I'm not ashamed of the gospel

Yet without identifying and correcting the false doctrine, it is merely a declaration of "anathema".
John Calvin wrote that Jesus is God Incarnate. Is THAT a "WICKED & UNSCRIPTURAL False Doctrine!"

John Calvin did not write that. Why are you lying. John Calvin wrote in Latin. Here you are making claims without evidence for your claim. What does this equal?

John Calvin supported Paedobaptism. Is THAT a "WICKED & UNSCRIPTURAL False Doctrine!"[/QUOTE]
Prove it. You don't know Calvin. BTW. Stop preaching Calvin. He isn't worthy to be preached. Oh, I know that is your Gospel. Always preaching yourself and the accomplishments of those you prefer.

John Calvin wrote that God condemns sin. Is THAT a "WICKED & UNSCRIPTURAL False Doctrine!"
While ignoring his own. Much like you do.

John Calvin wrote that Jesus will lose none of those that the Father has given Him and that we are sealed with the Holy Spirit. Is THAT a "WICKED & UNSCRIPTURAL False Doctrine!"

John Calvin stole that from the good name of Christ. John never had such a good name.

That was NOT "[calling] things for what they are." Especially when "Calvinism" has not even been defined as the teachings of "John Calvin" or "the Westminster Confession of Faith" or "TULIP" ... which are not even 100% synonymous. So is EVERY PART of all 3 "WICKED & UNSCRIPTURAL False Doctrine" [as you say in LOVE].

Then why are you preaching Calvin? You obviously don't speak for Calvin.

However, you do preach yourself just like Calvin did.

@atpollard

Perhaps as part of a systematic theology [one cannot explain how the Gospel WORKS without TULIP], but surely not ESSENTIAL for soteriology [You are not advocating that it is impossible for God to save an Arminian, are you?].

Tulip is essential Gospel of Gods Grace Truth my friend, and yes Jesus can save an arminian, all men are arminian by nature friend.

Tulip is man made. Calvinism is WICKED & UNSCRIPTURAL False Doctrine!
If thats what you want to call Doctrines of the Gospel, which Tulip sets forth, its like Isa 5:20

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

You are right, Calvinists are nothing more than closet devil worshipers. Your description fits the perfectly.

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Isaiah 5:20

For the Calvinist it's like looking through a mirror. They have reversed what is evil and what is good.

Since the goal is to VOMIT bile and reproach upon that which you demonstrate NO UNDERSTANDING ("Calvinism" remains undefined by those claiming it is WICKED and no specific example has been given of any UNSCRIPTURAL teaching), there is nothing to be gained by continuing to "wrestle in the manure with the village idiot".

So I leave you, king of your pile of manure (Calvinism is wicked, whatever it is) as I return to the Doctrines of Grace and the scriptures which they affirm.

John 3:18-20 [NLT] "There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God's one and only Son. And the judgment is based on this fact: God's light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed."
John 6:44 [NLT] "For no one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them to me, and at the last day I will raise them up."
John 6:65 [NLT] "Then he said, 'That is why I said that people can't come to me unless the Father gives them to me.'"
John 10:11, 14-16, 25-30 NLT] "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep. ... "I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me, just as my Father knows me and I know the Father. So I sacrifice my life for the sheep. I have other sheep, too, that are not in this sheepfold. I must bring them also. They will listen to my voice, and there will be one flock with one shepherd. ... Jesus replied, "I have already told you, and you don't believe me. The proof is the work I do in my Father's name. But you don't believe me because you are not my sheep. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father's hand. The Father and I are one."
Romans 3:10-12 [NLT] As the Scriptures say, "No one is righteous--not even one. No one is truly wise; no one is seeking God. All have turned away; all have become useless. No one does good, not a single one."
Romans 8:29-30 [NLT] "For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory."
Romans 9:15-18 [NLT] For God said to Moses, "I will show mercy to anyone I choose, and I will show compassion to anyone I choose." So it is God who decides to show mercy. We can neither choose it nor work for it. For the Scriptures say that God told Pharaoh, "I have appointed you for the very purpose of displaying my power in you and to spread my fame throughout the earth." So you see, God chooses to show mercy to some, and he chooses to harden the hearts of others so they refuse to listen.
Romans 9:20-24 [NLT] No, don't say that. Who are you, a mere human being, to argue with God? Should the thing that was created say to the one who created it, "Why have you made me like this?" When a potter makes jars out of clay, doesn't he have a right to use the same lump of clay to make one jar for decoration and another to throw garbage into? In the same way, even though God has the right to show his anger and his power, he is very patient with those on whom his anger falls, who are destined for destruction. He does this to make the riches of his glory shine even brighter on those to whom he shows mercy, who were prepared in advance for glory. And we are among those whom he selected, both from the Jews and from the Gentiles.
2 Corinthians 4:3-4 [NLT] "If the Good News we preach is hidden behind a veil, it is hidden only from people who are perishing. Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don't believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don't understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God."
Ephesians 1:3-14 [NLT] "All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding. God has now revealed to us his mysterious plan regarding Christ, a plan to fulfill his own good pleasure. And this is the plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ--everything in heaven and on earth. Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan. God's purpose was that we Jews who were the first to trust in Christ would bring praise and glory to God. And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. The Spirit is God's guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him."
Ephesians 2:1-10 [NLT] "Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil--the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God's anger, just like everyone else. But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God's grace that you have been saved!) For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus. God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago."

