The Issue of Limited Atonement

Rom 5:18 does more than indicate, it defines the difference between the single act of disobedience of Adam to the single act of righteousness of our Lord Jesus Christ.

So then as through one trespass, all men were condemned; even so through one act of righteousness, all men were justified to life. (Rom 5:18)

The difference between Adam and our Lord is clearly defined by the Apostle Paul.
"as through (Adam's) one trespass, all men were condemned"
"so through (Jesus's) one act of righteousness, all men were justified to life"

The clear comparison is, as Adam's sin condemned all men to death our Lord's righteous act justified all men to life

In your reply you add exclusivity that is not found in the verse. The Apostle Paul was clear "as through one trespass, all men were condemned; even so through one act of righteousness, all men were justified to life". There is zero mentioning or implication of exclusion in the verse.

When you look for exclusivity you must read the preceding verse, "For if by the trespass of the one, death reigned through the one; so much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ."

The Greek word λαμβάνω means to receive what is given, what is offered. IE: Three people are given a writing pen, two refused the pen and one received the pen. I gave all three a pen but only one received. Without exclusion all three were given a pen and yet only one received it. The one who received it benefits from it.

All men are justified to life in the death of Jesus Christ and yet only those who receive it by faith will benefit from it. Romans 4 and 5 is where the Apostle Paul expounds on the topic of justification by faith.

The foundational truth of Romans 4 and 5 is, we believe God that He justified us in His Son's death for our sins; therefore, we are justified!

Those who do not believe God justified them to life in the death and resurrection of Jesus have rejected or refused to receive God's free gift to life and will sadly die in their sins.

I hope you realize there is no exclusivity in Romans 5:18.

God Bless
Well said brother , the truth prevails. Amen.

Rom 5:18 indicates that the all represented by Christ , as a result of His Suretyship representation for them, they receive Justification of life, o its limited to them who actually receive Justification of life.

its eisegesis to change the meaning of all in a verse to fit your doctrine- all means all men , everyone in both cases.

The text is a comparison between Adam, who is a foreshadow of our Lord Jesus Christ, and Jesus our Lord (ref, Rom 5:14).

And here is the comparison between Adam, who the foreshadow of Jesus Christ, and Jesus Christ, "as through one trespass, all men were condemned; even so through one act of righteousness, all men were justified to life"

The foreshadow is, just as all men were condemned in Adam, all men are justified to life in Jesus Christ....This is exactly what the Apostle Paul stated in context as the comparison.

I know it is your desire to understand the comparison to mean a particular group of men justified to life, but then you must apply that equally so to the ones condemned, for the context is comparing between the result of one man's single sin and one Man's single act of righteousness. This means that "all men" condemned is equally the same as "all men" justified to life.

We know all men were condemned in Adam's single sin. for death is the reality for every man. So we too must believe God that in His Son's death all men were justified to life. And we believe God that all men will be raised from the dead, and only those who receive the free gift of justification will reign in life with Jesus Christ.

God's free gift came to all men; this is what Paul is teaching in Romans, and only those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ. This is why we preach believe in the Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sin and eternal life, for God has justified you to life in Jesus's death for your sin.

I ask that you take the verses in Romans 5:12-21 for exactly what they mean without adding or subtracting from their pure meaning, for this truly reflects the glorious grace of God to "all men".

God Bless

You address none of these

And again all men are not some men unconditionally selected

The verse testifies against your theology

Now has Justification of life came upon all men without exception ? NO so the atonement wasn't for them, thats elementary thinking.
