Exactly. This world is designed to naturally break the pride of mankind. At every turn...... everything we build, everything we love, everything about us.... ends. Death is sure. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is unique in all the world's religions. It appeals to empathy of God for humanity while allowing man to experience what it is to be without God throughout their entire life.

Our hearts search Eternal things. Our hearts ache for God and we don't even realize it until this life breaks us.

Anyone can accept the gospel is simply question begging. Especially given no one can come unless drawn.

God blinded men to prevent their belief. Why would God blind someone who had no ability to see?

Why prevent from believing those who had no capacity for belief

Notice the second part. I did not say they were not either. If they were geniune believers obviously they were regenerate.

how you can read this verse and deny a capability to believe is mind boggling

How much exegesis is needed to see men believed based upon the woman's testimony

First of all, Jesus was quoting Isaiah. He quoted it in the present to say this is how it is now. God has hardened their hearts. It's already done.

Here's the evidence: Notice before this, God spoke from heaven but the crowd said it was thunder. Why? Because they were already blinded to the voice of God. They didn't have the ability to understand, turn, and be healed.

27 “Now my soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save me from this hour’? No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour. 28 Father, glorify your name!”

Then a voice came from heaven, “I have glorified it, and will glorify it again.” 29 The crowd that was there and heard it said it had thundered; others said an angel had spoken to him.

Now compare this with Deuteronomy:

37 Even after Jesus had performed so many signs in their presence, they still would not believe in him. 38 This was to fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophet:

“Lord, who has believed our message
and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”
39 For this reason they could not believe, because, as Isaiah says elsewhere:

40 “He has blinded their eyes
and hardened their hearts,
so they can neither see with their eyes,
nor understand with their hearts,
nor turn—and I would heal them.”

Jesus performed miracles and wonders, but God had not given them eyes to see or ears to hear, or a heart to understand.

Deuteronomy 29:

Your eyes have seen all that the Lord did in Egypt to Pharaoh, to all his officials and to all his land. 3 With your own eyes you saw those great trials, those signs and great wonders. 4 But to this day the Lord has not given you a mind that understands or eyes that see or ears that hear.

Same thing -- God did miracles and wonders and their eyes "saw" it superficially, But to this day the Lord has not given you a mind that understands or eyes that see or ears that hear.

The scripture you keep using proves the very opposite of what you want to prove. WE DO NOT HAVE EYES TO SEE OR EARS TO HEAR OR A HEART TO UNDERSTAND UNLESS GOD GRANTS THESE THINGS TO US.
