What is regeneration?

Still waiting for you to respond to my post #106. What's your problem? No answer? We shall see who truly uses the scriptures to justify their teachings.

But, you must come out of hiding before we can discourse our understanding. I'm willing, and pretty sure more than able from what I have read of your posts.
Ok, let's look at your Post 106 and focus in on the scriptures, just as you asked. To that end, my first step is to discard everything that has nothing to do with scripture so that leaves you with your last paragraph. Let's go through that paragraph.
Also to say God decreed to send Christ to save all, if they will believe, I see they neither will nor can, therefore I will condemn them.
Why are you condemning people?
“They have not known nor understood; for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand.” Isaiah 44:18.
To understand Isa 44:18, you need to understand its theme and context. Its theme is the folly of worshipping graven images. This has to do with those who create graven images and worship them. Nobody around my circles is creating graven images and falling down to worship them. Just because you picked a neighborhood of graven image worshipers to live in does not mean that everyone has done the same. You should consider moving out of that neighborhood. Seriously.

Isa 44:9 Those who make a graven image are all of them vanity; and the things in which they delight shall not help; and they are their own witnesses. They do not see nor know, that they may be ashamed.
Isa 44:10 Who has formed a god, or melted a graven image that is good for nothing?
Isa 44:11 Behold, all his companions shall be ashamed; and the craftsmen; they are from men. They shall assemble; all of them shall stand; they shall dread; they shall be ashamed together.
Isa 44:12 He engraves iron with a tool. He works in the coals, and forms it with hammers, and works it with the strength of his arms. Then, he is hungry, and his strength fails; he drinks no water, and is weak.
Isa 44:13 He fashions wood, and stretches a line; he marks it out with a pencil; he shapes it with carving tools, and he marks it out with the compass, and makes it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man, to sit in the house.
Isa 44:14 He cuts down cedars, and takes cypress and oak, which he makes the trees of the forest strong for him; he plants a tree, and the rain makes it grow.
Isa 44:15 And it shall be for a man to burn; for he will take some of it and warm himself. Yes, he kindles it and bakes bread; yes, he makes a god and worships; he makes it a graven image and falls down to it.
Isa 44:16 He burns part of it in the fire; with part of it he eats flesh; he roasts roast and is satisfied; yea, he warms himself, and says, Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire.
Isa 44:17 And the rest of it he makes into a god, his graven image; he falls down to it and worships, and prays to it, and says, Deliver me! for you are my god.
Isa 44:18 They have not known nor understood; for He has shut their eyes so that they cannot see; and their hearts so that they cannot understand.
Isa 44:19 And none thinks within his heart, nor is there knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burned part of it in the fire; yea, also I have baked bread on the coals of it; I have roasted flesh and eaten; and shall I make the rest of it an abomination? Shall I fall down to the stock of a tree?
Isa 44:20 He feeds on ashes; a deceived heart has turned him aside, so that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?
God hath shut up all in unbelief, as, Romans 11:32,
Romans 11:32 has to do with God's plan for Israel. Are you a Jew?
“therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again, he hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.” John 12:39-40.
This goes back to Isaiah which I covered already.

Conclusion: Massive failure on your part to claim that those unique situations are universal throughout the world. Again, think about moving out of that graven image worshipping neighborhood of yours. You won't regret it.

Yes the exception is never the rule

Sir, are you mocking the doctrine that God must first quickens us to life "before" we can see, hear, and obey? You are not mocking faithful bible believing Christians, but God's testimony of this blessed truth. That's not very wise to do, you may want to reconsider your words~but, I'm sure pride will not allow you to do so. This is a truth a truth taught by Jesus himself~so, are you mocking him? That is even more dangerous and God will not take that very lightly mocking his darling Son.

Care to discuss these scriptures with me?
(John 5:21) For as the Father raises the dead and makes alive, even so the Son of Man makes alive whomever He wills.

Nobody around my circles denies that Jesus can raise the dead and bring them to life. If you're surrounded by people who don't believe that then tell them to read how Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. That should quiet all scoffers.

Yes the exception is never the rule
You know, there's a common trait that JWs and Calvinists possess which is a dark, condemning, iconoclastic spirit. I really feel sorry for them. They think they're doing the right thing when all the while they possess a condemning spirit. What's the remedy for that? We'll keep explaining the Bible to them and see what happens.

Ok, let's look at your Post 106 and focus in on the scriptures, just as you asked. To that end, my first step is to discard everything that has nothing to do with scripture so that leaves you with your last paragraph. Let's go through that paragraph.
WIthout even reading the rest of your post, you must start with my first paragraph which is dealing with a very important part of the the scriptures ~ the foreknowledge of God that cause him to have an election of grace ~ both among angels and man.

