Irresistible Grace

The power to salvation is in the gospel

John 20:31 (NASB 95) — 31 but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name.

Romans 10:17 (LEB) — 17 Consequently, faith comes by hearing, and hearing through the word about Christ.

2 Timothy 3:15 (LEB) — 15 and that from childhood you have known the holy writings that are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 2:13 (NASB 95) — 13 For this reason we also constantly thank God that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but for what it really is, the word of God, which also performs its work in you who believe.

Romans 10:6–14 (NASB 95) — 6 But the righteousness based on faith speaks as follows: “DO NOT SAY IN YOUR HEART, ‘WHO WILL ASCEND INTO HEAVEN?’ (that is, to bring Christ down), 7 or ‘WHO WILL DESCEND INTO THE ABYSS?’ (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).” 8 But what does it say? “THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, 9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; 13 for “WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.” 14 How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?

Romans 1:16 (NASB 95) — 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

1 Timothy 1:14–16 (NASB 95) — 14 and the grace of our Lord was more than abundant, with the faith and love which are found in Christ Jesus. 15 It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all. 16 Yet for this reason I found mercy, so that in me as the foremost, Jesus Christ might demonstrate His perfect patience as an example for those who would believe in Him for eternal life.

It's the faith of man that God blesses with eternal life

Grace is Gods Power working effectually to make someone a believer. Eph 3:7
Sorry but your claim is a falsehood

The power to salvation is in the gospel per God in his word.

That you continually deny God's word is a sad reality.

Im insisting that Grace is irresistible when it comes to Salvation, its Gods Power and it converts unto God, gives Faith in Christ Eph 3:7

: 7 whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.

The word made γίνομαι:

  1. to become, i.e. to come into existence, begin to be, receive being
  2. to become, i.e. to come to pass, happen
    1. of events
  3. to arise, appear in history, come upon the stage
    1. of men appearing in public
  4. to be made, finished
    1. of miracles, to be performed, wrought
  5. to become, be made
It means to cause to be or generate.

Thats what Grace does, it brings into existence.

Paul couldnt stop that from happening, it made him a new creature willing to believe in a serve Christ.

And so it is with all who believe on Christ 1 Tim 1:16

16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.

Thhe same powerful grace that converted saul to Paul converts all that believe on Him to life everlasting.
I was made a minister too; but not before I chose to submit to that call of God. Paul had to obey the instructions given to him, as did Ananias when he was called to go pray for the one who was sent to kill him and his fellow believers.

God’s grace is only irresistible toward us when we choose to no longer resist. God may provide overwhelming reasons for us to stop resisting, but we have to choose to believe him and cease our rejection of letting him do what he wants to do in us.

Of course after Grace has made you a new creature and given a new heart.
Only those who first believe

John 1:12–13 (NASB 95) — 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, 13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

Gal 3:26–27 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
Col 2:11–13and in Him you were also circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, in the removal of the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ; having been buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also raised up with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions,
John 7:38–39 (NASB 95) — 38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’ ” 39 But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

Grace is the effectual working of Gods Power. You think man can resist that ? Thats blasphemy, Idolatry Eph 3:7

: 7 whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.

Grace made him a minister, created him into a minister. What can resist Gods creative power ?

Rom 8:8 A Person believes by Grace Acts 18:27

Acts 18:27When Apollos wanted to go to Achaia, the brothers and sisters encouraged him and wrote to the disciples there to welcome him. When he arrived, he was a great help to those who by grace had believed. 28For he vigorously refuted his Jewish opponents in public debate, proving from the Scriptures that Jesus was the Messiah.

“By” in this verse is the Greek word ‘dia’, meaning through, or by means of grace. An English rendering of this concept of ‘dia’ might be “In order to get to the other side of the mountain, we tunneled through it.”

The means of getting through the mountain of our sin was by going through the tunnel of grace. Without the tunnel of grace, I could never have gotten through.

The tunnel provided the only means for me to get to the other side, but I still had to decide to go through it. We are not made to go through it; we are provided the means to go through if we choose.

Before grace we had no way through even if we wanted to.

Gods Power in regeneration has nothing to do with preaching. You believe in Gospel regeneration now ? Paul wasn't listening to a sermon when Christ made him a believer by His omnipotent Grace Eph 3:7

They were made to believe by Grace Eph 3:7

I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace given me through the working of his power.

Where does this say we were made to believe against our will? Nowhere in scripture does being born again precede believing: quite the opposite! Believing or not believing is the pivot point between life and death, not God making us do something against our will in order to believe.

Rom 1:16For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. 17For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
