Are we under any covenants?

Utter nonsense. read the text

Galatians 3:16–29 (KJV 1900) — 16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. 17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. ................... 26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Jew or Greek. He didn't say "Gentiles." He was referring to Hellenized Jews who live in Gentile lands outside Israel. After all, when the remnant returned which was about 10% of all Hebrews living in exile in Gentile lands they came from Babylon and returned to Israel with Hezekiah. The rest of the majority of Hebrews living at the time remained in Gentile lands in-between which were 90% of all Hebrews while 10% went to Israel. The Galatian region is Greek culture administered by Roman law. In other words what Saul was saying is that Jew and Hellenized Jews who grew up in Greek culture and influenced by Greek culture (Hellenized.)
They were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world. That's what being Hellenized living in a Greek culture was to these Jews that no matter living their lives generation after generation since 522 BC the good news of Israel's Messiah's arrival was the beginning of coming back into the fold still a Jew and Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise for the promise is to them and to those afar off for the covenant is between God, Abraham, and Abraham's seed and they were still Abraham's seed.

Just remember, God never made any covenant with non-Hebrew Gentiles. They have nothing coming to them of God. That's why He's called the God of Abraham (father), Isaac (son), and Jacob (grandson.) There are no Gentiles in any of the Hebrew Covenants. Let me ask you something and answer it: The New Covenant prophesied by Jeremiah in 31:31-34 names the House of Israel and Judah as being in this covenant with God.

Where in this prophecy do you get "Gentiles" mentioned by Jeremiah as being in this covenant?

Ephesians 2:11–19 — 11 Therefore, remember that formerly you who are Gentiles by birth and called “uncircumcised” by those who call themselves “the circumcision” (which is done in the body by human hands)—12 remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. 14 For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, 15 by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, 16 and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. 17 He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. 18 For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. 19 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers (to the covenants), but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household,

Galatians 3:14 (KJV 1900) — 14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Gentiles who believe on Christ receive the blessings of the Abrahamic covenant

Your idea these are Hebrew gentiles is absurd. A product of your biases
You are a neophyte. You've never been discipled and never studied under the anointing. You keep repeating the same verses over and again, but you never address Genesis 12, 15, and 17 where the details of the Abraham Covenant is found and that at the time Abraham was speaking with God there were no Gentiles in this covenant. I think you're not saved and want so much to be saved but knowing you're not Hebrew or a biological seed of Abraham you don't want to be eternally separated from God and so every instance of "Gentile" in the NT you take and say, "See, Paul is talking about Gentiles in Galatians 3:28 and so Gentiles are in the covenant."

There is no depth to your understanding. It's all superficial and every Gentile that is merely superficially familiar with bible verses just keep posting verses but no original thinking. With all the theology out there in books anyone can do what you're doing. But I'm going to step out there after all this time with you and say you're not a born-again Christian and someone taught you to just join this or that church and you'll be a Christian. Is that how it went with you?

Isn't it commanded by God to anyone claiming to be Christian to take the Scriptures as written and to take out doctrinal understanding of those Scriptures without adding or changing to anything written in those Scriptures and that no writer of the New Covenant (NT) would "break" or contradict what is written in the Hebrew Scriptures (OT)? And that any understanding or interpretation that "breaks" or contradicts the Hebrew Scripture (OT) should be rejected? Does Luke or Saul's statements "break" or contradict what is written in the Hebrew Scripture (OT), specifically that the Abraham covenant is between God, Abraham, and Abraham's seed and that "nations" and "kings" in Genesis 17:6 refer to the descendants of Ishmael and Esau since "nations" and "kings" do "come out of thee" (Abraham) are not referencing non-Hebrew Gentiles? The Apostles possess the authority to abrogate various OT practices. They did so on the authority of the Holy Spirit (Acts 15:28).
The New Covenant IS the New Testament.

The New Covenant IS the Mosaic Covenant fulfilled by Christ and is not a standalone covenant all by itself and that the New Covenant of Jeremiah 31:31-34 states this New Covenant is between God and the House of Israel and the House of Judah and there are no non-Hebrew Gentiles named as being in the New Covenant that says it is between God and the Houses of Israel and Judah? Where do you read non-Hebrew Gentiles in Jeremiah's prophecy (31:31-34)?
On the Apostolic Authority that Paul possessed, he practiced the New Covenant with both Gentiles Believers and Jews Believers:

(1 Cor 10:16) The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?
(1 Cor 10:17) For we, the many, are one bread and one body; for we are all partakers of that one bread.

How do Judaizing Jews practice the New Covenant?

The Abraham Covenant is between God, Abram the Hebrew, and with Abram the Hebrew's seed.