I have a biblical answer which will perfectly flow with all scriptures, which truth does and has no problem doing so; but so those who hold to error, which is seen in scriptures not having that perfect flow.

Truth is "one consistent flow" of a cohesive whole from Genesis to Revelation.

I know know why you are avoiding my first paragraph ~it show the inconsistently of men holding a lie, which is (inconsistently)a hallmark of error.
We grant God knew all that ever was, is, or shall be, but we deny that God did elect to life any for anything he did foresee in them; for if God should look out of himself to anything in the creature, upon which his will may be determined to elect, were against his all sufficiency, as if he should get knowledge from things we do, implies an imperfection of knowledge, and of will, if he should see something in us before he can determine, as if God were in suspense, saying, I will choose this man if he will, I will upon foresight of fulfilling my condition absolutely choose him. To say, I will elect, if they believe, is a conditional election, and if they can do this without God, then God is not omnipotent; if they say, he will give them faith to believe, then it is all one with an absolute will, as I elect to life, and I will give these faith; for whom he predestinated, them he efficaciously calls, etc.
Your doctrine makes God not omnipotent, pure and simple~his knowledge imperfect, as though he can see something in us before he can determine it to be in us. I see why you want to broad jump over the paragraph I just want others to see it as well. Of course your buddies in your amen corner will still amen you, which only encourages men like you to continue holding to a lie. We seek God's approval not man's.

To understand Isa 44:18, you need to understand its theme and context. Its theme is the folly of worshipping graven images. This has to do with those who create graven images and worship them. Nobody around my circles is creating graven images and falling down to worship them. Sir, is this the best you can do? Seriously? To have such a big bark, you have a very little bite~of course it's the little dog that barks the loudest, backing up the hold time. I've seen this too many times in both the real world with literal four legged dogs and among the barking two legged dogs that Paul said beware of.

Philippians 3:2

“Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.”
To understand Isa 44:18, you need to understand its theme and context.
We agree, but your labor produced very little, if any~Let us look at Isaiah 44.

Isaiah 44:9~ They that make a graven image are all of them vanity; and their delectable things shall not profit; and they are their own witnesses; they see not, nor know; that they may be ashamed.

This is a classic passage – maybe the best – of God’s mockery of idolaters (Is 44:9-20 Compare pagan witnesses of idols here to witnesses of Jehovah previous (Is 44:8). The mockery is of more than idols or idolatry; it emphasizes idolaters (Ps 115:1-8). The text does not open condemning graven images but rather the vanity of their makers.

Any such form of religion and its devotees are clearly under very great delusion. The bottom line and eventual conclusion of all idolatry is great shame for such stupidity. False religion is like wrongly dividing scripture – it shames the man (2nd Timothy 2:15). The passage is full of shame by its content and message and indictment (Is 44:11). Opposite shame of idolaters, worshippers of Jehovah could glory (Is 41:16; 45:25). Whether idolaters admit the shame or not, it is true and others do (Rom 1:22,24,27).

Isaiah 44:10~ Who hath formed a god, or molten a graven image that is profitable for nothing?

God here did not ask for a name of one idolater that might have graven himself a god. Rather and instead, God mocked all idolaters for stupidity by His rhetorical question. Who (or why?) would be a man foolish and vain enough to build a helpless idol? God from here forward in this long description will mock these unprofitable idols. Let us answer God’s question – only an insanely stupid and foolishly deceived man!

Isaiah 44:11~ Behold, all his fellows shall be ashamed: and the workmen, they are of men: let them all be gathered together, let them stand up; yet they shall fear, and they shall be ashamed together.

God warned that all these craftsmen that made idols would soon be afraid and ashamed. Religion is to secure our souls from the spirit and eternal world, but idols cannot at all. Any religion that leaves a person afraid and/or ashamed is a vain and worthless faith. God used idolatry’s great inability to avoid fear and shame against it (Isaiah 45:16). And He exalted His religion that removes both (Isaiah 45:17; 41:13-14; 43:1,5; 44:2).

Isaiah 44:12~ The smith with the tongs both worketh in the coals, and fashioneth it with hammers, and worketh it with the strength of his arms: yea, he is hungry, and his strength faileth: he drinketh no water, and is faint.

Consider … the man forming the idol is so weak he gets hungry, fails, gets thirst, faints. Consider … if the being making the god is so vulnerable to weakness, what of his god?

