Eternal Justification !

I have to disagree in fact thats works. You say mans action of accepting has more legal accomplishment before God than the Cross/Blood of Christ has.
Well finally the truth comes out he disagree with facts that work thank you for admitting it.

Justification results from believing and accepting what Jesus did on the cross. He paid the sin debt. Now we can come boldly to the throne. He said himself on the cross that it was finished. Justification wasn't finished until he died on the cross. It didn't happen before the foundations of the world were laid.

The legal accomplishment was all done by Jesus for sinners.

The Elect were Justified in Christ before the world began !

Now this is True on Two grounds. #1 They are in Christ due to their election in Him Eph 1:4 and 1 Cor 1:30

It is because of him[God the Father] that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God--that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. NIV

And He chose them in Him before the foundation Eph 1:4

he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love

And we know that there is no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus Rom 8:1

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,

Therefore they are them that are Justified. Justification is the antithesis to condemnation as seen here Rom 5:18

Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people.

John Gill writes of Rom 8:1 "them who are in Christ Jesus "

which are in Christ Jesus; not as mere professors are in Christ, who may be lost and damned: but this being in Christ, respects either that union and interest which the elect of God have in Christ, from everlasting: being loved by him with an everlasting love; betrothed to him in a conjugal relation; chosen in him before the foundation of the world; united to him as members to an head; considered in him in the covenant of grace, when he engaged for them as their surety; and so they were preserved in him, notwithstanding their fall in Adam; in time he took upon him their nature, and represented them in it; they were reckoned in him when he hung upon the cross, was buried, rose again, and sat down in heavenly places; in consequence of which union to Christ, and being in him, they are secure from all condemnation: or this may respect an open and manifestative being in Christ at conversion, when they become new creatures, pass from death to life, and so shall never enter into condemnation: hence they stand further described, as such

So the mere fact that some were Chosen by God in Christ before the foundation, necessitates their Eternal Justification before the foundation. You cant believe in Election, and deny Eternal Justification as some men do !10

Accepted in Him equates to Justification in Him !

In line with the fact that Gods elect/chosen are Justified in Christ before the foundation as Per Eph 1:4, because they are in Him, and there's no condemnation to them in Him Rom 8:1

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. esv

Just as clear is that those Chosen in Christ before the foundation, were as early accepted in Him the Beloved Eph 1:6

to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He has freely given us in the Beloved One,

This agrees with 2 Tim 1:9 that Grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began:

He has saved us and called us to a holy life--not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,

And so they were accepted in the Beloved. Eph 1:6

6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.

To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

That word in the greek χαριτόω means:

I favor, bestow freely on.

properly, highly-favored because receptive to God's grace. 5487 (xaritóō) is used twice in the NT (Lk 1:28 and Eph 1:6), both times of God extending Himself to freely bestow grace (favor).

And of course we are Justified freely by His Grace Rom 3:24;Titus 3:7

And then the english word itself for accepted means:

to have a favorable opinion of, Approved.

Remember when God told cain that if he did good he would be accepted Gen 4:7

If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted?

Well, Gods chosen are accepted in Christ before the foundation without doing anything good, it was by free grace ! And this Justified them before God !

Justification is the act of God whereby He declares believing sinners righteous in Christ on the basis of the finished work of Christ on the cross. Each part of this definition is important, so we must consider it carefully.

Justification is an act, not a process. There are no degrees of justification; each of us believers has the same right standing before God. Also, justification is something done by God, not by us. We cannot justify ourselves before God. Most important, justification does not mean that God makes us righteous, but that He declares us righteous. Justification is a legal matter. God puts the righteousness of Christ on our records in the place of our own sinfulness. And nobody can change these records.

We must not confuse justification and sanctification. Sanctification is the process whereby God makes believers more and more like Christ. Sanctification may change from day to day. Justification never changes. When we trust Christ, God declares us righteous, and that declaration will never be repealed. God looks upon us and deals with us as though we had never sinned at all!