There are no non-Hebrew Gentiles in any of the three Hebrew Covenants.

None.

So, before God you are telling lies.
Abraham was a Gentile who was chosen by God to be the ancestor of the Jewish people.

The term Jew is a shortened form of the word Judah, which was the name of one of the tribes of Israel, the tribe of David and of Jesus (Matthew 1:1). Judah was also the name of the southern half of the kingdom of Israel when it split into two parts (1 Kings 12), because it was dominated by the large tribe of Judah. The first time the word Jew is used in the Bible is during the exile (2 Kings 25:25), and may have been a term coined by the Babylonians or Persians to refer to the people in their midst who had come from the kingdom of Judah. By New Testament times, Jew was a common term, and it has remained in usage unto this day. Obviously, Abraham was never referred to by this term.

The term Gentile is simply from the Latin word for “nation.” When the term Gentiles is used in Scripture, it means “the nations.” If a person is a Gentile, he or she is a member of one of the many nations in the world. When Jew and Gentile are juxtaposed, the contrast is between one who is a member of God’s chosen nation and one who is a member of one of the hundreds of other nations or ethnic groups not chosen for special blessing in the way that Israel was. In this context, Gentile simply means “not Jewish.”

Abraham started out as a member of one of the many nations or ethnic groups that were in existence at the time. (Of course, these are somewhat artificial distinctions, because all people came from Adam and Eve, and all people are related if the genealogy is traced back far enough. However, after Babel, people started to segregate into smaller groups and develop into distinctive ethnic groups, clans, and nations.) Abraham was living in Ur of the Chaldeans. While he was there, God called him:

“The Lord had said to Abram, ‘Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you’” (Genesis 12:1–3).

At that point, Abraham was called and set apart for God’s purposes. He left his native country and people behind. His descendants would become the great nation of Israel, God’s chosen people, but the line had not been narrowed down yet. Abraham had several sons: Isaac, by his wife Sarah; Ishmael, by a slave of Sarah; and other sons with another wife after Sarah died. However, it was only Isaac who was the chosen one. Isaac had two sons, Jacob and Esau, and only Jacob (whose name was later changed to Israel) was the chosen one. All of Jacob’s 12 sons were included as patriarchs in the nation of Israel and became the basis for the 12 tribes. It was at this point that the line had been finally set; however, the wives of Jacob’s sons were still from outside the family.

With the next generation of Jacob’s grandchildren, the descendants of Jacob became a distinct people group, and they were distinguished from the Egyptians among whom they were living as having all descended from one man named Israel. By the time of Exodus 1, they were recognized as a distinct nation.

Technically, no one was called a “Jew” before the exile; however, the people who became known as Jews were a distinct ethnic group by the time of Exodus 1. They were a distinct clan by the time of Jacob and his sons. Abraham was a Gentile, that is, a member of one of the many nations that had developed by his time. The Jews came from Abraham because he was chosen by God from among the nations to be the origin of a new nation. The Jews of Jesus’ day looked to Abraham (not Jacob/Israel) as the head of their race (see Matthew 3:9; Luke 3:8; John 8:39; Acts 13:26; Galatians 3:7). If one is thinking in these terms, it would not be wrong to think of Abraham as “the first Jew,” although that’s not technically correct.got?

hope this helps !!!

Galatians 3:14 (KJV 1900) — 14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

You deny scripture from both the old and New Testament because of your irrational hatred of your fellow man

Isaiah 42:1-7 God is speaking about and to His servant Jesus. Verse 6 says:

"I am the Lord, I have called You in righteousness. I will also hold You by the hand and watch over You, AND I WILL APPOINT YOU AS A COVENANT TO THE PEOPLE, AS A LIGHT TO THE NATIONS."

So God has appointed Jesus as a covenant and a light to the Gentiles. That's the New Covenant going out to all the world.

He confirms this again in Isaiah 49:5-8

In verse 6, God says, "It is too small a thing that You should be My servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved ones of Israel;
I WILL ALSO MAKE YOU A LIGHT OF THE NATIONS SO THAT MY SALVATION MAY REACH TO THE END OF THE EARTH."

Verse 8 "Thus says the Lord, 'In a favorable time I have answered You, and in a day of salvation I have helped You; I WILL KEEP YOU AND GIVE YOU FOR A COVENANT OF THE PEOPLE, ..."

Again God gave Jesus for a covenant, a New Covenant, of the Gentiles, as well as believing Jews.

The Apostles possess the authority to abrogate various OT practices. They did so on the authority of the Holy Spirit (Acts 15:28).