Isaiah 44:13~The carpenter stretcheth out his rule; he marketh it out with a line; he fitteth it with planes, and he marketh it out with the compass, and maketh it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man; that it may remain in the house.

God then moved to idolatry of wood gods, not metal, to ridicule it down to eating ashes. The wooden statue here is one that is carved to look like a human head, bust, or figure. God mocked the effort by the details of the tools necessary to form this wooden god.

Isaiah 44:14~ He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the cypress and the oak, which he strengtheneth for himself among the trees of the forest: he planteth an ash, and the rain doth nourish it.

Idolaters make investments to learn about trees so they can specialize in wooden gods. He knows certain kinds of trees and wood will last longer and be better suited for idols. We have the same idols in our days under the names of NFL~MLB~NBA~etc. more on this later, so it is in your neighbour sir and guess what? it's everywhere!

Isaiah 44:15 Then shall it be for a man to burn: for he will take thereof, and warm himself; yea, he kindleth it, and baketh bread; yea, he maketh a god, and worshippeth it; he maketh it a graven image, and falleth down thereto.

Our God, Creator of the universe, mocked idolaters for their other uses of god material. This fool took a tree to burn for cooking and for heat and then used the rest for a god. As we justly mock the idolater, we always know we would be one without God’s grace.

Isaiah 44:16~ He burneth part thereof in the fire; with part thereof he eateth flesh; he roasteth roast, and is satisfied: yea, he warmeth himself, and saith, Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire:

Our God, Creator of the universe, mocked idolaters for their other uses of god material. This fool took a tree to burn for cooking and for heat and then used the rest for a god. As we justly mock the idolater, we always know we would be one without God’s grace.

Isaiah 44:17 And the residue thereof he maketh a god, even his graven image: he falleth down unto it, and worshippeth it, and prayeth unto it, and saith, Deliver me; for thou art my god.

A leftover god! Meaning a god made from the leftovers of a tree or log after other uses! Our God gets into the details – the details of mocking the worshipper of a totem pole.

An Explanation for Idolaters’ Blind Insanity – Verses 18-20

Isaiah 44:18 They have not known nor understood: for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand.

Why are those in false religions without basic understanding? God rewired them to it. God does not shut the eyes and hearts of men from truth or sense when they deny Him.

Isaiah 44:19 And none considereth in his heart, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burned part of it in the fire; yea, also I have baked bread upon the coals thereof; I have roasted flesh, and eaten it: and shall I make the residue thereof an abomination? shall I fall down to the stock of a tree?

The facts here: a log was used for heat and cooking and the rest of it turned into a god.

God repeated this ridiculous situation again for emphasis and to expose its spiritual insanity. Any man should be able to consider the facts and admit the whole this is ridiculous.

Idolaters, or any false religionists, cannot consider or analyze their actions to see the lie.

American Indians cannot grasp that their totem poles or great spirit is nothing at all. Eastern Indians cannot grasp that bathing in the Ganges is stupid and without profit. Muslims cannot grasp they adore a meteorite and their prophet could not prophesy. Catholics cannot grasp that the dissolving cracker god in their mouths is not Jesus. Mormons cannot grasp that the peeper Joseph Smith never saw an angel of Jehovah. Jehovah’s Witnesses cannot grasp that their founder Russell was a cheat, fraud, liar. Charismatics cannot grasp that Jimmy Swaggart is a liar and a fraud and has reinvented himself to cover up his wickedness. Armenians deny some of God's attributes by their false gospel.

Isaiah 44:20~ He feedeth on ashes: a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?

The hearts of idolaters, and of all false religionists, are deceived into turning to vanity. Deceit is a terrible things, for you think truth a lie and a lie truth to your own ruin. There is a sensible approach of religion to seek a higher power, not a lower vanity! His soul is so deceived by sin and God that he cannot save his soul by seeing the lie. God rewires men to worship such ridiculous objects and doctrines (Romans 1:18-25; 2nd Thess 2:9-12).

Romans 11 later...
Since we generally agree on the exceptions, can we also agree on the universals, at least generally? See Romans 10:8-13.

8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach):
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”
12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.
13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:
“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,
Who bring glad tidings of good things!”
16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?”
17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Note: Belief/Faith is mentioned often with no mention of Regeneration. Faith comes by hearing, not by Regeneration. Therefore, Faith preceeds Regeneration.

I'm going to provide you with scriptures, and if I do, then I want you to prove me wrong, or, (I will not hold my breath) for you to submit to the word of God.

I'm not saying what you wrote is right or wrong. I'm just asking what is your Biblical references.
Oh, I see that, and I also know why!

