Gods Inability to save

Is a lack of faith or belief a sin that would have been taken away at the cross? Is it the exception?
My opinion.

NO

For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten son that who so ever believe in him yada yada yada............

God gave Jesus to the world. Plain and Simple. But with the stipulation that in order to receive the gift of eternal life and the forgiveness of ones sins one has/had to believe ( faith) in Him, Jesus.

As is said. Without faith... that would be in Jesus.... it is impossible to please God.

Jesus said that John.... 6:37.“All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out.

Hey, before I go on has it occurred to anyone that we are covering a heck of a lot of John recently??????????

Anyway... Do YOU for one minute think that God, the Heavenly Father would give to Jesus anyone that that did not have faith in Him.... especially when it is written that "without faith it is impossible to please God?"

You see... as we are told in the bible, and especially back when Jesus walked the earth.... it is all laid out and it is up to each one to decide, BY THEIR OWN FREE WILL, if they will believe or not.

Those on the fence... those luke warm.... are not going to make it.

Rev 3 :15 says
The Amen, the faithful and true Witness, Origin of the creation of God, says this:

15 ‘I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. 16So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of My mouth.

The offer is on the table for everyone, but you MUST choose .

That is why the very idea of predestination does not fit through out the entire bible, just in a few areas.

If our heavenly Father predestines the "elect" as it is presented by many here, He would not have to give any to Jesus because
they would automatically be His followers.

My opinion.

I would say they are given to the Son to have faith since I believe faith is a gift of God

Of course!! By HIS will and none of our own will, choice, decision or acceptance!!!
yet we must chose this day who we will follow

we must do as the jews did in Moses day and chose to look to the bronze serpent and life. or chose to not look in unbelief and die

he who believes is not condemned,

he who does not believe is condemned already

the only thing that separates these two is one repented (went from unbelief to belief) in response to Gods calling, and one did not

Boasting includes the merest iota of any claim that we were involved in our own salvation by anything we may have done!!!!
but I was not involved in my salvation

if a person is stranded in the middle of a burning house, and a rescuer comes to save them, and they just trust the rescuer to get them out and save them

the person saved can not boast he saved himself or they were involved in their own salvation. they were lost and without hope..

I wont argue this as I am certain you are wrong. But I will state my beliefs with scripture.

I believe the Gift of God is salvation in Jesus Christ

Let us call on John again.... 1 John 5:11–12

11 And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.

12 He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.

You cannot be clearer then this. It is not faith that is the gift. Faith is needed but the gift is eternal life.

It is a gift because we can’t earn it, nor do we deserve it

You know the verse we all know Ephesians 2:8–9.

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Everyone always says the gift is faith. ..... This clearly states that the gift is being save if you have the faith required.

The gift of God is a new life sourced and supplied by the Holy Spirit

John 6:63 again tells us It is the Spirit who gives life;
It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.

The gift of God is the soul-sustaining living water of eternal life, and it is ours in Jesus Christ through the gift of the Holy Spirit. What an indescribable gift!

Of course!! By HIS will and none of our own will, choice, decision or acceptance!!!
When was our will taken away from us? Please post the book, chapter and verse.

Because a long, long time ago in a land far from us (at least me) and a long, long time before Jesus walked the earth
there was a man and his name was Joshua

And in Joshua 24 vs 15 it states....

If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

So freewill was alive and well back then.

When did God remove it from us?

Book, chapter and verse.... please. I am begging this info from you on bended knee

ditto salvation is the gift. :)

Where does the bible say Jesus paid for every sin except unbelief ?
all manner of sin and blasphemy is forgiven all men

Jesus said whoever does not believe is condemned. If unbelief is the fact of condemnation, and not sin. then all sin must have been paid.

John the Baptist also said behold the lamb of God. who takes the sin of the world..

believers walk/live in unbelief all of the time, so did the disciples while living with Jesus for 3 years.

This is just one example of many I can provide. :)

Mark 9
;A man in the crowd answered, “Teacher, I brought you my son, who is possessed by a spirit that has robbed him of speech. 18Whenever it seizes him, it throws him to the ground. He foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to drive out the spirit, but they could not.”

19“You unbelieving generation,” Jesus replied,
“how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.”

20;So they brought him. When the spirit saw Jesus, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth.

21Jesus asked the boy’s father, “How long has he been like this?”

“From childhood,” he answered. 22“It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.”

23“‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”

24;Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”

Where does the bible say Jesus paid for every sin except unbelief ?
Does this count?

Once again enter John.....

John 3:18 — King James Version (KJV 1900)

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

If we do not have faith in Jesus... as is said Without faith it is impossible to please God, I personally do not think unbelief
would be covered under the sins Jesus paid for.