Where does Jesus give the disciples authority to "abrogate God's Word" which lives and abides forever?

Peter is the one saying this about the Hebrew Scripture Law, Psalms, and Prophets:

23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. 1 Pe 1:23.

If Jesus gave them such authority OVER God's Word Peter wouldn't have said it this way but would have been more limited instead of exhaustive if there were some practices in the Law he or the others abrogated, as you say. No man has authority to abrogate God's Holy Word. It is the Hebrew Scripture specifically the Law by which after we are born-again is used by the Holy Spirit for instruction in righteousness so that the man (and woman) of God may be throughly furnished unto all good works (2 Tim. 3:16-17.) At least Peter if he did have such authority to abrogate God's eternal Word - which he didn't - would have told Saul and Saul modify what he wrote to Timothy and delineate which Laws were abrogated so that believers would not be confused for confusion is not of God.

All of the Jewish Christians who wrote letters to fellow Jews and Jewish Christians practiced the Old Covenant Law of Moses and were held in high esteem as pillars of the Church. The New Covenant is only the Mosaic Covenant fulfilled by Christ. Exactly what is there to practice, as you say, of the New Covenant? According to Jeremiah where the prophecy is recorded there is nothing for anyone to practice as the things Jeremiah mentions are all performed by God.

Example: (red is performed by God)

33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel;
After those days, saith the LORD,
I will put my law in their inward parts,
And write it in their hearts;
And will be their God,
And they shall be my people.
34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying,
Know the LORD
:
For they shall all know me,
From the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD:
For I will forgive their iniquity,
And I will remember their sin no more.
Jeremiah 31:33–34.

There is nothing in this prophecy for anyone to practice. So, what are you talking about?

Jewish Christians - and Jews - practice the New Covenant by being obedient to the Law of Moses. Except for the Jews they don't see it as New Covenant but only the Old. Everything anyone who is born-again needs to know about the New Covenant is found in Jeremiah 31:31-34 and it is the same as what Jews do under the Law of the Old Covenant except they don't have the Holy Spirit and practice the Law in the spirit of the Law while the non-born-again Jews practice it in the letter of the Law. It's the same Law but is applied to each group differently.

"And God who knows the heart, testified to them (the Gentiles) giving them (the Gentiles) the Holy Spirit, just as He also did to us; AND HE MADE NO DISTINCTION BETWEEN US (Jews) and them (Gentiles), cleansing their hearts by faith." Acts 15:8-9

The eye for an eye OT Practice was abrogated in the NT. The circumcision OT Practice was abrogated in the NT. The destruction of the Temple with all of its practices was prophesied with no restoration whatsoever of its practices ever in the future Only a New Jerusalem is in store for all Christians with not even a hint of OT practices being restored.
All of the Jewish Christians who wrote letters to fellow Jews and Jewish Christians practiced the Old Covenant Law of Moses and were held in high esteem as pillars of the Church. Jesus explicitly taught the Practices of the New Covenant in Luke 22:20.

20 Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.

Gentiles are definitely part of that New Covenant brought near by the blood of Christ, as declared by Paul in Eph 2:11-13

11 Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh—who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands—
12 that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

Paul practiced the New Covenant with both Gentiles and Jewish Believers as follows:

(1 Cor 10:16) The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?
(1 Cor 10:17) For we, the many, are one bread and one body; for we are all partakers of that one bread.

All Judaizers have thrown all those New Covenant practices out the window. Instead of that, I highly recommend that you throw that Ethnic Cleansing Judaizing spirit of yours out the window.

Yes good verse

Acts 15:14–17 (KJV 1900) — 14 Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name. 15 And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written, 16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: 17 That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.

Abraham was never a "Gentile." He was Hebrew And descendant of Eber from whom all the Hebrews derive.

Eber appears in the genealogy of Noah's descendants. He is considered the ancestor of the Hebrew people, and his name is closely tied to the term "Hebrew."

in Genesis

  • Lineage: Eber is a great-grandson of Noah, son of Shelah, and grandson of Arphaxad.
  • Significance: The Hebrew Bible states that "from Eber came all the Hebrews" (Genesis 10:21). This makes Eber a pivotal figure in the origins of the Hebrew people.
Extra-biblical accounts:
While the biblical account of Eber is well-established, there are limited historical references to him outside the Bible. However, the name "Hebrew" itself, derived from "Eber," has been used to describe the ancient Israelites and their descendants for centuries.

