The continued spread of the Arian Heresy (that Jesus is not God) in JW and Unitarian Churches.

I wonder how many know about Church History?
In my online experience not many. As you know I have had to post many calvinist sources that show calvin received allot of his teachings from augustine. He married many things from paganism, gnosticism and greek philosophy with christianity. This is just one example and there are many things in history that reveal the unbiblical and ungodly things that were done under the name of " Christ" that He would never affirm, approve of or have taught others to do. When we examine the teachings of Jesus we can clearly see where historical figures in the "church" have failed miserably. That alone should warn us about the teachers, theologians and scholars some have followed that are contrary to Christs teachings. We should learn from the mistakes others have made in history, not endorse them.

Further on in John a king is called the same word in Greek the word is called at John 1:1-god is the result-The same Greek word is given to satan at 2 Cor 4:4= god small g--its the same in every instance. Billions being mislead by a lie that trinity scholars have to know its a lie with 0 doubt. Reality isn't so funny is it?
What exactly are you saying? The Mormons say that Jesus and Satan are spirit brothers. What do you believe?

As much information that is available today any armchair theologian can easily can easily learn church history. So in answer to your question it would be the ones that have a desire to know. Anyone that reads the accounts of Paul in the New Testament will gain some knowledge on church history. Some people are more concerned in their everyday life To dig into church history.

To me history of any kind is very important because we can learn from the mistakes of others. And we can also learn from what they did right.

calvinism did not exist until the reformation and calvin got most of his teachings from augustine who brought paganism, greek philosophy and gnosctism into the church and married it with christianity.

hope this helps !!!
I agree with the first clause.
I agree with the second clause and add that Calvin and others divorced paganism, Greek thought, and Gnosticism from Biblical Theology. And through Church History others have divorced the errors from those remade theologies as the Lord gives light in each generation and each individual in each generation that fine-tunes our beliefs until we all see the same Jesus and say the same thing as God.

Jesus came to bring division not only between sheep and goats but also between truth and error.

Satan was a powerful angel-the anointed Cherub. He was given dominion over the Garden of Eden. I personally believe he was created 2nd after Michael( Jesus) was. He got jealous and wanted worship and rebelled.

Michael = Jesus is a JW belief.
Tell me what convinced you of that.

1Thess 4:16--Upon Jesus return, he comes with the trumpet of God( announcing this ride-Rev 6:1-2) and with the voice of the archangel)---its his voice. Michael took that ride at Rev 6:1= the war in heaven-6:2 he receives his crown) only Jesus is getting the crown. That ride continues until the end of Rev 20--then this occurs-1Cor 15:24-28--Jesus hands back the kingdom to his God and Father and subjects himself= forever. Rev 19:11 has Jesus on that white horse--Dan 12:1--It is Michael who stands up for Gods chosen in these last days. Michael is Jesus, God sent his best.

Sorry, Dan 12:1 is a rather weak attempt to link Jesus to Michael. Jesus is not just a prince. He is God (John 1:1), the Uncreated Word of God (John 1:2), the Lord of lords, and the King of kings (Rev 17:14).

Scripture clearly teaches that the Son of God is infinitely superior to the angels. The entire first chapter of Hebrews is devoted to this theme.

5 For to which of the angels did He ever say:
“You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You”?

Also:

6 But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says:
Let all the angels of God worship Him.”

Angels consistently refuse worship ("Be careful! Do not do that! …Worship God,") (Rev 22:8-9).

There is no link whatsoever between Jesus and Michael except that God the Son (Jesus) created Michael.

Heb 1:4--Without being given that name above their' he was equal to the angels. It was the name-Jesus that God gave to him that made him above the angels. It was God who made the name Jesus great, It was God who taught all things to him,( John 5:19,30) It was God who did all the powerful works through him( Acts 2:22, 1Cor 8:5-6--It was God who created all other things through the being named Jesus as a mortal( Coll 1:15-16)

I'm happy that you're not pursuing the Michael = Jesus heresy.

God the Father created everything by His Word, Jesus. Jesus created everything (John 1:2) which proves that He is uncreated because nobody can create himself. Only God is uncreated so that proves the Jesus is by nature God which is what John 1:1 reveals.

Jesus( Michael) was created direct( Prov 8:22-25) first and last, all other things created through him.-The FIRSTBORN of all creation-ALL CREATION occurred at the beginning.

It's really frustrating that the Arian heresy (that Jesus is not God) is alive and spreading in many churches today. Arianism was exterminated many years ago. Saint Athanasius of Alexandria spearheaded the anti-Arian cause. In fact, most of the Church was Arian leaning at that time. It's only by the Grace of God, through warriors like Saint Athanasius and ratified by Church Councils, that the Church was not totally overcome by Arianism. Again, it's really frustrating that people do not consult history but instead are content to reopen viral-laden blasphemous old heresies like Arianism. If anyone is interested in this topic please tell me and I can forward more information on Saint Athanasius' victory against the Arians.
Now I found it, The search feature works pretty darn good.

I've never looked into the Michael Equals Jesus heresy, but now is a good time as any.

JWs reduce Jesus to a level of an angel/man and deny that He is the Eternal Word of God. Quite a bizarre thing to do. So if a JW knocks on your door you can always inquire about their view of Jesus and that immediately puts them into quite a bind. Either they respond honestly and confess to this belief or they will try to cover it up which is an immediate red flag for you.

Yeah, I've noticed on Christian forums around the internet people lowering Christ to be inferior to the Father. It seems to be getting more popular.

It's not reading context that leads to this. Jesus said the 'Father is greater than I'..
So this verse gets taken as is. Without its surrounding context...let alone other verses about Jesus' self identity.

This verse though has Jesus' ascending to be one with the Father not long after

Exactly! If people would just keep reading then all heresies would melt away. Come to think of it, the phrase "just keep reading" is a great battle cry against all heresies.

If people would just read the bible like its their first time with no presuppositions they would clearly see the Deity of Christ everywhere in Scripture. It stands out like a sore thumb.