Within these verses you will find the Doctrines of Grace!
(See, we can define what we believe and why, even if y'all cannot.)

That's what Calvinists do. Below is chapter 3 of Bob Kirkland’s book, Calvinism: None Dare Call It Heresy.

“Calvinism: Changing the Meaning of Words to Promote a Theory”

By Bob Kirkland

The only way Calvinists can support their theory from the Bible is to alter the meaning of Bible words or take them out of context. When a Calvinist teaches “whosoever will,” he means whosoever “God wills.” Calvinist Arthur (A. W.) Pink (1886-1952), who “sparked a renewed interest in the exposition of Calvinism,”1 wrote, “The fact is, the love of God is a truth for the saints only.”2 He said:

[T]he “world” in John 3:16 must, in the final analysis, refer to the world of God’s people.3
When a Calvinist talks about the “sovereignty” of God, he has his own definition of the word sovereignty (as he does with the word depravity). Easton’s Illustrated Bible Dictionary says that the sovereignty of God is “[H]is absolute right to do all things according to his own good pleasure.”4

God, in His sovereignty, in His absolute right to do all things according to His own good pleasure, has established some laws for mankind. For example, the Bible says, “except ye repent ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3). God, in His sovereignty, has determined that the sinner who does not repent will not gain eternal life.

Considering that the word “sovereignty” is not in the Bible and considering the actual meaning of the word, rather than Calvin’s distorted meaning (which he needed to support his theory), we see God is no less sovereign because He, according to His own good pleasure, gives man a free will making him capable of repenting of his sin and receiving Christ as his Savior.

Again, when A. W. Pink said the “‘world’ in John 3:16 must, in the final analysis, refer to the world of God’s people,” he continued, saying, “Must we say, for there is no alternative solution.”5 The dictionary says, a solution is, “an answer to a problem.” John 3:16 presents no problem unless you are a Calvinist needing a “solution” to support your theory. The way a Calvinist solves his problem is to simply change the meaning of words in the Bible and in the dictionary to mean what they need to mean to support their position.

Calvinist writers have made many declarations that God has decreed everything that would happen in this world, from Adam’s sin to the doom of billions of people in Hell. The only way they can maintain their theory is to change the words “world” and “whosoever” to “elect.” Since Calvinists can change these words in John 3:16, it must be all right to change these words in John 15:18-19.

Yes the above is exactly what they do with words/phrases both adding to and taking away from scripture. As a former calvinist for over 4 decades I did the same thing with those passages and words.

you meant this: people who speak evil about the truth of the gospel are speaking evil against Gods salvation.

and you are guilty of the above by calling tulip the gospel.

The gospel message is the "good news" of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) and is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes.. (Romans 1:16) To "believe" the gospel is to trust in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of our salvation.

1 Corinthians 1:18 - For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. 20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

  • Mark 6:11 [NKJV] "And whoever will not receive you nor hear you, when you depart from there, shake off the dust under your feet as a testimony against them. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!"
  • Luke 9:5 [NKJV] "And whoever will not receive you, when you go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet as a testimony against them."

Whose "WILL" are you trusting your eternity to?
  • "whosoever"
  • "God"

If God does it all, why do you even have to trust.

Trusting is irrelevant unless you actually play a part.
God makes them trust. That way its not their faith its Gods faith otherwise in reformed theology its a work.

hmmmm I wonder if it works the same way with prayer. :)

Either you will chose to believe the Gospel or you will chose to reject the Gospel. We live in a world that offers us an almost infinite number of possibilities, and countless options vie for our attention.

The same may be said of Christianity and the broad range of theological themes that a student might pursue. There is an almost infinite number of biblical truths that a man might spend a lifetime examining.

The way I see it, one theme rises above them all and is foundational to the understanding of all other biblical truth: the gospel of Jesus Christ.
