Daniel's 70 weeks and the Messiah

Peter spoke Truth, and yet Peter did not fully understand, which is the case with 'prophecy'.
Peter is not the author. The Holy Spirit is. Peter just put pen to paper as the Holy Spirit inspired him. You are correct, that Peter may not have correctly understood what he wrote (we know this is possible because Scripture says that the OT Prophets did not understand what they wrote either.
Indeed the earth and the heavens will pass away = AFTER the 1,000 Year Reign just as the LORD prophesied.

And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army. Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh.

Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; 3and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.

And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for [a]a thousand years. 5But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

New Heaven and New Earth come AFTER the 1,000 YEAR REIGN
Yes, the New Heavens and New Earth come after the 1000 years. But the Old Earth and the Old Heavens is destroyed before the 1000 years.
When Jesus returns, all the righteous dead and the righteous living will be taken up to Christ. Then notice that in Rev 19:21 everyone who is not taken up to be with Christ will be killed by the sword coming out of the mouth of Christ, and as Peter tells us, the Heavens and Earth will be destroyed. There will not be anyone left in a "Left Behind" scenario; everyone will either be in Heaven with Jesus for the 1000 years, or dead awaiting Judgement. Those who are part of the first resurrection (the saints) will be in Heaven with God when the rest are resurrected just before Judgement after the 1000 years.

where is that in the bible? post book chapter and verse please.

101G.
I already showed the 1000 years precedes the new heaven and earth here

Revelation 20:1–21:4 (ESV) — 1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain. 2 And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, 3 and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be released for a little while. 4 Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. 5 The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years. 7 And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will come out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea. 9 And they marched up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, but fire came down from heaven and consumed them, 10 and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. 11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. 13 And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. 14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15 And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. 1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. 2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. 4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

and the fact that Christs advent ushers in the new heaven and Earth shows the 1000 years are previous to the advent as well

2 Peter 3:3–13 (KJV 1900) — 3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Sorry no There is no mention of the second coming before the 1000 years not in revelation but especially not anywhere in the New Testament
"And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war. 12 His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many crowns; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself. 13 He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses. 15 From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty. 16 And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written: “KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”
17 Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and he cried out with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in midheaven, “Come, assemble for the great feast of God, 18 so that you may eat the flesh of kings and the flesh of commanders, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all people, both free and slaves, and small and great.”
19 And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies, assembled to make war against Him who sat on the horse, and against His army.
20 And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire, which burns with brimstone. 21 And the rest were killed with the sword which came from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse, and all the birds were filled with their flesh."

This is the second coming. This is Jesus' return where He takes up the righteous, and kills all the unrighteous before the 1000 years.

Absolutely no mention of christs second advent here

Christ did not ascend on a white horse so his return in the same manner will not be on a white horse

Acts 1:6–11 (ESV) — 6 So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” 9 And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. 10 And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, 11 and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”

Further it is when Christ comes that resurrection and judgment transpires

there is no resurrection/judgment in the passage you quote

Matthew 25:31–46 (ESV) — 31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ 37 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38 And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ 41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’ 44 Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’ 45 Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’ 46 And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

John 5:28–29 (ESV) — 28 Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment.

1 Corinthians 15:22–24 (ESV) — 22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ. 24 Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power.

The HOLY SPIRIT knows when the New Heaven & New Earth takes place - not Peter.

Peter only prophesied that it will take place.

Not everyone is killed at the LORD's Return = only those kings & armies and civilians who hate God, fight against Israel and receive the MoB.

Everyone is killed AFTER the 1,000 Year Reign = Revelation 20:7-10
Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them.
The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

2 Thessalonians 1:6–10 (ESV) — 6 since indeed God considers it just to repay with affliction those who afflict you, 7 and to grant relief to you who are afflicted as well as to us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels 8 in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. 9 They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might, 10 when he comes on that day to be glorified in his saints, and to be marveled at among all who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed.

Is Revelation not replete with figurative language? Is a horse not something upon which one rides? Are the clouds not white?

These passages make it sound like these things happened at the same time. But other passages of Scripture show that time elapses between these events. One example is John 12:1-3 vs Mark 14:1-3. John says that Jesus came to Bethany 6 days before Passover, and they made Him a supper. Mark says that two days before Passover they made Him a supper. There is no contradiction. Jesus entered Bethany six days before Passover and spent time at Mary and Martha's house, and then four days later they had the supper referenced at Simon the Leper's house. Time is not always noted in every passage.

So putting Matthew, and John, and 1 Corinthians, and Revelation, and all the other prophecies that talk about Jesus' second coming, we see that there are events that transpire between Jesus' second coming and the Judgement: Satan is caged, all the unrighteous are killed, the righteous are resurrected and meet Jesus in the sky, 1000 years of celebration of the wedding of Jesus and the Church occur in Heaven, and then the unrighteous are resurrected, Satan is uncaged, Satan is defeated and sent to Hell, and everyone is judged before the Throne of God.

