The Discovery of Hidden Mystery Against OSAS

All you have to do is call someone a fool or an idiot that cuts you off on the freeway. Bam...Same as a murderer. And yet posters here try to tell us that as Christians we are without sin. It's kind of a contradiction.

Here's the real deal:

If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. 1 John 1:8-10
This is an important verse, especially for those who have seen what sin really is.

and @Obediah. This is what 1 John 1:8 really means. Next chapter 1 John 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

It is the difference between the talkers and the walkers. The talkers (key word, say) have not confessed their sins. Verse 7 is a walker that is filled with the Spirit. Then:

1 John 3:8-9
8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

You are reading with a western mindset, but John is using an eastern Hebrew writing style. Don't be deceived.

I'm reading pride in the above post, this is the type of sin that blinds people into thinking they don't sin.

Don't be deceived.

Do you know how many people are soft on sinning because of 1 John 1:8? They are bound for hell because they don't know even how to repent. They have been taught they will always sin.

Revelation 22-11

It included me. You're excluding yourself from what Paul said.

"Such is common to man". How can you exclude yourself?

Not me anymore. And I hope not you. Have you ever repented and been filled with the Holy Spirit so the devil has no more hold on you? The proof of that is freedom from sin. 1 John 3:5-9 Romans 6:5-7

I'm responding to what you said. If you look forward to the suffering of the wicked, then that is a reflective of the how you see yourself differently than you see others.

I was going to church for 30 years BEFORE I learned about the Holy Spirit. It took another 6 years and I truly repented and was filled with the Spirit. I was not saved before that.

So Paul isn't talking about you when he said "such is common to man"?

It doesn't really matter if I've been filled with the Spirit of not relative to this issue. I'm sure you see "tongues" being a sign and I've never spoken in a tongue that I didn't learn from someone else.

As are many people. The Gospel must have it's work in us. Some have enough faith to start the journey toward God. God wants man to seek Him. Sometimes that takes time.
