Yes when God is spoken of alone in a paragraph-Theos is used but when 2 are being called God and god, the true God was called Ho Theos( Ton Theon) which means-THE GOD, the word nor satan was called THE GOD. Its a 100% fact of life god is correct for the WORD and satan. Please do not find out the hard way.
It has nothing to do with wether God is spoken of alone but wether God appears as the subject or object

The three already in existence in the first book of the Bible chapter 1.
The text speaks about God the Father's Divine Nature. (Acts 17:9)
Again another verse speaks about God the Father's divine nature. (Rom 1:20)
And Col 2:9 speaks about, "In Christ all the fullness of Deity (Godhead) dwells in bodily form."
Where "Godhead" in Greek "theotes", Louw and Nida Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament with Strong no. G2320 defined it as "the nature or state of being God - 'deity, divine nature, divine being".

This proves Jesus' nature of being God. Trinity for me is they are one in the nature of being God in three distinct persons.

The Father is in overall supervision. The whole of creation is made by His command. Yet, we read that God said, “Let there be light.” In John’s Gospel, Jesus is described as the Word of God—and also as the Light. We can see, then, that the creation was made through Jesus—and this is supported by Colossians 1:15–17. Finally, in Genesis 1:2, we read about the Spirit “hovering over the face of the waters.” That accounts for all three Persons of the Trinity at the very start of things.
Genesis 1:26 says, “Then God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.’” Genesis 3:22 states, “And the LORD God said, ‘The man has now become like one of us.’” There are other passages in the Old Testament in which God refers to Himself using plural constructions. It is also interesting to note that Elohim, one of the primary titles of God in the Old Testament (occurring over 2,500 times), is in the plural form.
Another way of looking at this....
First, notice the activity taking place in these verses: making. Making in Genesis 1 and 2 is something God does. God is the “Maker of heaven and earth, the sea and everything in them” (Psalm 146:6). He does not collaborate with angels or other deities in creation (Isaiah 40:14). He is the only true and living God, and the only creator of the universe. Angels are never credited with creating mankind; nor are humans ever said to be made in the image of angels. But Jesus is credited with creating mankind. As the apostle John makes clear, the pre-incarnate Christ is the one through whom “all things were made” (John 1:3, emphasis added). Jesus was not only in the beginning with God but was God (John 1:1). Additionally, we have confirmation that the New Testament authors connected the image and likeness of God in Genesis with the image and likeness of the Son: “Those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son” (Romans 8:28, emphasis added); “But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is” (1 John 3:2, emphasis added).
What about the Spirit? Like the Father and the Son, creative activity is attributed to the Spirit. For instance, in Job, we read, “The Spirit of God has made me” (Job 33:4, emphasis added).[1] And Psalm 104:30 says, “When you send your Spirit, they are created” (Cf. Psalm 33:6). The Spirit is not absent in the creation narrative either. In fact, as Sinclair Ferguson points out:
- “While generally unnoticed in the exposition of Genesis 1, it can be argued that recognizing the presence of the divine Spirit in Genesis 1:2 would provide the ‘missing link’ in the interpretation of the ‘Let us make …’ in Genesis 1:26–27. The Spirit of God would then be the only possible referent of this address within the structure of the account itself.“[2]
It is not surprising, therefore, that all three Persons of the Trinity are present at Jesus’ baptism (Mark 1:9-11), an event that echoes Genesis 1 and signifies new creation and the beginning of a new humanity. As Tim Keller writes: “There are three parties active in the creation of the world: God, God’s Spirit, and God’s Word, through which he creates. The same three parties are present at Jesus’s baptism: the Father, who is the voice; the Son, who is the Word; and the Spirit fluttering like a dove. Mark is deliberately pointing us back to the creation.”[3] The parallels between creation and new creation are intentional and illuminate for us who Mark thought the parties involved in Genesis 1 were.

Made ... "THROUGH" Jesus? who is the WORD.... right. well let's see. Isaiah 44:24 "Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;"
ALONE means, having no one else present. and as for "Through" it means "by" as in BY HIMSELF in Isaiah 44:24. how do we know this? let's look up the term "BY" in the Noah Webster's 1828 Dictionary of American English.

2. Near, in motion; as, to move, go or pass by a church. But it seems, in other phrases,or with a verb in the past time, to signify past, gone beyond. Gone by is in strictness tautology, as now used; but I apprehend by signifies primarily near.
3. Through, or with, denoting the agent, means, instrument or cause; as, "a city is destroyed by fire;" "profit is made by commerce;" "to take by force." This use answers to that of the Latin per, through, denoting a passing, acting, agency, or instrumentality.
NOTICE definition #3. Through is "by" let's clearly see it in Colossians 1:16 "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:" by him here in Colossians 1:16 is THROUGH his WORD, meaning the ONE PERSON "GOD", Spoke creation into existence. because the Word of God in John 1:1 is God himself. John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." BINGO, and now, John 1:3 "All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made." just as Isaiah 44:24 clearly states.
now to prove 101G point. the scripture you posted is correct, Genesis 1:26 says, “Then God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." US and OUR is a Plurality, correct. well lets see, Genesis 1:27 "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." well "he" and "him" are singular.
so .... is God a US and a OUR or is he a "he" and a "his" here at Genesis 1? well what if Jesus from his own LIPS say God is a "HE" would you believe him? Read Matthews 19:3 & 4 and get back with 101G.

The Scriptures Declare that Elohim is Echad
JESUS declares that They are Echad(One)
The Apostles declare that They are Echad(One)

Not saying that you're right or wrong but consider this. Elohim(God) declare "he" is "ONE" as a ECHAD of himself to come from the very beginning in Genesis chapter 1:1. and this ECHAD is described as ..... the EQUAL SHARE of himself in the flesh .... his own image..... MAN.

However, there is a direct statement from the LORD Jesus Christ of the Reality of the TRINITY

Do folks realize such a verse is not doctrine, but rather what the unbelievers said. Let that sink in. For doctrine folks are posting what the unbelieving Jews said.
