The Calvinists eisegesis of John 6:55

That makes him a expert? Okay
I'm not saying I'm an expert but when I was a calvinist for all those years on the forum I had all the full support of the rest of the calvinists. I could argue calvinism as good as any of the best calvinists on that forum. I'm sure you would agree since you and I use to support each other there for many years. :)

Sorry for derailing this thread. Back to John 6:55 and the fact that those who come do because it has been granted or given to Him by the Father. Along with belief and repentance.

"He knows Calvinism as well as ANYONE", What does that mean?
He knows Calvinism as well as anyone in this discussion forum who may be reading this discussion- including, but not limited to you!

Am I saying @civic is the epitome of knowledge, understanding or intelligence? No, that human being probably isn’t in this forum, but when he speaks, he is as credible as anyone can be in his opinion, your disbelief notwithstanding.

I did not say i did not believe him.

Weather he knows it as well I do is debatable.

How well do you know Calvinism to be able to make such judgements?

If you did believe him, you wouldn’t be a Calvinist…

Not from my experience…

Well enough to answer any objections you may have.

Doug
I have to be a Calvinist. Its where my conviction lies. With the truth.

We can put your claim to the test anytime you like.

Any objections to what? LOL What are you talking about?

Does that mean you will address scriptures when they are posted in contradiction to your theology?

Then you don’t agree/believe him.

We can put your claim to the test anytime you like.
@civic proves it every time he responds to you.

Everything thing in your Soteriology objects to mine. I say we can choose or reject the gospel of our own free will; you object! I can deal with your objections!

Does he? You sure? In order to make that claim you would also need to be a expert. Are you?

I say the same thing. We can choose to accept or reject the gospel freely. We all have the natural ability to do so. Your off to a great start.

I am a seasoned veteran, trained and practiced and commissioned by those superior to me; I don’t need to be an “expert” in your eyes. I am qualified enough to comprehend what I read and experience and your naysaying is meaningless banter.

I have experienced @civic for many years, I know where he was more than a decade ago, and I know where he’s at now.

You say you do, but election says God chooses what we choose. He who chooses first determines the choice’s results. My choice cannot be anything other than what God has determined. There is no freedom, no independence.

So then do you deny unconditional election and irresistible grace?

Speaking of ignorant meaningless banter. Take a gander in the mirror. Seasoned veteran at what? LOL

Election is actually being chosen to be saved. It has nothing to do with what you do orher than your choice to believe and repent.

Your choice is used by God to carry out what He has determined to occur.

No independence? Interesting word choice. Independence from what? God? Freedom from what exactly God?
