that He only told us that we would no longer ASK Him anything. That still allows talking to Him, worshiping Him, singing to Him. So you can keep your legalistic mindset and STILL DO those things - Unless of course Big Brother Watchtower Society forbids it.

Nice try " GOD " is not in the Greek manuscript but added by the KJ translators. Another ERROR from the KJV.

So calling on God is equated with calling on the Lord Jesus? Hmmm. Sounds like Jesus is God.

The Jesus "of the Bible" teaches that His God and my God is Greater than HE. And HE, my High Priest and Lord, sent to me by His Father, said to me "After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name". I understand that this world God placed me in, have created their own gods and I am warned by the Christ, the Rock of Israel who became mortal man, against worshipping them as the masses worship them. I have seen a popular image of God in the likeness of a long haired, very handsome man, created and worshipped by this world's religions. They even created a couple of their own high days in worship of this image. But the Jesus "of the Bible" told me to worship His Father which is a Spirit, and explained how to worship Him, who to pray to and how to pray to Him, and HE warned me about "MANY" who call Him Lord, Lord, but are not "Doers" of His Sayings, and also about "Many" deceivers who come in His Name who would work to turn me away from obedience to His Father and my Father, even as the same spirit tried to turn Him away from obedience to the same Father.

This same Jesus is most certainly an immortal God now, as HE was before coming in the flesh, and has been raised by God and given a body we cannot yet know about, as HE is the first mortal human being to ever be given such a body, or as HE is called in the Holy Scriptures, "The First Fruit" of many. And HE is now standing on the Right hand of His Father, in the Kingdom of His Father, advocating between me and His Father to this very day.

Because I believe all that is written in the Holy scriptures that the Jesus "of the Bible" teaches me to "Live By", as they are Inspired by the God and Father of the Lord's Christ Himself, I am labeled by "many" who come in His Name, a legalist, or even an anti-Christ. But I am not discouraged because the Jesus "of the Bible" told me that if I followed Him and became a "Doer" of His Sayings, and denied the gods of the land God placed me in, I would be hated and slandered because of my belief in His Father and His Words, in the same way HE was hated and slandered for trusting in the Words of the same God in the same world God placed Him in.

It is clearly evident, in my 30 years of experience, that this Jesus "of the Bible" speaks the truth in that regard.

I will, by patience continuance in well doing, as defined by God, seek for glory and honor and immortality, to know the One True God that the Jesus "of the Bible" said to know is eternal life, and to know His Only Begotten Son, who is standing on the Right Hand of His father and my Father, advocating between me and His God and my God even now.

And I wait for His Return, and the Reward HE brings, "to give every man according as his work shall be".

Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

I don't see it that way. It would be like saying Jesus was being legalistic for praying the way he said to pray. I think you just wanted to pray to Jesus and are trying to find a way to justify it.

Question. I assume you are a Christian. So why not just follow Jesus' teachings? Seems like only one or two, including myself, here wants to pray the way Jesus prayed or the way he taught.

What the Bible says about Denying that Jesus was God in the Flesh
(From Forerunner Commentary)

1 John 2:22-23

The denial "that Jesus is the Christ" does not imply that the Docetists thought Jesus was not the Messiah. Rather, the Docetists claimed that Jesus—the Man whom John had heard, seen and touched—was not truly God in the flesh and that the true Christ was an ethereal being in heaven. John argues that such a teaching denies the family relationship of the Father and the Son, obscuring the true nature of God.

Furthermore, John writes, anyone who denies that Jesus was God in the flesh, subject to temptation just like all human beings, "does not have the Father either." Such a person simply does not understand the gospel message that we have the opportunity to become members of the God Family (I John 3:1-2). Jesus says, "He who has seen Me has seen the Father" (John 14:9). If we distort the image of Jesus Christ and who He was, we end up altering our concept of the Father also.
Nothing in the Bible says Jesus is God in the flesh. I believe you are beginning with an opinion and then attaching it to Scripture. Personally, I believe it's not a good premise. Given Jesus' denials of being God, it somewhat suggests you are saying Jesus is anti-Christ. It's not a good look.

Really? How is he so undesirable that you should disdain him? Because he disagrees.? Call it whatever you like, it is a very unbecoming way to speak about him. Doesn't matter how many friends you have.. But are you stopping him from association because you are tired of arguing. you can still like someone and be tired of arguing. How is he going to make your life undesirable? You dont have to be friends with everyone, but if you get angry with someone, you need to stop and question that spirit of anger.
I am not angry. I exposed him for who he is and for what he represents. True friends will build you up and will reinforce and strengthen your values whether they are spiritual, physical, emotional or otherwise. True friends will always be there for you no matter the circumstances in life. True friends will strengthen your pathway in life by sharing things in a gracious manner to make you a better person. Undesirable friends will do exactly the polar opposite. We need to be discerning about the people we let into our life's.

The Memorare Prayer to the Blessed Virgin

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection,
implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you,
O Virgin of virgins, my Mother.
To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions,
but in your mercy hear and answer me.
Amen.

Prayer to Mother Mary for Protection

We fly to your protection, most holy Mother of God; please listen to our petitions and needs, and deliver us from all dangers, ever glorious and blessed Virgin Mary.

