One CURE for SIN as Declared by the HOLY SPIRIT = John chapter 3
You listed more than one cure. If the Cross cured sin then why does sin still exist?
One CURE for SIN as Declared by the HOLY SPIRIT = John chapter 3
Why are you asking me to engage with you about it? You don't believe what the Scripture said. I was showing the importance of the resurrection of Christ in His substitutionary Death. They for whom He died, will partake of His resurrected life, by being born again through it. 1 Pet 1:3So why do you die when Christ has resurrected from the grave?
I know what it is, I just told you.God's decretive command is for something to take place like our Lord being slain from the foundation of the world. His decretive will cannot conflict with His permissive will. God never decrees that man sin against Him, but He permits it to accomplish His decretive will.
God's Position = His Word is TRUEI don't need to read your posts David. I already know the answers.
You're assuming your position is true. Not defending.
I believe them more than you do. You believe what you've heard about them. You have mixed traditions with them to the point you're unable to the see the difference between what you've been taught and what they say.Why are you asking me to engage with you about it? You don't believe what the Scripture said. I was showing the importance of the resurrection of Christ in His substitutionary Death. They for whom He died, will partake of His resurrected life, by being born again through it. 1 Pet 1:3
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead
If no resurrection of Jesus Christ, then no newbirth for them He died for.
The resurrection of Jesus Christ did not ensure the elect would not die, but it ensures their resurrection from the dead
Yes it was, because of the Greatness and Holiness of the Being he disobeyed. What Adam did wasn't worthy of damnation
God's Position = His Word is TRUE
"If you do not believe God at His word then you cannot be SAVED" = True or false?
It begins when faith in the gospel is done by the person. Then God gives them eternal life, not before.Eternal life begins when resurrection life gives the New Birth, it's all related
Yes it was, because of the Greatness and Holiness of the Being he disobeyed.
Boy i love a Good challenge - Thank YouThe Gospel can be preached without a single reference to the OT. Paul did it in Acts 17.
The message is what is important. I can preach Christ without a single reference to the OT. I can elaborate principles in the OT. The message is alive David. That message is Christ Himself.
So take the challenge. Give me one specific single reference to the OT that Paul used when preaching on "Mars' Hill"?
It begins with regeneration, that is the imparting of eternal life. That's who believes in Christ, those having eternal life.It begins when faith in the gospel is done by the person. Then God gives them eternal life, not before.
Faith to believe the Gospel is given from Above =It begins when faith in the gospel is done by the person. Then God gives them eternal life, not before.
I already know what it says. I asked you for a reference to the OT scripture from Paul's sermon on Mars Hill.Boy i love a Good challenge - Thank You
Here is your Good challenge:
Acts chapter 17 includes the GOSPEL = find it, if you can!
Why Shalom instead of peace?Faith to believe the Gospel is given from Above =
a.) "who were born not of the will of man but by the will of God"
b.) "Of His own will HE begot us"
c.) "no one comes to the FATHER but thru ME and no one comes to ME unless the FATHER draws them"
d.) "by Grace you are SAVED thru Faith and this is NOT from yourself = it is the Gift of God"
e.)"all whom the Lord our God will call"
SHALOM
SimpleI already know what it says. I asked you for a reference to the OT scripture from Paul's sermon on Mars Hill.
The words of Jesus are also a cure for sin.Thank you @Wilber
You said:
Whose "moral principal" ???
yours? or GOD's?
God's Moral Principal is:
1.) "the LAMB slain from the foundation of the world"
2.) "in the day you eat thereof you shall DIE"
3) “Whoever sheds human blood, by humans shall their blood be shed; for in the image of God has God made mankind."
4.) "Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
So the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth
There is only ONE Cure for Sin = God's Judgement = the Cross
Then they journeyed from Mount Hor by the Way of the Red Sea, to go around the land of Edom; and the soul of the people became very discouraged on the way. And the people spoke against God and against Moses: “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no food and no water, and our soul loathes this worthless bread.” So the Lord sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and many of the people of Israel died.
Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, “We have sinned, for we have spoken against the Lord and against you; pray to the Lord that He take away the serpents from us.” So Moses prayed for the people.
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole; and it shall be that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, shall live.” So Moses made a bronze serpent, and put it on a pole; and so it was, if a serpent had bitten anyone, when he looked at the bronze serpent, he lived.
When Paul said God will judge the world in righteousness, that could be referring to the Psalms here Ps 9:8Boy i love a Good challenge - Thank You
Here is your Good challenge:
Acts chapter 17 includes the GOSPEL = find it, if you can!
Based upon His Substitutionary Death 1 Pet 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. The words of Jesus are also a cure for sin.
in that he hath raised him from the dead. When Paul said God will judge the world in righteousness, that could be referring to the psams here Ps 9:8
And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.
Acts 17:31
Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
I already knew this. How does this answer what I asked for?Simple
Then Paul stood in the midst of the Areopagus and said, “Men of Athens, I perceive that in all things you are very religious; 23for as I was passing through and considering the objects of your worship, I even found an altar with this inscription:
TO THE UNKNOWN GOD.
Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you: God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’ Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man’s devising. Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.”
