Jesus denied being God

Then how can you say that "my word was me" if you are a living being? We teach children in the first grade that words are not alive. I should not have to tell you that.
The Bible was written like that. It was not written the way you talk today. In those days they wrote like that. Proverbs talks about "wisdom" as being alive and it's given gender as a female. That does not mean wisdom is another person. That's how they wrote in those days.

First you got nailed for promoting childish words, now you're trying to save face by criticizing those who wrote the Bible. Everybody's guilty except you. That's the slippery slope that heresy leads to. The sooner you realize that the better for you.

I can say that in my beginning there was my word, and my word was with me, and my word was me. And that does not make my words a living thing. Only a fool would think my words were another me.
You did nothing to create anything and you are not God

Are you denying a personal God?

I must have missed something. When was I nailed and when was I criticized?

Proverbs is poetry and John 1 is not

You have no warrant for treating it as such

I don't see the word God in John 8:58. You are simply interpreting it to mean such when in fact it doesn't actually say any such things. Scripture doesn't lie, but people do. I believe you are misunderstanding John 8:58. Jesus never directly said he is God. Honest people all admit this.

We have plenty, not the time to reveal this to you @Peterlag.

There is not one verse that says Jesus is God the Son. Nor has there ever been a teaching on it anywhere in the Bible. The Jews never saw it anywhere in the entire Old Testament nor anyone in the New Testament ever taught it. The Catholics who invented this nonsense have used only about 8 verses that they have to piece together from statements that are scattered all over the New Testament. One should think if such nonsense was true and important that it would have been taught by someone. And it is not.

You would be one of the first to pick up a stone when Jesus declared in no uncertain terms the following:

58 Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.

Those crazy Catholics were teasing the idea of multiple persons of the Godhead for decades and even centuries before the time of Christ. Those Catholics sure get around to many eras using their time machines. Or is it just one time machine that they share?

Actually Multiple verses exist showing Jesus is God

You just do not believe scripture

John 1:1 (LEB) — 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 20:28 (LEB) — 28 Thomas answered and said to him, “My Lord and my God!”

Titus 2:13 (LEB) — 13 looking forward to the blessed hope and the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,

2 Peter 1:1 (LEB) — 1 Simeon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have obtained a faith equal in value to ours by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 9:6 (LEB) — 6 For a child has been born for us; a son has been given to us. And the dominion will be on his shoulder, and his name is called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

If there is a trinity then why not just come out and say it? Why do we have to jump all over the Bible cutting and pasting pieces of words that are scattered all over the Bible? Why not just teach it? I know enough about how the Bible is written in the New Testament and in the Gospels to know if there was a trinity it would have been taught. The Gospels would have clearly said...

Verily, verily I say unto you that I am Jesus and I'm also God.

The Epistles would have writings like...

Yay, I Paul do testify that Jesus who is God came down from heaven to be a man for us. And we do know and testify that this same Jesus who you crucified is God. And so let us bow our knee to the one and only true God-Man Jesus Christ.

And yet there's nothing like that anywhere. Not in the Old or New Testament. Not even one complete verse like that.

The trinity is Pagan and was around long before the Catholics brought it to the Christian church and anyone who knows history knows it.

Yes the supporting information in the Bible is completely absent about the Trinity.

No one is going to be judged for rejecting what was never offered. I can't say, but making God out to be someone or something He never said He is could be a problem. I wouldn't want to test it.

You come up with stuff I have never thought about. That no one will be judged for rejecting what was never there. What I think is even worse than making God out to be something He never was is not knowing who the Christ is.

I was just wondering how the Catholics implanted the triune conception of God all throughout the Old Testament.
The Jews never saw a trinity. And they never taught one. You have to either take the verse or word out of context, not understand the cultural it was written in, or you're reading from a bad translation if you think you see a trinity in the Old Testament.

so you are saying that Jews finding multiple persons of God as failing to understand their scriptures and culture. Everyone must be wrong for you to be right. That is quite an exclusionary view to take.