Rev 19:17-21

When Jesus returns, the beast and the false prophet will be cast into Hell (the lake of fire), and all the rest are killed with the sword coming out of the mouth of Jesus, then Satan is bound in prison. Then comes the 1000 years. After the 1000 years, Satan is released from his prison, then the unrighteous are resurrected (the second resurrection) and Satan leads them in battle against Jesus and the Angels and is utterly defeated and also cast into Hell. Then the Judgement and all the rest of the unrighteous are cast into Hell. And then the righteous receive the New Heavens and Earth.

SAME as i posted.

SAME as Revelation but with GREATER Details.

Not everyone is killed at the LORD's Return = only those kings & armies and civilians who hate God, fight against Israel and receive the MoB.
That is not what Rev 19:21 says. It says "the rest" which would be all the kings and their armies (from the great to the small)(Rev 19:18).
Zechariah chapter 14 declares that God will not kill everyone at His Second Coming, as does Revelation.
Revelation says clearly that all the armies arrayed against Jesus at His second coming will be killed, from the great to the small.
Zechariah 14 is looking forward to the crucifixion during His first coming, not the second coming. This is figurative language, and is not literal by any means.

I already showed the 1000 years precedes the new heaven and earth here
no you said, and I quote, "Yes but the 1000 years precedes the second advent". see your post #432.
now again, post book chapter and verse where the bible say the 1,000 years is before the second advent?

That is not what Rev 19:21 says. It says "the rest" which would be all the kings and their armies (from the great to the small)(Rev 19:18).

Revelation says clearly that all the armies arrayed against Jesus at His second coming will be killed, from the great to the small.
Zechariah 14 is looking forward to the crucifixion during His first coming, not the second coming. This is figurative language, and is not literal by any means.

There is ZERO evidence of His 1st Coming in Zechariah ch14

Your religion has you believing that error.

That is how bad you have been lied to!

There is ZERO evidence of His 1st Coming in Zechariah ch14
Zech 14:8 says that living water will flow out of Jerusalem. Jesus is the living water, and His blood flowed in Jerusalem. He stood on the Mount of Olives, and entered into the city from the Eastern Gate. The light was blotted out for three hours while He was on the cross, and it was neither day nor night. This is the first coming.

1st Coming - JESUS kneels in the Garden of Gethsemane = "not My will but Thy WIll be done" = CROSS & SALVATION

Zechariah 9:9
“Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!
Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem!
Behold, your King is coming to you;
He is just and having salvation,
Lowly and riding on a donkey,
A colt, the foal of a donkey.

Luke 9:51-56

Now it came to pass, when the time had come for Him to be received up, that He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem, and sent messengers before His face. And as they went, they entered a village of the Samaritans, to prepare for Him. But they did not receive Him, because His face was set for the journey to Jerusalem. And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?”

But He turned and rebuked them, and said, “You do not know what manner of spirit you are of.
For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.

2nd Coming
- KING of kings and LORD of lords who comes with the Saints = Revelation ch19 and 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

Zechariah 14:1-5

Behold, the day of the Lord is coming,
And your spoil will be divided in your midst.
2For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem;
The city shall be taken,
The houses rifled,
And the women ravished.
Half of the city shall go into captivity,
But the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

3Then the Lord will go forth
And fight against those nations,
As He fights in the day of battle.

4And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives,
Which faces Jerusalem on the east.
And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two,
From east to west,
Making a very large valley;
Half of the mountain shall move toward the north
And half of it toward the south.

5Then you shall flee through My mountain valley,
For the mountain valley shall reach to Azal.
Yes, you shall flee
As you fled from the earthquake
In the days of Uzziah king of Judah.
Thus the Lord my God will come,
And all the saints with You = 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 & Jude 1:14 & Revelation ch19

Greeting Doug,
Not saying that you're Right or Wrong, 101G do know that the First coming, as you mention, of the Lord Jesus, the Holy Spirit, was when he came in flesh, and died on the cross, which in fact he gave his blood, (NATURAL LIFE), for the Sins of the World. this is his First coming, and his first return was on Pentecost in Spirit, in which he poured out, in Glorification of his Spirit in his resurrection, per John 17:5.

no you said, and I quote, "Yes but the 1000 years precedes the second advent". see your post #432.

and the fact that Christs advent ushers in the new heaven and Earth shows the 1000 years are previous to the advent as well

SAME as i posted.

SAME as Revelation but with GREATER Details.
They show there is no 1000 year reign on earth after Christ returns

in fact he turns the kingdom over

1 Corinthians 15:22–28 (ESV) — 22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ. 24 Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power. 25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27 For “God has put all things in subjection under his feet.” But when it says, “all things are put in subjection,” it is plain that he is excepted who put all things in subjection under him. 28 When all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to him who put all things in subjection under him, that God may be all in all.

If you choose to see the second coming in Zech 14, that is your problem. I see prophecies that have been fulfilled and events that have no correlation with the end of time.