Therefore, [inheriting] the promise is the outcome of faith and depends [entirely] on faith, in order that it might be given as an act of grace (unmerited favor), to make it stable and valid and guaranteed to all his descendants—not only to the devotees and adherents of the Law, but also to those who share the faith of Abraham, who is [thus] the father of us all.
17 As it is written, I have made you the father of many nations. [He was appointed our father] in the sight of God in Whom he believed, Who gives life to the dead and speaks of the nonexistent things that [He has foretold and promised] as if they [already] existed. [Gen. 17:5.]
18 [For Abraham, human reason for] hope being gone, hoped in faith that he should become the father of many nations, as he had been promised, So [numberless] shall your descendants be. [Gen. 15:5.]
19 He did not weaken in faith when he considered the [utter] impotence of his own body, which was as good as dead because he was about a hundred years old, or [when he considered] the barrenness of Sarah’s [deadened] womb. [Gen. 17:17; 18:11.]
20 No unbelief or distrust made him waver (doubtingly question) concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and was empowered by faith as he gave praise and glory to God,
21 Fully satisfied and assured that God was able and mighty to keep His word and to do what He had promised.
22 That is why his faith was credited to him as righteousness (right standing with God).
23 But [the words], It was credited to him, were written not for his sake alone,
24 But [they were written] for our sakes too. [Righteousness, standing acceptable to God] will be granted and credited to us also who believe in (trust in, adhere to, and rely on) God, Who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead,
25 Who was betrayed and put to death because of our misdeeds and was raised to secure our justification (our acquittal), [making our account balance and absolving us from all guilt before God].
Romans 4:16–25

I maybe take issue a bit with what you say God doesn't make us righteous. We're maybe on the same page but people can mean different things by such a statement. I believe he does make us righteous that is my the righteousness of Christ being placed upon us. When he says in 1 Jn 1:9 he cleanses us from all unrighteousness then if you take the two letter U...N... from off of the start of that word your left with being righteous.

That's not righteous because of what we achieve ourselves though but it's the righteousness by faith.

@John Evens

Justification is the act of God whereby He declares believing sinners righteous in Christ on the basis of the finished work of Christ on the cross. Each part of this definition is important, so we must consider it carefully.

This is not correct, Justification is an eternal act of God when He decided/purposed to charge Christ with the sins of His elect before the foundation, which purpose He decided not to charge the elect themselves with their sins.

Also Justification of the elect took place legally at the Cross when He in time actually paid for their sin condemnation, hence Justifying them by His Blood Rom 5:9

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

So the elect were legally justified and reconciled to God while being unbelievers.

Then when they are regenerated by the Spirit and given the Gift of Faith, they then are Justified by Faith in their conscience by the knowledge of what Christ has done.

Correct, We are the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ.

For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21

Being the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus signifies your identity in Christ. It means being justified, forgiven, and adopted into God’s family, and is a gift from God received by faith. Righteousness in Christ encompasses the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and the process of sanctification. When God sees you, he approves of you because you are a bearer of his righteousness, and you are justified in his sight. Christ has become our righteousness, holiness, and redemption

Justification and the remission of sins are two sides of the one coin—and both are closely related to adoption. But there can be no verdict of justified if the penalty for sin has not been paid. If justification isn’t at the center of our gospel, we don’t have good news at all.

Without justification, we’re left trying to work out how to deal with the guilt of our sins. And we know that doesn't work. At best, we would have a half-finished work to proclaim: God’s done all he can, now it’s up to you, and don’t blame him if you screw it up!

But since justification is real, then we have truly good news! For our justification can’t be undone; it’s not something we did in the first place.

Good point. Here's a sermon from Logos Bible Software On justification.

Justification

we are looking at the subject of Justification
also known as “To Make Righteous”
Romans 5:1 AV
1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
Romans 5:1 HCSB
1 Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Justification is a legal term To Make Just
to be declared NOT GUILTY
Justification is a 1 time act , of the grace of God, to a sinner
By God the Judge of the world
Abstract of Systematic Theology Chapter XXXV: Justification
Justification is a judicial act of God, by which, on account of the meritorious work of Christ, imputed to a sinner and received by him through that faith which vitally unites him to his substitute and Saviour, God declares that sinner to be free from the demands of the law, and entitled to the rewards due to the obedience of that substitute.
James Petigru Boyce
Systematic Theology § 1. Symbolical Statement of the Doctrine
Justification is defined in the Westminster Catechism, “An act of God’s free grace, wherein He pardoneth all our sins, and accepteth us as righteous in his sight, only for the righteousness of Christ imputed to us, and received by faith alone.”
Charles Hodge
When God declares us justified. He is saying that the claims of justice, so far as he is concerned are satisfied
God has declared the person perfectly righteous
Romans 8:33 AV
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.

