Eternal Justification !

God does not determin the ultimate destiny of all people, either heaven or hell, long before they even exist.

It is because of man’s own unbelief or belife in Jeses that man is condemned to Hell or has eternal life..

John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

The question of being saved is the supreme question of the Bible. The bible is all about the subject of salvation. Justification is sometimes used as a synonym for salvation; at other times it is seen as one aspect in the whole scheme of redemption as in John 3:16-18:

For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.
17 For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.

18 He who believes in Him [who clings to, trusts in, relies on Him] is not judged [he who trusts in Him never comes up for judgment; for him there is no rejection, no condemnation—he incurs no damnation]; but he who does not believe (cleave to, rely on, trust in Him) is judged already [he has already been convicted and has already received his sentence] because he has not believed in and trusted in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [He is condemned for refusing to let his trust rest in Christ’s name.]

Through Jesus's crucifixion and resurrection, God offers humans salvation and eternal life, with Jesus's death atoning for all sin, thus making humanity right with God, not just the elect.

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Another reason for eternal justification of Gods elect is because:

Justified while ungodly

The elect are justified whilst ungodly Romans 4:5

5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

which means before believing/Faith. Justification then, does not depend upon a sinner’s obedience or personal faith. But instead a sinner is justified upon the basis of the perfect righteousness of Jesus Christ, which is eternal, and its imputation in the established purpose of God. 1

Romans 5:1 being justified through faith.

THEREFORE, SINCE we are justified (acquitted, declared righteous, and given a right standing with God) through faith, let us [grasp the fact that we] have [the peace of reconciliation to hold and to enjoy] peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

The English word justification is a direct translation of the Greek term dikaiosis, a literal legal term that emanated from the action of making something or someone righteous.

The ultimate goal of justification is the conversion of a sinner into a righteous believer. That happens by having faith and believing in what Jesus accomplished on the cross. God has already done all of the work. All we must do is receive, in faith, the salvation God offers.

Ephesians 2:8-9
For it is by free grace (God’s unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God;

Not because of works [not the fulfillment of the Law’s demands], lest any man should boast. [It is not the result of what anyone can possibly do, so no one can pride himself in it or take glory to himself.]

Another reason for eternal justification of Gods elect is because: The essence of justification. Its freely done by grace Rom 3:24

24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Such Grace was given the elect in Christ before the world began 2 Tim 1:9

9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

Christ had been slain
in the eternal purpose of God from the foundation Rev 13:8

8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.2

Another reason for eternal justification of Gods elect is because: Justification apart from faith
Justification before God does not depend on the apparatus of faith: For instance the elect who die in infancy have not exercised faith or fulfilled the act of believing, yet they are justified Rom 8:33. Gods sovereign grace is the decisive cause of justification, not the faith of those justified. This grace was given Gods elect in Christ their mediator/surety before the world began 2 Tim 1:9

9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

And the elect are Justified by that grace Rom 3:24

24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

1-Faith goes beyond reason, it believes without understanding why. ( Heb 11:1)
2-Faith chooses to endure ill treatment (Heb 11:25)
3-Faith accepts all things as a part of God will, Paul’s imprisonment.( Phil1:12)
4-You are not born with faith, it comes from hearing Gods word(Rom 10:17)
5-You cannot be saved without faith.(John 3:36)
6- No peace with God without faith.(Rom 5:1)
7- You are justified by faith(Gal 2:16)
8- Christ dwells in our hearts by faith (Eph 3:17)
9-The Spirit is received by faith (Gal 3:2) 10-And finally Jesus alone is the author and finisher of our faith.(Heb 12:2).

hope this helps !!!

Another reason for eternal justification of Gods elect is because :

Faith emanates from justification. God gives Faith to a person because they have been made/declared righteous, so we have the Divine Promise that the Just or Justified shall live by Faith Rom 1:17

17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

The just are made so by the obedience of Christ Rom 5:19

19
For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.2

Nothing about eternal there as you are adding to scripture.

Another reason for eternal justification iis because when we are accepted, we are Justified, and the elect were accepted in Christ the beloved, according to having been chosen in Him before the foundation of the world Eph 1:3-6

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

Notice this being accepted in the beloved is to the praise of the Glory of His Grace ! Which Grace was given to the Elect in Christ before the foundation of the world 2 Tim 1:9

9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, 3

The Scriptural Logical case for Eternal Justification

Justification being an act of God, in his eternal counsel and purpose, before the world began; Rom.8:29,30,33
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified

33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

The Eternal God doesnt Justify on reasons outside of Himself and His Eternal Purpose in Christ Eph 3:11

11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: 4

Paul defines justification as God’s declaration that sinners who believe in Christ are fully pardoned, acquitted of all guilt and are in a right legal standing before him, on the basis of what God has done in Jesus Christ.