Matthew 21:25-27~"The baptism of John, whence was it? from heaven, or of men? And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say unto us, Why did ye not then believe him? But if we shall say, Of men; we fear the people; for all hold John as a prophet. And they answered Jesus, and said, We cannot tell."
Is that too much to ask of a Calvinist?
I do not know, ask a Calvinist~I'm a Christian, a disciple of Jesus Christ~I welcome any and all questions, because I trust the word of God to give them to me and the scriptures never have failed and never will.
Like clockwork, spewed out from the mouth of a Calvinist are Ad Hominems. Calvinists are so predictable to the point that it becomes boring.
So, if you cannot prove a believer's doctrine wrong, it is you that is guilty of ad hominems, but I can deal with it, no problem.
Since we generally agree on the exceptions
I did not know we did, what are referring to?

Note: Belief/Faith is mentioned often with no mention of Regeneration. Faith comes by hearing, not by Regeneration. Therefore, Faith preceeds Regeneration.
I'm coming back after a couple of meetings, to address God's foreknowledge and this one above in the quote box.

Problem is, proving they are an exception. Saying it does not make it so.
Exceptions are easily proven. For example miracles, signs and wonders are not the norm but the exception performed by few in both testaments. God speaking to someone in the womb and setting them apart consecrating them for doing His work is another. The Holy Spirit guiding them into all truth is another exception that was for the 12, not everyone. Not seeing death but being resurrected as His Coming is the exception not the rule for all believers, the pouring out of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost with the signs that accompanied the Apostles and the list goes on and on and on. Your post earlier was an exception as well, not the rule. The blinding had a specific application to the pharisees when Jesus quoted the OT passage and applied it to them in John 12. He was engaging them specifically, not all men everywhere.

hope this helps !!!

Who said God concentrating someone in the womb is the exception to the rule? Especially given God's omniscience.

The Holy Spirit guiding one into truth is not the exception. See 1 Corinthians 2

The others you have a point. We should take every claim of exception one at a time.

The OT prophets and apostles were set apart and are the exception not the rule. The context of those passages have a specific application for a specific person and role from God. And Jesus specifically promised the 12 He would guide them into all truth.

John 16:13- But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

John 14:26- But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have told you.

PS - they wrote our N.T. no one else did but them- All truth is contained in the N.T. writings as Jesus promised.

I sure hope you don't think you are on the same level as the Apostles who are the very foundation of the church. Ephesians 2:20 cf Ephesians 3:5

hope this helps !!!

he was not murdered eh gave up at the Ghost in his time frame not mankind it is finished/ the price/payment for our sins was paid for the whosoever will/shall

That is what "Many" who come in Christ's Name preach, but not what is written in Scriptures.

Matt. 16: 21: From that time forth began "Jesus" to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

Mark 9: For "he taught" his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and "they shall kill him"; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day.

Acts 2: 36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom "ye have crucified", both Lord and Christ.

Acts 3: 14 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you; 15 And "killed" the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

Acts 7:51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye. 52 Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the "betrayers and murderers":

1 Thess. 2: 14 For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews: 15 Who both "killed" the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men:

I have heard this popular religious philosophy you are promoting since my youth. It is taught by the "other voices" in the Garden God placed me in. But when a man turns from all the "other voices" who "Come in Christ's Name" that Jesus warns about, and study the Scriptures for yourself as instructed, it becomes clear, as the Scriptures I posted clearly define, that Jesus was murdered.

Certainly, the Jesus "of the Bible", believed the Prophesies regarding Him.

Luke 24: 27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, 46 And said unto them, "Thus it is written", and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise "from the dead" the third day:

HE could have avoided the event with one prayer to God. But HE loved us enough to show us the way that we should go, even knowing that HE would be hated and murdered for doing so. He didn't have to, HE offered Himself a Living Sacrifice to God. But He was most certainly murdered, at least according to the Holy Scriptures.

So your philosophy that HE wasn't murdered, might be popular in this world's religions, but it is a falsehood, exposed by the Words of the Christ Himself, as well as those who were Inspired by His Spirit.

This is why the Jesus "of the Bible" warned me of listening Specifically to "many" men, not of Islam or Buddhism or even Atheists, but HE said to "Take Heed" of the "many" who "Come in His Name". The teaching that Jesus was not "Murdered" is a perfect example of why HE warned of this "many".

No one has denied either. Of course there are exceptions in paticular periods of time. That does not mean everything you scream exception to is actually a exception. Right?

The Spirit guides all of His elect to Spiritual understanding.
