Excellent Discussion on OSAS

Not what the verse says.

Next.
Using Greek grammer, the verse says through faith and that [salvation] is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. That faith is not the gift. By gender faith and "that" do not match up, but salvation and that do. I consider faith to be a reaction, so is indirectly part of the gift of God. It is our reaction to the radical transformation of our mind and spirit. Our spirit from death to life, and our mind from contary to God, to seeing/understanding where we stand before God. We have a reaction, which is not a work on our part, and fall down before God in belief through this faith. (That doesn't even scratch the surface does it? At least I hope you understand the gist.) Totally calvinist, but not so calvinist as to make faith the gift of God. The salvation is the gift of God, and the salvation is not of works lest any man should boast.

Sure and it’s not what you claim since they are already saved.

I can show so many verses where Jesus tells unbelievers it’s their faith that saved them.

I’ll go with Jesus teaching on this and not your personal views on the topic

Thanks for your honesty in dealing with that passage.

To be more clear. It isn't directly the gift of God, but indirectly as it is a result of what God has done, not necessarily something given. I like to think of it as things that can pop up in facebook where it says something like "that which has been seen cannot be unseen." There is no going back once God has acted.
Absolutely everything can be said to be indirectly the result of what God has done.

Using Greek grammer

*Grammar. Not grammer.

*It was not the passage I was citing and you should try to pay a little bit better attention.

*Grammar allows differing genders when referring to a group—the entire thing could be God's gift.

*There is no such thing as a partial Calvinist, either God does it all, or he does not.

Did Jesus say "God did not deal this measure of faith to you"?

No, Jesus wrote Romans 12.

Hope this helps!

God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. (Rom. 12:3 NKJ)
If you read the entire passage which is about gifts , it should be clear that the gifts are given according to the measure of faith. It is not faith that is given. Rather, the measure of faith is the determining basis for the gifts that are given.

False.

It says God dealt to everyone a measure of faith.

Then it says to use the gifts in proportion to the faith given.

"If you read the entire passage," that is.

Yep only after I was saved and became a child of God, not before I was saved. <-- Next fallacy

This makes no sense, God does not give people faith after they already have it.

God deals to each person a measure of faith, and it is up to them to use it.

Exactly it’s to believers who are already saved and their gifts to build up the body.

Context is King and we can toss out the personal agenda of others twisting scripture to suit their personal beliefs

@Complete

What about the Faith in the package ? From what source is it ?
Hello @brightfame52,

Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

I heard the Gospel of God delivered and believed what I heard: Faith had entered, and I was brought under the conviction of sin. and received the salvation of God, in Christ Jesus, through His all-sufficient sacrifice for sin, to the saving of my soul.

Thank you
In Christ Jesus
Chris

Everyone in the body.

Unbelievers are not part of the body having spiritual gifts.

Next fallacy

Romans 12:3

For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.

I think what is ultimately at stake in the battle over grace and faith is our understanding of the glory of God.

Acts 15:9

And he made no distinction between us and them, having cleansed their hearts by faith.

Your interpretation makes no sense.

Faith is a gift AFTER conversion, but not BEFORE conversion?

It says God has dealt to EACH PERSON a measure of faith.

Even though the passage is about Christian gifts, it is still a universal statement.

Projecting since the context of everyone supports me not you