He understood the truth of justification by faith alone as the Important and initial part in the sinner’s redemptive relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

Its reasonable to conclude that the elect have been Justified from everlasting from their sins before God, if He was setup as their Surety from everlasting, if that was the case, their sins were then laid upon Him. We believe that a everlasting covenant did exist in the Godhead because of scriptures like Heb 13:20

20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

The old patriarch David said 2 Sam 23:5

Although my house be not so with God; yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure: for this is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he make it not to grow.

This covenant was shewed to David Ps 25:14

The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant. 4

The elect of God are eternally Justified before God because of their acceptance by Him, having been chosen in Him before the foundation of the world. Eph 1:4-6

This word accepted is the greek word charitoó:

to make graceful, endow with grace I favor, bestow freely on.

Its the very same word used when the Holy Spirit inspired Luke to write of mary Lk 1:28

28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

Hence due to their election in Christ, they are in a highly favoured Justified state with God, and this according as He chose them in Christ before the foundation of the world.

Ps 103:17

17But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;

I do not think it will be argued that Justification by Faith is a very great mercy to experience in this life. This mercy was not just random or by chance , or by freewill, but was established as a sure mercy from everlasting. God, the everlasting God, Preached the gospel of Justification to Abraham centuries ago Gal 3:8

8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

which is referring to Gen 12:3

3And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

But now what was the previous bases for this Mercy ? I believe it was the everlasting Covenant which is what Ps 103:17 is referring to, as the Mercy from everlasting.

I believe Jesus coming in the incarnation was a effect of that Covenant and why He is called the promised mercy.

Lk 1:67-73,77,78

67And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying,

68Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,

69And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David;

70As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began:

71That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;

72To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;

73
The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,

77To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,

78Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, !

So Christ coming to die for His People is the fruition of the everlasting covenant. His coming was an act of mercy, in that He would give himself, his soul an offering for sin, for the transgressions of God's People. 1

Amen apart from faith coming first there is no one who is justified. :)

@Hosanna

Paul defines justification as God’s declaration that sinners who believe in Christ are fully pardoned, acquitted of all guilt and are in a right legal standing before him, on the basis of what God has done in Jesus Christ.

Correct, because they believed in Christ after having found out they were fully acquitted of all guilt on the basis of what God has done in Jesus Christ. They were fully acquitted before God before the foundation premised on what Christ would do in time at the Cross, for in the Mind and Purpose of God Jesus was the Lamb Slain from the foundation of the world Rev 13:8 and its limited to them whose names were written in the Lambs Book of life as Early.

Justification from everlasting ! continued

So Christ coming to die for His People is the fruition of the everlasting covenant. His coming was an act of mercy, in that He would give himself, his soul an offering for sin, for the transgressions of God's People.

Isa 53:8-11

8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

9
And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

Now no one can read this and not perceive that Christ came into the world with the sin burden [imputed] of His People He was to die for. Was not that evident from His prayer right before his crucifixion in the garden. Was not the cup He was to drink, the punishment for the imputed Transgressions of the Elect of God Matt 26:38
-42
38Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.

39 And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?

41Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

42 He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.

Lk 22:44

And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
I believe this vividly shows That sin had been laid to His charge already.

Now here is the big question that needs to be answered, When was this cup laid to His Charge ? We know it was before the actual cross, for the foregoing event in the garden supposes that. The cup of the imputed guilt of The sins of God's People was laid on Him from everlasting, as the Surety of the Everlasting Covenant. See Heb 7:22

He struck hands as it were with the Father to become its Surety Prov 6:1

My son, if thou be surety for thy friend, if thou hast stricken thy hand with a stranger,

Now if this be True, then it must also be True, that God, from everlasting, never laid to the charge the iniquities of them Christ had become a Surety for, because God could not now hold them both responsible, that is Christ and them He covenanted for.

This would be therefore their Justification from everlasting. How can those who God will not impute sin, not be Justified ? Thats why Paul wrote in Rom 8:33

33Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

We plainly see here that non imputed charges = God Justifying !

Here we have it, God not laying any charges on His elect, because they were laid upon their surety, constitutes their Justification before Him.
The only way this Truth can be denied, or not true, is Christ not having become a surety for the sins of Gods elect from everlasting.