Mary, our model and mother, by your obedience and patience you have taught us how to be true children of God. Please help us by your powerful assistance to overcome all our weaknesses, and to fulfill perfectly our tasks in life.
By your compassionate aid may we ever stand in spirit with you beneath the cross of Christ so that we may also rejoice with you in your divine Son’s triumphant victory over sin and death.

In your maternal kindness help us to be faithful to prayers in the company of God’s Church as you were one with the Apostles in the upper room as you waited for the promised Spirit of Pentecost.

With your gracious assistance may we be near you in the glory of Christ’s kingdom come to sing with you and all the faithful the eternal praise of God. Amen.

Lead: O Mary, conceived without sin,

Morning Prayer to Mother Mary

My queen, my mother,
I offer myself to you.
And to show my devotion to you,
I offer you this day, my eyes,
my ears, my mouth, my heart,
my whole being without reserve.
Wherefore, good Mother, as I am your own,
Keep me, guard me as thy property and possession.

Act of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

O most pure heart of Mary, full of goodness, show your love towards us. Let the flame of your heart, O Mary, descend on all people. We love you im- mensely. Impress on our hearts true love so that we may long for you. O Mary, gentle and humble of heart, remember us when we sin. You know that all people sin. Grant that through your most pure and motherly heart, we may be healed from every spiritual sickness. Grant that we may always experience the goodness of your motherly heart, and that through the flame of your heart we may be converted. Amen.

The Magnificat (Canticle of Mary)

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant.
From this day all generations will call me blessed:
the Almighty has done great things for me,
and holy is His Name.
He has mercy on those who fear him
in every generation.
He has shown the strength of his arm,
he has scattered the proud in their conceit.
He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,
and has lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things,
and the rich he has sent away empty.
He has come to the help of his servant Israel
for he has remembered his promise of mercy,
the promise he made to our fathers,
to Abraham and his children forever.
Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.

Regina Caeli (Queen of Heaven)

V. Queen of Heaven, rejoice, alleluia.
R. For He whom you did merit to bear, alleluia.
V. Has risen, as he said, alleluia.
R. Pray for us to God, alleluia.
V. Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary, alleluia.
R. For the Lord has truly risen, alleluia.
Let us pray. O God, who gave joy to the world through the resurrection of Thy Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, grant we beseech Thee, that through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, His Mother, we may obtain the joys of everlasting life. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

A Prayer to the Heart of Mary

O Heart of Mary, Mother of God, and our Mother, most amiable Heart,
object of the complacency of the most adorable Trinity,
and worthy of all the veneration and affection of Angels and men;
Heart most conformable to that of Jesus,
of which you are the most perfect likeness;
Heart full of goodness and compassion for our miseries,
vouchsafe to melt our frozen hearts,
and grant that they may be entirely turned
towards the Heart of our Divine Savior.
Infuse into them the love of your virtues;
inflame them with that sacred fire with which you continually burn.
Take under your protection the Holy Catholic Church;
defend it,and be always its consolation, its asylum
and its invincible fortress against every assault of its enemies.
Be our way to come to Jesus, and the channel through which
we receive all graces necessary for our salvation.
Be our help in our wants, our relief under afflictions,
our comfort in temptations, our refuge in persecutions,
and our support in all dangers;
but especially in our last conflict at the time of death,
when all the powers of hell will use their utmost endeavors
to seize our souls in that awful moment, in that terrible crisis,
on which depends our eternal lot.
At that time, O most pious Virgin,
make us experience the sweetness of your maternal Heart,
and the efficacy of your influence with Jesus,
your all-powerful Son, by opening unto us,
a secure refuge in the source itself of mercy, a secure refuge,
that we may enjoy the happiness of blessing Him in Heaven for all eternity.
Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady of Fatima

O Most Holy Virgin Mary, Queen of the most holy Rosary, you were pleased to appear to the children of Fatima and reveal a glorious message. We implore you, inspire in our hearts a fervent love for the recitation of the Rosary. By meditating on the mysteries of the redemption that are recalled therein may we obtain the graces and virtues that we ask, through the merits of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer.

Prayer for Healing to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal

Mary Immaculate, you have given yourself to us as Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. You have asked us to pray with confidence, and we will receive great graces. We know your compassion, because you saw your Son suffer and die for us. In your union with his suffering you became the mother of us all.
Mary, my mother teach me to understand my suffering as you do and to endure it in union with the suffering of Jesus. In your motherly love, calm my fears and increase my trust in God’s loving care.
According to God’s plan, obtain for me the healing I need. Intercede with your Son that I may have the strength I need to work for God’s glory and the salvation of the world.
Amen.
Mary, health of the sick, pray for us.

Prayer to Mother Mary for Family

O Mary, loving Mother of Jesus, and our Mother, pray to Jesus for our family, for all the families of the world, to guard the cradle of the newborn, the schools of the young, and their vocations.
Blessed Saint Joseph, holy guardian of Jesus and Mary, assist us by your prayers in all the necessities of life. Ask of Jesus that special grace which He granted to you, to watch over our home at the pillow of the sick and dying, so that with Mary and you, heaven may find our family unbroken in the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Amen.

whatever prayer...is made...then hear in heaven...for You alone know the hearts of all the sons of men.

Only God fully knows the hearts of all, so only God is the proper recipient of prayer.
