What Jesus says He will do, He does.
It's not like that. Other prophets also said they would do something without them actually being the one who did it.

Did Elijah control the weather or did God control the weather?

1 Kings 17
1Now Elijah the Tishbite, who was among the settlers of Gilead, said to Ahab, “As surely as the LORD, the God of Israel, lives, before whom I stand, there will be neither dew nor rain in these years except at my word!”

Thanks for proving Jesus is also much more than a prophet.
So Elijah said he would do something and his words didn't mean he controlled the weather. Jesus said he would do something and his words didn't mean he resurrected himself. The Bible is exhaustive that God the Father resurrected Jesus. That was easy. Care to take another swing or you done yet?

I think ol peter lag is in deadly dire danger .
And it is quite simple to show HIM but some have and he wont hear it .
IT reminds me of the unbelieving jews who told JESUS
IF you are the CHRIST THEN TELL US PLAINLY
and HE said to them I have but you beleived not . ITS THE WORKS and WORDS .
LOOK at the words of JESUS . I am alpha and omega
Look at the words of john
IN the beginning was THE WORD
and the WORD was WITH GOD
and the WORD .............WAS GOD .
Even thomas learned the truth eventually as he knelt before HIM and said exactly what HE said
and JESUS never once corrected THAT .
People are blind . GOD IS HIS WORD . its as simple as that .
As you say.... People are blind . GOD IS HIS WORD . its as simple as that .

But are they supposed to be or is it by choice. We all know who is at odds with whom in the assorted forums. Yet...........
thoise who cannot see, nor comprehend what they read..... I wonder.

Hip hip hooray... it's Johnny again. (Sorry, could not resist)

John 12:40 “HE HAS BLINDED THEIR EYES AND HE HARDENED THEIR HEART, SO THAT THEY WOULD NOT SEE WITH THEIR EYES AND PERCEIVE WITH THEIR HEART, AND BE CONVERTED AND I HEAL THEM.”

Acts 28:26 saying, ‘GO TO THIS PEOPLE AND SAY, “YOU WILL KEEP ON HEARING, BUT WILL NOT UNDERSTAND; AND YOU WILL KEEP ON SEEING, BUT WILL NOT PERCEIVE;
Isaiah 6:9 He said, “Go, and tell this people: ‘Keep on listening, but do not perceive; Keep on looking, but do not understand.’
Matthew 13:14 “In their case the prophecy of Isaiah is being fulfilled, which says, ‘YOU WILL KEEP ON HEARING, BUT WILL NOT UNDERSTAND; YOU WILL KEEP ON SEEING, BUT WILL NOT PERCEIVE;
Mark 4-12 so that WHILE SEEING, THEY MAY SEE AND NOT PERCEIVE, AND WHILE HEARING, THEY MAY HEAR AND NOT UNDERSTAND, OTHERWISE THEY MIGHT RETURN AND BE FORGIVEN.”
And ALL the rest below that apply.....

Romans 11:8
as it is written: “God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that could not see, and ears that could not hear, to this very day.”

Deuteronomy 29:4
Yet to this day the LORD has not given you a mind to understand, eyes to see, or ears to hear.

Jeremiah 5:21
“Hear this, O foolish and senseless people, who have eyes but do not see, who have ears but do not hear.

Ezekiel 12:2
“Son of man, you are living in a rebellious house. They have eyes to see but do not see, and ears to hear but do not hear, for they are a rebellious house.

Psalm 69:23
May their eyes be darkened so they cannot see, and their backs be bent forever.

Isaiah 29:10
For the LORD has poured out on you a spirit of deep sleep. He has shut your eyes, O prophets; He has covered your heads, O seers.

Isaiah 44:18
They do not comprehend or discern, for He has shut their eyes so they cannot see and closed their minds so they cannot understand.

John 9:39-41
Then Jesus declared, “For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind may see and those who see may become blind.” / Some of the Pharisees who were with Him heard this, and they asked Him, “Are we blind too?” / “If you were blind,” Jesus replied, “you would not be guilty of sin. But since you claim you can see, your guilt remains.”

Deuteronomy 29:4
Yet the LORD hath not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day.

Isaiah 6:9,10
And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not…

Elijah and Jesus are two examples of people saying they would do something and yet there are no examples of either one of them being able to do it. You are confused.

Since Jesus has "all power" He does it (Matthew 28:18).

Your jesus is confused.
The Jesus of the Bible is triumphant.

See Matthew 28:18.
That's not an example of Jesus resurrecting himself. To the contrary, Jesus had to pray and beg to be saved.

Hebrews 5
7During the days of Jesus’ earthly life, He offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the One who could save Him from death, and He was heard because of His reverence.

You guys kill me with theses statements "did Jesus lie" because that's never the question. The question is not what Jesus said, but what your understanding is of what you think Jesus said.

I already quoted a dictionary that backs me up.

Others have gave their opinions.
