Irresistible Grace

Teaching resistible grace is like saying Lazarus could have resisted the grace and power of Christ from raising him from the dead..
Teaching that we're dead people means that you're watching one too many Walking Dead episodes. It's time to snap out of that thinking trance and to accept Rom 10:9.

(Rom 10:9) that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

@JLB

Everyone is unregenerate before they are born again.

Correct, thats when one is no longer uncircumcised in heart and ears and can believe the Gospel. Until then our response to the gospel is Acts 7:51

51 ;Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.

Do you really believe the Sovereign Power and Grace of Christ can be resisted ?

So then you agree Saul of Tarsus was unregenerate before he met Jesus on the road to Damascus.

Saul of Tarsus, the Apostle Paul was standing there when Stephen said those words urging the people to stone Stephen to death.

Everyone is unregenerate before they are born again. And nobody knows when God regenerates a man, its a mysterious work Jn 3

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

8 the wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

So when you see Paul ask him when was he regenerated by the Spirit. Whenever it was, it was irresistible

Jesus didn’t get your memo when he said the following:

51 “You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you.
Thats the natural mans resistance to preaching the Gospel. Do you think God was exercising His Sovereign Power in these people trying to save them ?

@TomL

Its Illustrated in scripture. Grace works effectually, Its Apostolic Testimony, you are speaking against it.
This is scripture

Hebrews 12:15 (LEB) — 15 Take care that no one falls short of the grace of God; that no one growing up like a root of bitterness causes trouble, and by it many become defiled;

If one falls short despite given grace, how is that grace irresistible?

You ignore that

Acts 7:51 (LEB) — 51 “You stiff-necked people and uncircumcised in hearts and in your ears! You constantly resist the Holy Spirit! As your fathers did, so also do you!

If one can resist the spirit of grace, how is that grace irresistible

Again you have no answer

2 Corinthians 6:1 (LEB) — 1 Now because we are fellow workers, we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain.

If grace is given in vain, how was it irresistible?

You fail to address this as well

Hebrews 10:29 (LEB) — 29 How much worse punishment do you think the person will be considered worthy of who treats with disdain the Son of God and who considers ordinary the blood of the covenant by which he was made holy and who insults the Spirit of grace?

Insulted the Spirit of grace

You do not reply to this either

and you just ignore it

@TomL

@ll men not of God, there is no difference amongst spiritually dead sinners
Um some believe some do not

John 3:14–21 (LEB) — 14 And just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, thus it is necessary that the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 so that everyone who believes in him will have eternal life.” 16 For in this way God loved the world, so that he gave his one and only Son, in order that everyone who believes in him will not perish, but will have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world in order that he should judge the world, but in order that the world should be saved through him. 18 The one who believes in him is not judged, but the one who does not believe has already been judged, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God. 19 And this is the judgment: that the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone who practices evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds be exposed. 21 But the one who practices the truth comes to the light, in order that his deeds may be revealed, that they are done in God.

and you just ignore it
I showed you plenty of scripture and you dont believe, Grace reigns through Jesus Christ unto eternal life/Salvation Rom 5:21

21 ;That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Grace reigns is irresistible

You do not reply to this either
Not all accept the grace that God offers, so it is not irresistible.
and you simply ignore the fact grace must be received

Romans 5:17 (LEB) — 17 For if by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through the one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ.

not all do
