Women in Ministry

Thanks my sister. a very good question. now you're highlight,

this is a Home setting, between husbands and wives. and not a Church setting. let's get the understanding.
A. the term WOMAN here is really "WIFE". Woman here is the Greek term,
G1135 γυνή gune (ǰ ï-nee') n.
1. a woman.
2. (specially) a wife.
[probably from the base of G1096]
KJV: wife, woman
Root(s): G1096

Note definition #2. ...... why do 101G say it is referring to a wife in the home? the answer is in the text itself. let's see it.
1 Timothy 2:12 "But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence." 1 Timothy 2:13 "For Adam was first formed, then Eve." 1 Timothy 2:14 "And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression." 1 Timothy 2:15 "Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety."
me. "
complete, question time, "What kind of Woman bear children?" a married one .... a wife. that's how 101G knows it is speaking about a "WIFE".

understand. if the scripture would have said,
G2338 θήλυς thelus (thee'-lïs) adj.
female.
[from thele (the nipple)]
KJV: female, woman

then that would have included all women, (married or not). see how when the Holy Spirit lead one in truth, we get the TRUTH. so 1 Timothy 2:12 is speaking of a HUSBAND and WIFE. and in this setting, (at home), it is the responsibility for the HUSBAND to TEACH/LEAD his .... "OWN" ... wife in the things of God at HOME .... "FIRST" ..... before ..... "THEY" ... come to the House of God, where both are on the same accord or in agreement, and not in confusion. meaning the husband gets up and speak on a scripture, and his OWN wife follow him saying something totally different, (or ask/question her husband while in church)..... U see it now? that's confusion, which God is not a part of.

that term "Woman" in relation to 1 Timothy 2:15 as a child bearer, made the case clear, as in also, 1 Corinthians 14:34 "Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law."

woman there is also WIFE, because of this revealing verse, the very next verse. 1 Corinthians 14:35 "And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church." Again, husbands and wives the ONLY woman who have a HUSBAND is a "WIFE". so, when they get HOME .... let them/Woman/Wives ... ask their OWN husband, meaning to LEARN at home FIRST, and if any question, ask at HOME as in 1 Timothy 2:12 ....... key word "AT HOME".

hope this helps. and if you have any other question, please asks.

101G.
Well said @101G

You are rare in our day and age. I'm glad to hear the culture has not swayed you away from our God given roles in marriage and the church.

As a side note I wish we had more female members here. :)
It's going to take a lot of love between one another and a safe secure place to find intimacy with our Maker, our God.

To all,
an apostle update. a woman apostle? for many years 101G was on the fence, to say, about this woman Junia in Roman 16:6. but being led by the Holy Spirit, well 101G has gotten off the fence. for years I didn't lean for the argument that this woman was an apostle, nor did 101G lean against it. but now 101G is sure.

and the key phrase in the scripture that revealed it all is, highlighted. Romans 16:7 "Salute Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen, and my fellowprisoners, who are of note among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me."

I spent months researching the topic of women in ministry so that I could present you with this exhaustive analysis of everything the Bible says about it.

Was Mary Magdalene "an apostle to the apostles" as NT Wright claims?
Was Junia an apostle, as a consensus of NT scholars believe?
If so, what kind of apostle was she and does that mean that women can be elders too?

The basic view of the egalitarians (who see no role differences for men and women regarding leadership in the church) is that women were in the highest possible realm of leadership in the NT since some of them were apostles. They conclude that this means women can be in any leadership role, including pastor or elder.

The basic view of the complementarians (who say that the role of elder is preserved for men) is that women were either not apostles at all or that they only were in the sense of being missionaries. Some say this means that in a period of church planting a woman can have a transitory role of authority and teaching over men but that the permanent role of elder is reserved for men. Others say that even though they were missionaries it is reasonable to think that they had different roles than male missionaries in their work.

As always, we will be going deep.

Are There Apostles Today?
by Pastor Ricky Kurth

“I realize there are no apostles today, but could you give me Scriptural back-up for this?”

“The church which is His Body” (Eph. 1:22,23) is “built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets” (Eph. 2:20), referring to grace apostles and prophets (I Cor. 12:28,29). This means that the work of an apostle was foundational in nature. If 2000 years later we are still laying the foundation of the Church, there is something seriously wrong!

Apostles and prophets could speak for God by inspiration of the Holy Spirit, speaking verbally with the same inspired authority that Paul experienced when he wrote his epistles. Paul could not be everywhere at once, and so God needed prophets who could speak with the same authority he enjoyed as he wrote his epistles. Once the Bible was complete, however, “that which is perfect” was come, and the gift of prophecy ceased (I Cor. 13:8-10). Once the gift of prophecy ceased, of course, there were no more apostles and prophets. Within the pages of His Word, God has said all that He needed to say. This is why He closed the Book by pronouncing a curse on any who would add to what was written therein (Rev. 22:18).

With this in mind, it is not just wrong to call a man an apostle today, it is dangerous. Today no man can demonstrate “the signs of an apostle” (II Cor. 12:12), and no man can speak with the same authority as the written Word of God.

Men and women have different roles in both of Gods institutions. The family and the church. That’s what’s wrong with our unbiblical societies thinking that the liberals brought into the church. I call them the spin doctors. Spinning the Bible to suit their man made doctrines.

