I encourage you and our readers to think:
If the NT authors were convinced that "Lord" (Kyrios) implied deity just as "God" (Theos), why didn't they swap the titles in some of the sentences that mention together the Father and Jesus Christ? Why didn't they do it at least, say, in 50%... or in 20%... or in 10% of the cases?
Why do we find ZERO verses like: "The grace of our Lord, The Father, and of our God, The Son, be with you"?
The answer is... because according to the common use of Kyrios and Theos by the time of the apostles, those terms were not equivalents.
Kyrios was generally applied to kings, princes, generals, captains, landowners, slave owners, great leaders
Theos was always applied to gods.
So, any attempt to extrapolate the use of Adonai in the Old Testament to Kyrios in the New Testament to claim deity for Jesus is incorrect, specially (and let me insist on this) when the Father and Jesus are presented head-to-head in the same sentence, and only one of them receives the title "God" in all cases. I repeat: in all cases.