How The Judge Can Pronounce Innocence

maybe your defence strategy is to keep the law
Romans 3:20 AV
20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
or I could explain to the judge, I’m really a good person
Romans 3:10 AV
10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
or the fact that my good thing outweigh the bad
James 2:10 AV
10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
if some keep the law perfectly
or some other way to be judged righteous
then Jesus died needlessly
Galatians 2:21 AV
21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
So if this is our defence strategy - we will be found Guilty
But God does make righteous
it is nothing inside of us
it is nothing that we can contribute to, to help along
But God has a remedy
Romans 3:22 AV
22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
God gives us His righteousness
by faith we receive this Justification
In Jesus
1 Corinthians 15:3–4 AV
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
by faith in the work of Jesus on the cross
Jesus being sinless was not on the cross for himself
Jesus was there for us.
the blood that Jesus shed on the cross
Romans 5:9 AV
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
God can find those who have faith in Jesus to be not guilty

Lets Dive Deeper

What happened to our sin?
The Imputation
putting something onto someone else account
I want to impute $100 into his checking account
all our sin has been imputed onto Jesus on the cross
Jesus publickly paid the price of death for our sin
2 Corinthians 5:21 AV
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
The righteousness of Jesus is Imputed to us
put into our account
Romans 4:5 AV
5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
Isaiah 53:11 AV
11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
So when we believe in what Jesus has done for us
God The Judge Declares that Justice is satisfied.
and we have the righteousness that that justice demands
God declares that we are accepted as righteous on the ground of what Jesus did
Justification is not sanctification
Justification- is
declaration innocent or guilty
not a declaration of holiness
not progressive
Sanctification is
most of sanctification happens after Justification
set apart
to be made holy
progressively made more Christ like
slow steady progress to the end, with our spiritual bodies

Justification is a One Time Event

there is a dividing point between unbelief and belief
John 3:18 AV
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
at that point a person goes from condemned , to not condemned
not partially but fully innocent, Righteous in the sight of God
have been imputed with the righteousness of Jesus
never does one go back to be uncondemned
Turn to Romans 7: 18
There is no condemnation
Romans 8:33–34 AV
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. 34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Jesus is making intercession for us
Philippians 3:9 AV
9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
the law requires one to constantly go and make a sacrifice for ongoing sin
Colossians 2:13 AV
13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
we are viewed by God as righteous and treated as such
all our sins have been taken by Jesus
Romans 8:30 AV
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
“Glorification” is God’s final removal of sin from the life of the saints
removal of our sin nature
glorified bodies - Un-corruptible
at the rapture, our bodies in heaven
All who are justified are glorified
In Gods eyes its a done deal
when He justifies us - He Glorifies us

Blessed with all spiritual blessings means eternal Justification !

Back in the book of Ephesians, Paul writes these words to Believers, Gods Chosen Eph 1:1-4

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:

2 Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world,
that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

According to our election in Christ, God blessed the elect with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. Some of these spiritual blessings we partake of only after we're born into the world, like regeneration and faith, both spiritual blessings, however Justification before the Mind of God is a Spiritual blessing we have in Christ as early as our election in Him was, before the foundation of the world.

Yes, all the elect like other men are born dead in sin, and are by nature children of wrath as others, but different from the non elect portion of mankind, they have been chosen in Christ before the foundation, and in Him have been given all spiritual blessings, such as Justification, and so unlike the non elect, they are still born Justified before God, even as they are born, by nature, children of wrath as others ! 11

Massive failure on your part to understand that Paul's audience is already faithful regenerated believers and not part of a calvinist caste system. Calvinist caste systems are a product of Hindu beliefs. We are Christian believers, not Hindu believers. Do you understand?

Nothing but empty rhetoric based upon false assumptions, void of the truth from scripture