Connection Between Eber and "Hebrew"

  • Etymology: The term "Hebrew" is believed to be derived from the name Eber. It would have originally referred to the descendants of Eber, and later became a broader term for the Israelites.
  • Historical Usage: The name "Hebrew" has been used in various historical texts, including the Hebrew Bible, the Dead Sea Scrolls, and Roman and Greek sources, to describe the ancient Israelites and their language.
Eber serves as a crucial link between the biblical account of the origins of the Hebrew people and the historical usage of the term "Hebrew." His name has become synonymous with the Hebrew people and their ancestors, solidifying his place in biblical and historical narratives.

The people born from Adam and Eve and the intermarriages and unions among brothers and sister, uncles and aunts, cousins, etc., the people can be called Adamites. Later tribes were born to Ishmael and Esau, and of course, Jacob/Israel. The children born to Ham and Japheth were not called "Gentile" for the term was not used until Abraham's covenant with God and circumcision separated Abram the Hebrew (Gen. 14:13) from those not in covenant. Generations before Abram was born God made command for the people to "fill the earth" (scatter/separate) but most people remained together and in time Nimrod who was a "Mighty hunter" (he hunted people) became leader and had great initiative. He led the people to build Babel in honor to himself, but God confused their language, and the people scattered anyway. But there were a people obedient to God born from Noah and that was the children of Shem. In a couple of generations, a man named Salah took his family and crossed most likely the Euphrates to obey God and separate as commanded. To commemorate the crossing over he names one of his sons "Eber" which means "crossed over."

As stated above Abram was Hebrew, a descendant of Eber and God makes this known in Genesis 14:13. His family line was obedient to God and when the narrative concerning Abraham opens in chapter 12 it shows he was already in relationship with God being one who "called upon the LORD" (Gen. 4:26ff.)

In Genesis the word "nation" did not mean "Gentile" for it was used of God making Abraham "a great nation" (Gen. 12:2), and the word is used of Egypt (Gen. 15:14) and of God making Ishmael a "great nation" (Gen. 17:20.) So, Abraham is a Hebrew and not Gentile and the word "nation" did not mean "Gentile" at this point in cultural history. The word merely meant "massing" (as in people.)

The LORD established promises to Abraham in chapter 12. The first use of the word "covenant" is here:

18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates: Gen. 15:18.

But although the covenant promise of land is made to Abraham it is partially fulfilled by his seed (later generations.)
In chapter 17 God declares another covenant promise of making Abraham the father of many nations, and again the word does not mean "Gentile" at this point in time.

4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. Gen 17:4.

This would be fulfilled through at least two sons named in the narrative: Ishmael and Isaac. Abraham being Hebrew married his uncle's daughter (niece) who was also Hebrew and their union birth Isaac who was also Hebrew. Ishmael was the offspring of Abraham and Hagar, an Egyptian. But "nations" does not mean "Gentiles" yet.

Eber is the father of the Hebrew people and Abraham is the father of the covenant Hebrews. Once promises/covenant was made the dynamic changed and God determined a people to Himself that begins with the Abraham Covenant. The covenant was inherited by Isaac (son) and then by Jacob (grandson.) The Hebrews see Abraham as the father of this people, and he is called such in the NT. But the Samaritan woman identified Jacob as her and Jesus' father (John 4:12) declaring herself a daughter of Abraham and one of Jacob's sons (tribes.) Possibly one of the ten northern kingdom tribes.
Slowly as time passed "nations" only meant "Gentile" by its usage for it also is used of the nation of Israel and Israel in not Gentile. After God delivered the children of Israel through Moses (Levi) God made covenant at Mount Sinai with the children of Israel - all Hebrew. There are no Gentiles in the Mosaic Covenant.
Jeremiah 31:31-34 prophesied God to make a New Covenant with the House of Israel and the House of Judah, and this was initiated by Israel's Messiah and Kinsman-Redeemer, Jesus of Nazareth on the last Passover he observed. Yet the New Covenant did not begin until the Holy Spirit of Promise PROMISED TO ISRAEL arrived and three thousand Hebrews were born-again and saved. There are no non-Hebrew Gentiles in the New Covenant as all three covenants were made between God, Abraham, and Abraham's seed, the children of Israel. And Jesus Christ under the Law redeemed those under the Law and this people are the children of Israel. There are no Gentiles in any of the three Hebrew Covenants.

4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. Gal. 4:4–5.

4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth
the adoption,
and the glory,
and the covenants,
and the giving of the law,
and the service of God,
and the promises;
5 Whose are the fathers,
and of whom as concerning the flesh
Christ came,
who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
Romans 9:4–5.

Jesus said Scripture cannot be broken. There are no non-Hebrew Gentiles in any of the three Hebrew covenants. God promised everything having to do with salvation to the Jews (Hebrews) for salvation is OF THE JEWS.