You might as well support the gender identity too. Gender spectrum . Any roles and identity for anyone. Who cares what God has to say his He designed men and women for different roles and specific identities. Yikes

To all,
101G will give his revelation on this woman Junia. Romans 16:7 "Salute Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen, and my fellowprisoners, who are of note among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me."
Junia: was a woman who followed the Lord Jesus and served with Paul in his ministry. Family members.

Of a Note: according to the Noah Webster's 1828 Dictionary of American English 1. A mark or token; something by which a thing may be known; a visible sign. They who appertain to the visible church have all the notes of external profession.

appertain means, "To belong as a proper function or part; pertain" BELONG as a proper function or PART, belong to or a part of who? answer the apostles.

Pertain: To have reference or relevance; relate. also "of note", pertain relate to who..... answer again, the Apostles.

now knowing this appertain of these two, the critical phase is, "and my fellowprisoners, who are of note among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me." ............ IN, IN, IN, IN, Christ? yes, servants of Christ. these two was not just mere apostle of men.... not, but in, Christ.

one more "FELLOWPRISONER?" yes, in a place or prison house? NO, let the scripture, Philemon 1:23 "There salute thee Epaphras, my fellowprisoner in Christ Jesus;"

this man ERROR. is not Christ the apostle? is not Christ here ... TODAY in us? do he still sends people for the work of the Gospel? let's see. Ephesians 4:11 "And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;" WHAT FOR? Ephesians 4:12 "For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:"

so are saint perfect coming into the church today? are they just walking off the street and performing the duties of "OFFICE" in the church today. or are these coming into the church today edifying the church as soon as they come in?

my God common sense can tell us that....... no. people please read Ephesians 4:11 & 12 again. the Lord Jesus is in us, who is the apostle that set in his CHURCH.... LISTEN, 1 Corinthians 12:28 "And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues."

do 101G need to go any further?

none that was or IS in Christ Jesus. self-appointment is fraud. if the Lord Jesus did not ordain you, then you can pack your bags and go home. there are no self-taught apostles, EVER. not in Christ Jesus. which means there are no self-appointed apostles....... today, that's in Christ Jesus.

This is a deep study @101G -

“And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.” The Corinthian babes could speak with tongues, in fact those Corinthian carnal saints exercised all the sign gifts. But they could not receive the “meat”, the profound and blessed “Body” truth of Ephesians and Colossians. Compare the standing and gifts of those sanctified Corinthians with their carnal state or behavior.

STANDING AND GIFTS
I CORINTHIANS 12:8 to 10

“For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues.”

I CORINTHIANS 6:11

“And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.”

I CORINTHIANS 6:19 and 20

“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with, a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

I CORINTHIANS 6:2

“Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?”

I CORINTHIANS 12:13

“For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one Body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.”

CARNAL STATE
I CORINTHIANS 3:3

“For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?”

I CORINTHIANS 6:7 AND 8

“Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren.”

I CORINTHIANS 5:1

“It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you.”

I CORINTHIANS 8:10

“For if any man see thee which past knowledge sit at meat in the idol’s temple.”

I CORINTHIANS 11:30

“For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.”

I CORINTHIANS 15:12

“How say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?”

I CORINTHIANS 6:5

“I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you?”

Here we see that the Corinthians were saints, members of the Body of Christ, temples of the Holy Spirit, exercising all of the sign-gifts. But we also see what kind of saints they were. They certainly were not in the Body of Christ because of their sinless behavior. They did not have the gifts of the Spirit because they were spiritual. They were carnal and not able to take the “manhood” truth of Ephesians 4:13, the meat of Hebrews 5:12 to 14.

The Apostle Paul wrote the Epistle to the Ephesians, to the faithful in Christ Jesus. The majority of the saints in the Church of God, at Corinth, could not have understood the profound truths presented in Ephesians.

When we go out of Corinthians into Ephesians we say with Paul—“When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child but when I became a man, I put away childish things.” I Corinthians 13:11.

When we understand Ephesians 4:13, and live that glorious truth, and labour together with God in that program, we will know what is meant in Hebrews 5:14 and Ephesians 4:14.

“But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”

“That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness whereby they lie in wait to deceive.”

Now let us carefully note Ephesians 4:13—“Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a Perfect Man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.”

This is the ultimate of God’s eternal purpose in Christ Jesus. To enter into this wonderful truth is “to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God”, (Ephesians 3:18 and 19). This is indeed to go onto perfection.

Christ spoke in Paul to give His spiritual program for this present Divine economy which began after Saul became Paul.

Let us resolve by the grace of God, and yielding to the Holy Spirit as our infallible Guide and Teacher, that whatever may be the cost we shall line up with the Lord and work intelligently and diligently in the work He is doing, as set forth in Ephesians 4:12 and 13.

“For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the Body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a Perfect Man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.”

none that was or IS in Christ Jesus. self-appointment is fraud. if the Lord Jesus did not ordain you, then you can pack your bags and go home. there are no self-taught apostles, EVER. not in Christ Jesus. which means there are no self-appointed apostles....... today, that's in Christ Jesus.

correct, ... was Paul a witness of Messiah's death and resurrection? but he did meet the Messiah in his resurrection. but an eyewitness was in that ministry. Paul's Ministry was to Gentiles. Peter apostleship was to the Jews.
