Excellent Discussion on OSAS

Cmon Jim and EG let’s play nice in the sandbox together. Thanks !
and as the saying goes beware the hidden chocolates beneath the sand
for they are not the chocolate to ever once be whiffed or eaten .
As is much doctrine within the realm of christendom today is as the hidden chocolates
beneath the sand . Not fit to eat . Now to the trenches civic .
The hour grows only later .

Sometimes it’s better to ignore and not respond or engage when it becomes unfruitful and or unfriendly
I have only one thing to say and that is I have been on the receiving end from more then on in this thread.

You boys need to play nicer with each other... is all I am going to say.... and I will try. Try being the operative word.

(My deep secret is though that sometimes mixing it up is fun) Oops... nope twas not I who said that it was another alter ego named Don Quixotes Quest and you have not met that one ....... yet .😁

@Jim
Maybe you should just go back to your sandbox where you belong.
Jim, I must have loved sandbox, because it took me two years to get out of it when I first started to school, and that's no joke. I would had been diagnose as autistic in today's world.

it is just hard seeing someone say they believe something and continue to post verses which support that belief,

then when someone asks them about it, they deny they even believe it.

its not edifying to any chatroom. It is deceptive, and should be either drawn out. or at least called to task. and if need be, the mods need to get involved

Let's all take a deep breath and try to get along.

That said I pray that this thread will be uplifting to us all.
And @civic ....

I want you both to read REPLY #62 in https://berean-apologetics.communit...n-of-sodom-homosexual.2578/page-4#post-173947

And this is one that provokes me to no ends.

I have played along nicely but oh if only I wanted to be kicked of... and if I thought my reply would still be visible...

Anyway... sometimes one just cannot be nice.

We all are guilty of this at one time or another. It's a pride thing. We all want to be right so we go on attack mode to prove it. The bad news is it's very unbecoming for Christians to do that. Then we try to hid our bad behavior behind scripture.

What does the Bible say about fighting?

Scripture is clear that Christians should not be arguing, fist fighting, creating drama, or repaying evil of any kind. No matter how hard it may seem, if someone slaps you on the cheek you must turn away from that person. If someone says some nasty words to you don’t repay them back. You must put away your pride. Christians will get persecuted, but attacking violence with violence only brings more violence. Instead of fighting with someone be the bigger person and talk it out nicely and kindly and repay that person with blessings. Pray for yourself and pray for others. Ask God to help you. Is it ever OK to defend yourself? Yes, sometimes you have to defend yourself.

Fair enough, but at the same time it would be next to impossible for those with opposite views to have only Kumbaya moments
and eating s'mores. ( Which I have never had) .

I’ve ignored the exchange and just posted my beliefs in that thread
You are very wise.

When I receive "

"YES, IT'S BEST YOU QUIT BEFORE YOU GET WAY OVER, OVER, OVER YOUR HEAD WHICH YOU ARE AT NOW".

It just irks me

But I put them on ignore and with the Lord's help will not feel so compelled to reply to the indirect challenge.

It just irks me and all over a challenge that Know does not mean carnally in Sodom and Gomorrah. And they were not homosexuals..... Oh well... I digress and it is unimportant.

And an indirect challenge is made and I am trying not to reply....

Lord, give me strength
You , I and most everyone else here on this forum knows the truth about sodom and the sodomites. It’s not rocket science and we see how desperate some are in denying the obvious. A caving into our modern culture and trying to understand it from that vantage point.

Or we just share what we believe and leave it at that. It's not like we will make anyone believe the same as we do once they have their mind set. And we don't want guests that may not be Christians to see us acting like the rest of the world.

I think the way it's set up here is we can discuses our beliefs just do it in a dignified manner.

Sorry when a post is broken up into a100 quotes, I just can't read it. But we have Bibles, and we know how to read them. We know what is taught in Genesis 19. So, we can't be misled by any false teaching. right?

Ephesians 6:14 is a verse from the Bible that says: "Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness". It is part of a passage that describes the spiritual armor believers should put on to stand against evil forces.

The girdle of truth is a concept related to spiritual armor. It represents having a mastery of the truth and being controlled by it. It is associated with Jesus and a settled conviction about the truth.
